I have been here 3 times for lunch, and twice for Social Hour. All 5 times was amazing! The Service is outstanding and the food taste delicious.(yes it is a bit on the pricey side, but I honestly feel like it is well worth the quality ingredients and experience received) Items I defiantly recommend(MUSTTRY): Friday — Seafood Gumbo, Pork Cubano Sandwich, Amazon Burger, Milanesa De Pollo, Empanada(all flavors), Ahi Tuna Ceviche, Taquitos de Malanga, Albondiga. Items that I had but did not care for: Copacabana*(Tilapia) Ceviche, Fish tacos *(very strong fishy taste), black bean soup(bland). I had the steaks which are crazy delicious but the side items & price is not up to par with portion and flavor. Best tasting on the rocks Margarita I’ve had in Houston.

Chimichurris much better. Quite expensive for The Churrasco and not the greatest. We were sitted immediately and with good customer service. The wine Malbec was quite good.

The ambience and service was wonderful, sadly the food was not. My husband had the stuffed shrimp brochette, bacon around it was burnt on multiple pieces. I had the steak with black bean sauce, Pico, and avocados, really wish I would’ve got something different. Black bean sauce is just unseasoned refried black beans, steak had NO flavor. Entire side plate was cold. The reviews made this place seem perfect for our early anniversary dinner, wish we would’ve gone somewhere else.

The dinner was a bust, and to be fair it was not all the fault of Churascos. There was a loud obnoxious drunk party next to us that totally ruined the evening. Other patrons were irritated as well. I’m surprised the restaurant continued to serve them. The wait staff was adequate but nothing exceptional. The few times we asked our waiter for additional items we had to ask a second person a second time to get service. The food was ok… nothing exceptional. I plan to visit the Churrascos in Memorial City to see if it is a better-run location.

My food was delicious! I order the chicken the was fried in plantain chips, and it tasted like a fried chicken. The sides were good also, I liked how we shared them with the whole group. the empanadas were huge! They came with 4 empanadas cut into halves and 2 dipping sauces. My waitress was really nice and did the fire tres leches for my family. The plantain chips(that you get for free) were good.

Food is great, but go to another location. I was there for dinner, walked out at 8pm(still light outside) to find my truck had been broken in to. Nothing in plain site, broke in and rummaged through my truck and found my laptop bag underneath the back seat. Of course this can happen anywhere, but once I started talking to people about it, it seemed that everyone had a story about a break in. There are no cameras in the parking lot, which you’d think a nice restaurant would add that feature in case they can get a description of the people, vehicle, license plate, etc. I had a friend tell me about a time she was there and the person she was eating with parked directly in front of the entrance. He saw a person hanging out of his window, pulling items from his truck and putting them in to their car that was running next to them. Her friend ran saw this but they were able to quickly jump in their car and drive off. I don’t understand how a restaurant of Churrascos stature, could not do a better job of theft deterrent. Cameras can be easily and affordably installed in each light pole. The manager said, «we have cameras but not in that part of the parking lot.» I was no more than 30 yards from the front door in their main parking lot. There should also be better visibility by their staff(hostess). This is a common occurrence and to take no action means to me that they don’t care about their customers. I love the food, but will eat at other locations. I will never return to this location. It’s hard to pay $ 75/person for dinner and drinks and have no assurance they will take precautions to make sure their parking lot is safe for their diners.

Have been here for dinner and it seems the food quality is going down. Do not waste $ 29 per person on the Sunday Brunch Buffet

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. I’ve been going to Churrascos for 20 years, & it’s still one of the best. I was ecstatic when they decided to open one here, as we were driving to the river oaks location often. The service is always phenomenal, and the food is amazing, can’t get enough plantain chips. They also have a fabulous happy hour, and an amazing brunch. Will definitely be back.

Delicious meal on the patio. The service was GREAT, so were the food and drinks! YUMMY! Can’t believe it took us so long to try this place.

This is my second time having lunch here on a Friday and I must say I stopped in specifically for the seafood gumbo(it’s complimentary). The plantain chips are addictive. This time around I had the pollo al ajillo and although I wasn’t a huge fan of the lemon butter, the chicken and veggies were really great! This is a fine dining establishment with casual dining prices for lunch. Didn’t really go through the drink menu but they have a full bar to make just about anything your heart desires. I can see myself here again on a Friday.

This was recommended and I was excited to get to finally eat here … Well I can only say that I was disappointed. The food was very disappointing. But not as disappointed as I was once I walked out to find that our truck had been broken into. And the imagine my suprise when the server and manager and everyone working seemed to react as if this is a very common occur acne. My take away– go to peli peli in Vintage you will enjoy your food and will still have a truck with glass and your computer and pistol will still remain in your possession. This restaurant needs security. We were told sorry but unfortunately this happens all the time. Get a security guard– you’re charging enough that you should be able to budget an off duty security. Sorry won’t be back. Too risky.

My visit was Churrascos was thoroughly enjoyable. My party stopped by early on a Friday night and it was bustling but not overly busy. We were seated immediately and didn’t have to wait long to be checked on. Instead of the traditional chips and salsa, we were served Plantain chips. The manager on duty even stopped by out table to welcome us and make sure that everything was going ok. If you stop by, try the Pisco Sour, it is a Brazilian cocktail that is exclusive to Churrascos. As an appetizer, we tried the Albondigas, which are beef & pork meatballs served atop crisp yuca cups accented with spicy black bean and cheese fondue. Great presentation and equally great taste. For the main course I figured, while in Rome… and went with The Churrasco. One of the best steaks I’ve had in a while so don’t be turned off by the price tag. The variety on their dessert menu was not to be outdone by their regular menu. What I appreciated was that there were a mini version of the desserts so I didn’t walk away feeling like such a glutton. I tried the coconut ice cream and the one scoop in the mini serving was just the perfect size. Definitely a place worth returning to.

