The food is good. The service here is great. The drink policy is shite! I brought back my «Big Yellow Cup» from a previous meal thinking the drink would be discounted this time. Nope! $ 2.25 for a drink. That’s a lot for unsweetened tea considering I made the effort to keep, wash & return with the cup. Saving the company overhead & serving to promote their business to make this my carry-everywhere cup. For charging me $ 2.25 Dick owes me another cup! Not that I’d bring it back for refills again. I might get take out from here but the dog bath gets your cup & I’ll make my own tea!

1st time here and might be last time! Ordered 2 chopped beef potatoes for about $ 18 and all I have to say is where’s the beef? As a matter of fact not much of anything in them except potato. I can understand potatoes only cost maybe .40 a piece so no wonder why that’s all I tasted. I believe the only reason why this place might still be open because of no other Bbq spot near for miles. I understand beef does cost money but throw some extra sour cream, butter, chives and bacon at least. Try and make the customer feel like they are eating something besides a dry a– potato. The 2 starts are for the friendly service I did get through the drive thru. If I don’t have time to drive the extra miles to eat somewhere else I might be back. I will definitely ask them to not be shy on the meat and to just be fair for what I’m about to pay if I do try it again!

I like this place it’s better then most BBQ prices decent, not off the charts but solid, service was good, friendly. Sides are spectacular esp the green beans and awesome smoked sausage. Ribs and brisket good, moist and not over smoked, but typical to texas BBQ the sauce makes up for flavor or lack thereof but stand alone, but that’s the east coast in me. Certainly will be back however.

This is only a week later and their potato salad is TOTALLY different. It’s orange colored mushed something today. When I took them to the counter saying there was a mistake they said, «No, that’s the way we make our potato salad.» The other sides were just okay. How can such a radical decline happen in one week?!? The brisket was still tender, but sliced a little thick. If I could give them 3 ½ stars I would. Photos are from our first visit.

Good food!!! Great staff!!! Beef brisket are the best with spicy BBQ sauce. Also should try their waffle iron fried and coleslaw.

Ordered the big bbq chopped brisket sandwich. I paid $ 7+ for the sandwich. Food taste really good but it’s way over priced. I was really hungry when I ordered and after eating the sandwich I’m still hungry. If they gonna charge the prices they do, they should give little bit more food. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because they have a drive thru and brisket tasted so good. Wish they charge a reasonable price for food.

Expensive. The«Big Barbecue Sandwich» was awful. Fat and gristle. We were very dissatisfied with our last visit. Usually we get fine product here but I almost returned the mess they served up a few days ago.

The BBQ sandwiches and fries are very good but quite pricey! If we get two sandwiches, two drinks and one fry it’s about $ 25.00. Typically the sandwiches are pretty cold so we end up microwaving them when we get home. When we first visited inside the restaurant the staff didn’t acknowledge us at all or give instruction on where the menu on the wall is or where to order, we just figured it out awkwardly and read a paper menu — when in the drive-thru there’s not must personality there either. We have been there about 4x’s now, we keep giving extra chances because their food does taste good.

Great BBQ chain with daily week specials. Sides are all delicious. I go every time when I crave bbq because they never fail me with their overload of meat!

The bbq ribs were fall off the bone tender. The baked potato casserole was also delicious. The pulled pork was juicy. I would go back. Fast delivery.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on Bay Area Blvd has great service. They are quick on getting your order to you. I usually order the two meat plate(Turkey & Sausage) with two sides and I can easily make that meal into two(lunch and dinner).

This is a franchise, but the current owner of the franchise and his employees are very friendly and nice, and the sandwiches, plates and specials we’ve ordered, particularly the pulled pork, have been copious and tasty. Daily specials are a good bargain. Their new cornbread bun sandwiches tend to disintegrate in your hands… won’t do that again. Wrote to their corporate offices about that. Problems are parking and the fact that the place is so tiny. However, it’s close, friendly and tasty, so we cope.

