This is one of my fav spots in the Galleria for lunch, although I hear that their breakfast is as equally good. I really enjoy the Chop House burger with bacon.yummy. It comes with Thousand Island dressing instead of mayo or mustard. And the fries are nice and seasoned. But I fell in love with the jumbo lump crab cake, you can’t get any fresher that theirs. It’s seasoned perfectly and full of crab(not like some that are over breaded). The atmosphere is cool and the service is pretty good. The only negative thing is that it’s kind of slow during lunch time. I recommend an early lunch.

No, I would not eat there again. Food is expensive for so-so quality and loud environment. Salmon dish was adequate; would not order again. Parmesan Herb Chicken was bland; would not order again, Burger was requested medium-well, received rare and with no additional toppings as requested. Baked potato was good, but they surprise-charge you $ 2 for bacon on top and $ 1 for grated cheese. Rip-off. Food delivery for the three main dishes was about 45-minutes…restaurant was not busy. However, this restaurant is really the Westin Hotel’s restaurant, so there may have been other influences for slow delivery and inattentive wait-staff.

This is a good place if you’re craving for something that isn’t expensive, filling and classy when shopping at the Galleria. Most restaurants here are either high quality pricey or food court cheap, so this is a nice place to try if you don’t want to eat cheap food or overpriced ones. Appetizer wise, we got the crab cake, and as much as enjoyed the flavor of the dish, the portion size for it is tiny and I personally don’t think its worth $ 14.95. What is worth your buck and is super delicious though, is the chicken pot pie!!! It’s one of the best I have ever tried! The ones we ordered were the mini chicken pot pie combos, which comes with a salad, and even that it is a huge portion!(our waiter was awesome enough to let one of my friend sub her salad for a soup for no extra cost, and they also helped split the meal portion size too, since they were sharing the dish. Really attentive server, A plus). Their pasta dish and wraps are pretty good too though, but they didn’t stand out like the chicken pie. The desserts were a good finish too.(The brownie fudge sundae was warm and not super sweet, so it was really enjoyable). Overall, I’ll definitely come here again with other people! Really good food, plus excellent and polite service makes this place a must try!(Also, I believe if you sign up as a preferred customer, valet can potentially be include in the meal experience. Definitely worth a try for those whom would like to try this restaurant out).

My wife and I just walked right in and grabbed seats at the bar. We waited for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from the bartender. He was initially serving drinks to other people sitting at bar before us, but then there were no new guests and only the two of us left to be served. We thought this was our chance to get a drink, but he next started slicing oranges and still never acknowledged us. Will not be going back.

Great service. Very accommodating. I recommend the lemon drop martini. Only had drinks there, but they were willing to give us a table because we have a party of six. Very service oriented. A wonderful mall break for non shoppers.

The service here is great. It almost reminds you of an upscale diner. Food was fresh and hot. We order mostly appetizers as we didn’t want anything too heavy on our tummy ‘s while we continued to shop after. The only downside was the fire alarm continuously went off, though the manager comforted us by telling us it would go off shortly– which didn’t happen before we left 20 min later.

Went for happy hour and everything was delicious. Several of us girls split quesadillas, sirachi fries, artichoke dip, burger sliders, spicy shrimp and naked wings. All were good. Service was excellent. I thought it was odd all their draft beers were not working but it didn’t affect our experience. It’s located on third floor and part of the Westin hotel.

The Daily Grill is okay not bad but not great. The food is average but you can get in and out in a decent time with a decent quality meal. I typically have a burger or the turkey sandwich salad combo. Both are good but light on the fires with the burger and most times served cold.

This place has pretty good food. It’s located within a very random spot in the Galleria, which seems odd. However, if you aren’t by the food court and don’t feel like eating at Ninfas(relatively in the same area as this place) then this is really your only food option. It’s an upscale grill with a pricey menu. I get their pot pie and nearly have a heart attack when I pay for it(over $ 15). On the other hand, the pot pie is beyond anything I’ve ever had before. It is huge, has a flaky crust, a creamy center, and practically the best thing your taste buds have ever tasted. I know I’ve tried other menu items over the past few years that were pretty good too, but I can’t remember what they were. Something else interesting about this restaurant is that it is part of the Westin Galleria. Many of the customers are not from Houston, which makes conversations interesting.

I had the grilled pork chops special and the spicy margarita. The pork chops was well cooked and really flavorful. The spicy margarita had a unique taste. I wasn’t crazy about it but it wasn’t horrible or anything. They also have a preferred guest card you can fill out for birthdays which I think was nice.

Initial Service was slow, but it was lunch time and they were very busy. Our drinks were kept topped off during our meal. Why 3 stars? 1. Sourdough bread was slightly charred and crust was hard and tough to chew. 2. Got the shrimp pomodoro. Very tasty and low calories. Small portion with a hefty price. Almost $ 19. The cook charred 2 of the shrimp. Edible but expect better for these prices. Food wasn’t bad but expected more.