I will first state my bias that I really prefer to support local businesses not chains, but I have been several times to Churrascos for lunch. It is beautiful inside… very nice restaurant. It makes you think your meal is going to be expensive, but they have a lot of reasonably priced dishes for lunch. The first time I went there I did the build your own salad. They give you card of ingredients to chose from and you chose 8 things to put in your salad. It was a great salad and inexpensive. The next time I went I had the pollo anjillo(probably spelled wrong) and ti had great flavor, but the third time I got the pollo jalapeño crema and it lacked any distinct flavor and was very tough chicken to cut. They provide plaintain chips for an appetizer. I can’t speak to how it would be as a dinner spot, but I think you were have a nice evening there. I will go back.

Hosted an impromptu family dinner here for 10 people. What could go wrong? I’ll tell you. Nothing went wrong everything went right. We even had a few kids with us! Made the reservation and our party was a little late. Not to worry we were seated at the long table in front of the bar. Orders were taken and the food was delicious. Our waiter never tired of asking us what we wanted or of anticipating our needs. Food was good, waitstaff attentive. Will return.

Love coming here for happy hour and Sunday brunch selection is fantastic! The happy hour menu has recently been changed and I must say that the newly added items are just as wonderfully tasty. They have added a few more wines as well. The bar area décor is inviting, warm, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive. They also have a decent wine list that offers a nice variety by the glass as well. Sunday brunch is hands down spot on. The few times that we have been the food has been fresh, hot, and tasty. The cold items are also nicely done. Don’t forget about the pastries. A little something for everyone.

Ordered take-out from the bar. Service was very friendly and helped me choose what to order. A bit pricier than I usually do – but I wanted to mix it up. Carnitas were delicious! Flavor was spot-on and they were melt in your mouth tender. Lunch portion was perfect. The potato/leek soup was also very good. The crab avocado salad was interesting – prepared in peeled, hollowed out tomatoes. I also asked for plantain chips with dipping sauces based on other Unilocal reviews. Everything was very good. The server forgot to give us utensils… so be sure to ask if you’re getting take-out. But overall, I’d recommend this place.

First visit at this location, and with admittedly-high expectations, I was slightly disappointed. Service was excellent. Our crab fingers appetizer was perfect, but the beef empanadas seemed just a little greasier than usual(though the pastry was up to usual standards). My steak churrasco was, for the first time in many visits to various Churrascos locations, just a little bit… meh. Very good, but I’m tempted to explore other portions of the menu at this point. My companions gave high marks to their various entrees. I’ll revisit this rating on my inevitable next visit.

I had no idea that lunch today would be such a fine dining experience! Our server treated us with great care and gave us superb service. He was extremely knowledgable about the menu and was very professional. We received free empanadas because it was our first visit, as well as an on-the-house appetizer sampler AND tres leches dessert! It was all so delicious! I enjoyed everything I ate, and all 8 of the people with me loved their food as well. Very flavorful and plated with great care. The manager came over to ensure we were enjoying ourselves about halfway through lunch which was a nice touch! I highly recommend this place for the great lunch deals! 10.95 lunch special which includes and soup or salad to start. They also have a lunch trio that includes the soup or salad, lunch dish and dessert or cappuccino option!

Far too expensive for the price. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and there is a spacious bar area. The happy hour menu has great drinks for cheap! But that’s where the positive aspects end. The menu has a nice mix of items for every preference but overall, it is a bit overpriced. I ordered an 8 oz filet(not the churrasco) with the mushroom sauce and while the sauce and accompaniments were very tasty, the steak was tough and chewy. It didn’t taste like a top quality steak. I’ve had much better(and cheaper) steaks at lower end steakhouses like Outback. The side plate with the plantains, yucca, rice, etc. was a nice touch but one plate with three small pieces of each dish was chintzy for a group of 5 adults. Service was so-so. Our waiter was polite but seemed more interested in the basketball game on TV in the bar. It wasn’t the level of service I’d expect in a restaurant of this price range, to say the least. Overall, it was definitely an underwhelming experience. It wasn’t downright bad, but I would rather spend my money at a restaurant where I know I could get a good steak.

Very underwhelming experience. This will have a lot to do with the actual cost vs quality of food here to preface it for you. I used to frequent bone fish that was there before. Nice size restaurant, plenty of seating and good lighting. They didn’t change too much with the layout and it still works well. The menu: EXPENSIVE. for a Latin grill to only offer a filet of beef is baffling to me. I fee it’s the most overrated cut of steak out there but hey let’s move on. They do have an decent menu. Lots of seafood and starters to help the pickiest eater. But again. Price. There is no way for how little calamari I received for it to cost 12 bucks. Was maybe 3 dollars of calamari on it. Disappointing. They have this«churrasco» steak that is «one of the best steaks» per esquire magazine. All I can think is esquire palates are broke. The steak is lacking in seasoning, majorly. The side veggie was 4 pieces of 3″ long carrot and 2 pieces of zucchini stacked. The filet was 8 oz and while tender just the whole plate was underwhelming. They bring out pickled onions, rice, and fried cheese with every meal. The rice had to have been microwaved because it was dry as a bone. The fried cheese was good, but the star of the whole meal were the pickled onions. That’s sad when you buy a 40 steak and the takeaway was the onions were good. the other steak with jalapeños or something and it was also a filet. Was TOUGH. Like break out a machete and hack away till something falls off. For dessert we got a tres leches. Just trust me, chuys on 290 has a better one. Cheaper and much better tasting. Overall a two. Value vs food was way too bad to ever think about going back here. The ticket was well over 100 $ and I feel cheated and want my money back. You will feel similar if you decide to eat here.
