China Max

The food is ok but the employees who serve the food are not very clean. I have seen them pick at their clothing and person and then while not wearing gloves, serve your food in a way that their dirty fingers touch the actual food in your plate. That’s disgusting. And I have called them out in when it happened to me – which earned me a nasty look and serious attitude. Someone from the health dept. may eventually shut them down.

For an Asian, this is as good as real Chinese food gets with a bit of Southeast Asian Chinese twist to it as compared to any other Chinese takeaway there is in Houston! Yes it may be too greasy for some but if you want authentic, this is quite close. You can’t beat the price too. General Tsao and Teriyaki Chicken is my fav!

The food is good and what is great is that give lots and lots of it. A 3-​entrée meal is usually so huge that it is more than 2 of us can handle! Moderately priced, I would say this is a good cheap dining option at Galleria, better than those fried chicken places.

Okay China Max u win. Your food is better and actually have Asian people working there. Lol idk maybe don’t shout so loud but I do understand that it is competition with ichiban. Ichiban has a catchy name but Jesus China max is far better. The food the spiciness. The food is clean and not black. I felt I was actually eating food. I’m giving this place 5 stars because of the hard workers who work day in and out just to make one happy. Why they yell try this! Try this and I actually do. I feel a sense of accomplishment and feel like I’m helping them out in a way. I want to come there often even though it’s pricy but u do get what u pay for. They may be pushy at first but trust me once u get the food and taste it it’s great man. China Max for the win!

There is another Asian restaurant next to this one in that everyone seemed to be in line for. I didn’t feel like waiting so I went to China Max, which had no line. I now know why no one got their food there. They try to serve you huge portions! I had the ask the woman to take off about half of what she put on my plate.
I had the noodles, fried asparagus, and a vegetarian egg roll. It didn’t taste badly, it was decent. But about an hour or two later I became very sick. This restaurant must use an obscene amount of MSG or something because I became violently sick. DO NOT COME HERE.

In the corner of the west oaks mall with the friendly samplers and cook with ready to share that awesome meat!

Food is decent. The service is always friendly. Bring an appetite because the portions are big.

Not pleased. Asian lady yelling free samples. Couldn’t decide, but immediately told her I wanted to look first. It garnered me a rude pouty look. Then I decided to order a 1-​entrée meal. I got the chicken and steamed white rice. I was asked for what side I wanted. I said green beans. When I get to the check out I was over charged for the 2-​entrée meal as per my receipt. When I asked why he told me I had two entrees. I said that green beans are a side dish, not an entrée. But not to this group. So I left it alone, but I won’t be back. The chicken was good, the rice was bland & boring, and the green beans should have been avoided (nothing special). Plus the service is terrible. It felt like I was being pushed through the line. Like I said, I won’t be back.

Once in awhile when you’re at the mall, you feel like eating bad mall chinese food, right? Well, fine if you must, but stay away from this one! Shortly after eating here, my stomach was sour, and I had to «dispose» of the food. :/

A little Asian lady shouting «free samples!» is to be expected from a place like this. What I didn’t expect was for the non-​Asian employees to be laughing and mocking her accent while handing out the samples. 1 star for the tasty chicken that was already in my mouth. I really hope I misunderstood them.
