Best tacos ever. When I was in Houston I ate them as often as possible, The chicken tacos are ridiculous. All so inexpensive and delicious. Total hole in the wall, but it’s a find. Go here right now.

Been here once. The food was good, and we will probably go again. The wait staff was friendly, but not all speak English. The restaurant is in a run down strip mall. The inside of the restaurant is also a bit dated/run down. But it was clean. Food was full of good, well blended flavors.

Our go-to for Mexican food. Friendly staff, great food, ambiance is lacking. But everything else is great! Love the green sauce!

Casa De Leon has a lunch and dinner special everyday. Their tortas, tacos, and quesadillas are good. I highly recommend their chilaquiles con salsa and get a side of sour cream with it.

Yummy hole in the wall, we got there at about 9pm on a Thursday night. There were still a good amount of people in there. The bf ordered a #8, and I did the 1 enchilada(beef tongue), 1 taco(barbacoa) combo plate. We were satisfied with the food, a little too spicy for the bf but I was supper happy with the food ! Love their green sauce ! Good value for the money ! Will definitely be back again !

Great place to go for breakfast very cheap and delicious food. They Have great dipping sauces. Amazing tortillas. I recommend the el rancero meal I think. Which ever one is eggs and beef fajita meat. Have never gone for dinner so I wouldn’t know how that is.

Their guacamole is really food. Other than that the food is just average. Any Mexican restaurant that doesn’t have homemade tortillas is just an average place. Service is good and attentive.

Second time eating there. First time was pretty good. Second time, got fajitas mixed(chicken and beef). The last half of the beef was literally rotten. I almost puked at the table. I spit it into a napkin. I sampled another piece – same thing. I eat a lot of beef, and I cook a lot of beef. I know beef pretty well. It was spoiled when it was cooked. At the end of the meal, the waiter asked me how everything was – I politely explained the beef situation. I still got the bill for the full amount. I only spit the beef out after remembering that time 8 years ago that I had a raw oyster in my mouth I could tell was rotten from a different restaurant. I chose to eat it(considering the company at the table) rather than spit it out. I got food poisoning that time. Fever, puking, 10 hours out-of-service, the whole nine yards. Anyway, one shouldn’t be considering the odds of food poisoning(based on rotten taste) while paying for food. The guacamole was top-notch for sure. But I’ll never go back. My table was dirty when I sat down and I thought about leaving. I normally get up(once a year) if I sit down at a dirty, sticky table(crumbs stuck to my arm and there were weird sticky wet spots). Should have known better. It was absolutely fucking disgusting, the beef was. The rest(other than the cleanliness) was ok.

It’s seriously always a hit and miss with this restaurant. I used to be a regular here. Sometimes I come and their fajita meat is just perfect and sometimes I come they will use dried up old meat. As well as the chips, I know for a fact they reuse their chips overnight because there are times when I come and their chips are extremely stale. The only reason I keep coming back here is because of their fajita tacos(when its nicely made) and their green sauce. But other then that, its unpleasant to not know what quality of food you’re gonna receive each time. I NEEDTOFIND A BETTERPLACETOBUYTACOSASAP.

I’ve only been here for breakfast and it is dirt cheap with very fast service. I come hear for the chilaquiles with the spicier green sauce. It’s mixed with white melting cheese topped with an egg and with a side of beans for only $ 4. There is nothing really special about the food(average) but they are very friendly and take care of you well. Another whole in the wall place in spring branch were you can leave satisfied. It is also not authentic Mexican when they offer hard shell tacos.

I have been here twice and the food is exceptionally good. I admire the longer hours and the convenience of getting here. The appetizers are good although I have to admit the guacamole lacked flavor. The rough interior is made up for with a good menu and reasonable prices. I would recommend this place to all my friends. No doubt this place serves some of the best authentic Mexican food in the Spring Branch area.

I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time and never thought to review them. When there is nothing planned for dinner we typically just stop by this place and pick up some burritos or tacos and guacamole. I like everything I have ever tried from there and I LOVE the lemonade. It has the perfect balance of sweet and tart for me. The reason I felt the need to review them now? I found out they have meal packages for large groups! We had a party for about 75 people and they quoted me an amazing price per person. Set everything up with the owner who was nothing but kind and helpful(which came in handy when arranging the food pickup). The food was wonderful everyone who ate it at the party very much enjoyed it. It consisted of Chicken fajita, beef fajita, rice, beans, salad, tortillas and all 3 salsas. Just as an FYI the green salsa is not a joke, it is SUPERSPICY! Delicious, but can burn your mouth if you’re not used to it. This place is open pretty late by the way for those who need to find a place for after 2am, this is a good option. If you need a cheap and easy suggestion: Get a regular burrito with chicken fajita!

My co-worker occasionally treats our staff to their breakfast tacos! My review is based only on the breakfast tacos and not their service or etc. We’ve tried the barbacoa, potato and egg, chorizzo and egg, ham and egg, bacon and egg. They provide us a side of limes, onions, cilantro, and taco sauce. The flour tortillas are delicious, especially when they’re hot. There are generous portions in each taco. My staff and I love these tacos! I’ll definitely consider trying other items on their menu!

First and last time I will be visiting! Although the food was edible, overall greasy and bland, not close to authentic Mexican. But that is not the worst part — never in my my life have I ordered alambres, which are typically char or pan grilled and received deep fried meat on a stick!!! We asked the server who confirmed to us that yes, the alambre is prepared by first deep frying then it is put on the grill. What was supposed to be «authentic» Mexican food, tuned out to be closer to drive thru fare. When we brought this up to the cashier/manager/owner(?) she insisted that this is the typical way alambres are prepared and that we should not have been surprised. Well if you don’t believe me, a Mexican born Texas raised foodie, below is the description straight from Wikipedia. Truly disappointing after reading and believing the good reviews below. Still searching to an authentic Mexican place in my neighborhood! Alambre a’lambre is a popular Mexican dish consisting of grilled beef topped with chopped bacon, bell peppers, onions, cheese, salsa and avocado.[1][2]

I heart CDL… I’m hopeful to find a place as good in Colorado… I’ll miss the staff and their familiar faces. They are happy to take requests and got to know my «no meat, guac instead, sans the cheese and sour cream and please add pico…» All those changes and they still knew my «usual» order! I will say that my concoction was very tasty! Dairy and I don’t get along and at the time, I wasn’t eating meat… Still, the staff were happy to accommodate. That says a lot for a tiny place. Good food… all made fresh and to order. The margs are good(and cheap) as well. Love that green sauce, but if it’s a bit much for you, squeeze a few limes in it, stir, and enjoy :)

The best definition of a hole in the wall which is true Mexican food and none of that Chuy’s tex-mex garbage! The prices are inexpensive and the food is authentic and savory. I ordered the mole chicken plate and some juicy lengua tacos which were out of this world. It is in a shady strip mall.

I wanted to give them a better rating because the beans and rice are delicious and our waiter was very nice and attentive. But the chicken in my taco and enchilada didn’t taste right. I got the shredded chicken and not the fajita meat. Furthermore, I stumbled on a chicken bone in the enchilada that could have broken a tooth. If you want a better experience with an enchilada verde, try the fajita chicken on it. I’ve had that before and it’s much better along with the wonderful green sauce.