2.5 stars if I could. Mediocre barbecue, but the food hits the spot if you’re short on time and have a craving for some barbecue. The beef brisket was dry, but it wasn’t half bad slathered in their barbecue sauce. The potato salad was yummy– the free soft serve is always a nice treat.

Dickey’s is not outstanding BBQ but it is fine for the drive thru quick version, which is sometimes needed. Love that you can drive thru! Makes a busy life more enjoyable. That said, sadly the meats are sub-par, which is the focus of a BBQ joint, right? Well, sort of. Sides are big too and there, Dickey’s does well. The ham is dry as a bone, yikes! The sausage is okay, the brisket is also just okay. I have yet to try a meat I love and so will probably stick to just sides from here on out. The sides are standard and dependable. Decent Mac, potatoes, good green beans. But the one thing Dickey’s is awesome at? FRIEDOKRA! Yes. They perfectly season it and it comes out piping hot. So good. A must order! The sweet tea is also delicious! Prices are kinda high which is normal for a BBQ joint around here. A meat plate with 3 sides and nothing else was $ 12.50. Since the meat stinks, save your money for sides and tea.

Good BBQ, tho probably the worst value-for-money BBQ in the clear lake area as these people are quite stingy with their portions. There are 3 different sauces, which is cool. Tho I didn’t care for the employees storing their personal drink cups behind the soda machine.

Dickey’s is a legit, fast bbq joint in a location lacking bbq joints. I work at NASA and this really is the only quick bbq option for lunch in the area within a 1 mile radius from work. They have great daily specials. i like the pulled pork the best, and their sausage is a close second. LOVE their fried okra. best in houston. hands down. the free ice cream is meh. i was able to deal with the parking. it didn’t really phase me. give it a whirl! like i said – it’s legit, quick bbq.

I popped into this place for a lunch thinking the chain elements would carry the quality. I got sliced beef, potato salad, and beans, and only finished the beef but under duress. The beef was very fatty and unflavorful. The potato salad was plentiful but didn’t taste good. The beans were okay. The inside is so small, there is no table not close to other tables or the kitchen. There was even some creditor that popped in to ask for the manager, which the staff said had recently sold the place, not sure this is going to work out. There are just way too many good BBQ places to mess with this one.

First off I was slightly unfamiliar with this BBQ chain, but I love me some BBQ so I thought I would give this place a try. The locale of this joint is sort of odd. It’s in a sliver of parcel that is shared with a jewelery store. It’s where the old James Coney Island was in front of the bowling alleys. anyways, there is almost no parking to be had and the drive thru looks to be an afterthought. I had tried it out on Nov. 15th for lunch since I saw a newspaper article about it opening and I was in the area. the prices are on par for a BBQ chain, but hold that thought. I had ordered a BBQ baked potato for 6 bucks. If you want a plain baked potato that was 4 bucks. I should of been charged the 4 dollar price, because there was absolutely NO meat on the potato save for a few pieces that looked like bacon bits. When you order a chopped BBQ potato, you expect to to be overflowing with goodness. Coupled with the almost no meat, there was no accouterments i.e. butter, sour cream, BBQ sauce. Easily the worst baked potato I have ever had. Fast Forward to their grand opening on that following Friday. I figured they would have 1 more shot to impress me. I had ordered a pulled pork sandwich with their waffle iron fries after waiting in line for over 15 minutes. I understand that it was going to get busy, but the management could have done a better job moving people through the line. Anyways, after receiving my order, I was given a chopped beef sandwich and okra! At this point, I didn’t even bother to go ask to fix my order, I just ate it. Blah! If your idea of BBQ is that stuff they sell in tubs at Sam’s Club slapped between a bun, then this place it for you! There are other places(Dave’s Smokehouse for starters) in the area that sells BBQ that the food quality is much greater and offer more bang for your buck. I understand this is more of a take and go type of establishment, but this locale is in a weird spot and is far to tiny to be considered other than a take and go.