Circa 2010 was my peak time of going to the Daily Grill. Then slowly it turned into a «oh my friends are coming from out of town» event. Somewhere between going there all the time to sometime once every few months, now it has become a when I am at the Galleria and I am starved/don’t want to go to the food court — go to place. The food is always good. The clam chowder is amazing. The service is hit or miss. My review is going to focus on my latest experience as it is the most recent. The service was amazing … initially. When I got there a very finely dressed gentleman who I am assuming was the host greeted me. He asked if I wanted to sit in the dining area or if I was ok with the bar area. Of course, I was meeting a friend so I asked for the dining area. He asked me my friend’s name so he could guide her to my booth. I ordered the clam chowder and upon the server’s recommendation I got the seafood special. We decided to order a glass of pinot which was very smooth and not too overpowering. First for a pinot that I had but I digress. When we were done with the soup, the runner brought the food out but totally failed to move the empty dishes from front of us. And just stood there waiting for us to move them while he was standing their holding my food after he had placed the tray down. I was so shocked, I just pushed my empty dishes to the side and decided right there and then that I will never be returning back. Because let’s be honest … if I want to pay that much for a glass of red and a «seafood medley» meal there are plenty of other fine dining options in the Houston area and I don’t feel like being stuck in a tourist trap attraction. Side note: The actual server was very attentive but he seemed to be rushing to all the tables in the restaurant.

I really had high hopes from the reviews but I got the Gazpacho soup and it tasted like water no flavor what so ever and the lemonade was not homemade it was too sweet and my boyfriend ordered the parmesan herb crusted chicken which was salty. I recommend The cheesecake factory. They have a large variety of dishes to choose from.

I write and rate this review with mixed feelings of eating in a resturant within a mall(regardless of this being Galleria) but must say the overall experience exceeded expectations. Food = the starters(spinach dip/calamari) was okay but I was most impressed with the braised short rib entrée I ordered. The portion size, flavor and tenderness of meat met my approval. Atmosphere= only gripe found the resturant to be too dark. Noted a few tables using cell phone as flashlights in order to read menu. All in all a decent resturant. The location within a mall prevents me from going any higher than 3 stars.

It’s okay. Nothing to write home about. In general the food was a little more rich/oily than I would like, but that’s all preference. The healthy quinoa salad was dressed with more oil that I would like, and made us question if the 600 calorie appetizers were actually 600 calories.

This location is located on the 2nd floor a decent walking distance from Saks Fifth Avenue and the Apple Store on the left by the escalators. I came to meet a friend and was disappointed in the service received. I arrived after my friend, so I understood things happen with waiters where people are moving around tinting to other people however no one came back to the table to ask me what I wanted to order. So I literally had to wave down the employee just to take my order. I practically had three different servers to help me with my food. I never knew who exactly was up with me because nothing was consistent as far as the server. It seemed as if our original server was caught up socializing and talking to other guests so another nice gentleman came up to help wait on us in a refill or drinks. He kept asking if we needed more refills and if everything was okay what’s really helps the experience make it better. Nonetheless, that experience was very confusing. I had the tuna roll with fried spinach and a very well seasoned cucumber. I didn’t care too much for those fried spinach due to the texture however that cucumber seasoning I need the recipe too! The only reason why I will come here again is for the convenience and if other people grab me to come.

Came here for lunch, the servers were attentive and quick. The food however was not worth the price. I had a grill shrimp pomodoro. The sauce was pretty sour. I get that it’s tomato based but it should be less sour than it was. I rather spend that kind of money somewhere else. $ 17 for a small plate of pasta. Eh.

Let me preface this by saying we ended up here on the fly because my «genius» friend decided to host a birthday dinner for 20+ people at another restaurant on a Friday night that doesn’t take reservations for parties that big. The wait would be 2 hours+ minimum smh at her… not the smartest move, that’s for sure! However, the Daily Grill came to rescue. Someone called and they said they could sit us all right away. We had two waiters and other people assisting with drinks. The waiter I dealt with was on it. The manager seemed rather phony friendly but better than nothing. A couple of the people at the table were of the, shall we say ‘hood persuasion,’ but the restaurant was professional beginning to end. I ended up ordering the broiled shrimp pomodoro and let me tell you, baby… idk if I was extra hungry or what but damn it was good! 5 jumbo shrimp and served over angel hair pasta $ 20. I’m craving it now! I also got a glimpse of the crab cakes and they were chock full of crab… I didn’t taste it but definitely didn’t look like much filler was involved. Another person ordered the steak, looked waaaaay too overcooked for me but maybe she ordered it that way. I don’t pay $ 35 for a steak unless I’m at a steak house! The food would be on the tad overpriced side if the restaurant was not in The Galleria but considering it’s location, I think the price is typical. The meal was filling… they accommodated the large party and even managed(after all, since the hood persuasion made some comments to them about it) to separate the checks. Easy breezy, I’d return.
