This place will be probably i will be coming again for sure Very clean, friendly, and the food is just amazing! I knew about this place before, but never tried out You will never have such a great food for that money anywhere else! Buffet only for 12 $ with a largest selection of meat and salads I would pay for such a good food even more without regrets

A bit pricey, but the buffet is excellent. The pita bread was good, the lamb meat was awesome! Would come again!

My first experience with Dimassi’s was in Dallas, TX, but this one in Houston is consistent with what I’ve had in the neighboring city. A solid 3.5, I’m going to go ahead and round up for their large variety of food, especially vegetarian options. For the price, Dimassi’s does well. It’s a buffet so there isn’t ambiance, but rather a great selection of foods that you can choose from. The buffet starts with an assortment of cucumber, lettuce, tabbouleh salads along with baba ghanoush, hummus, and saucey dipping goodness. I especially love their garlic sauce, jam-packed with flavor and a ticket to the land of bad breath. It’s totally worth it though. In terms of vegetables, there’s a large tray of grilled onions, bell peppers, squash, and zucchini that have good charred flavor. The cauliflower and potato chunks are also delicious and flavorful, rather than sad and bland. I could honestly eat a vegetarian meal here; the lentil soup could be hotter but I appreciate how it’s light and not hypersaturated with sodium. Fan of their falafel as well — crunchy on the outside but very fluffy and hot on the inside. After getting through the veggie section, you get to the meats. They got chicken; they got lamb; they got gyro meat. They got pretty much everything, and in every form — from grilled chicken to lamb meatballs to chicken with onions in sauce. Then there are multiple types of breads that come out fresh from the oven. Give me pita; give me garlic sauce; I can make that my meal. Drinks at the end of the line include rose water(I like to dilute with water because it’s too sweet for me) and tamarind juice, peach tea and unsweetened iced tea, as well as hot coffee or tea bags + hot water, along with the regular soda options. There’s a dessert and fruit section that I can’t comment too much upon because I was too full to do sweets, but there are small bite-sized pastries like baklava as well as rice pudding to satisfy your sweet tooth after munching your fill from the main buffet line. In general, the food in the buffet line gets switched out very often so you always get a fresh line-up of choices to go back for. Service is super lax, with someone coming along to take your plates every once in a while. I believe Dimassi’s operates strongly on honor code because there might not even be someone at the counter when you walk in – just be trustworthy enough to pay when you leave! Overall, Dimassi’s is a good place to go for a casual lunch or dinner.

My boyfriend and I were doing a conference at the NR G Center across the street. We had a lunch break and it sounded like a buffet with Mediterranean food would be an excellent choice. Overall I am quite happy with the decision we made to go here. I had an absolutely wonderful lunch. The price was 13.99 per person. In my opinion that was a little pricey because of the fact that their desert section isn’t very big and their food section is pretty good size but not huge. I loved my meal there. However my boyfriend said being from Austin that he has had much higher quality Mediterranean food. This is possibly true as I do not eat Mediterranean. So if you’re looking for a nice quick lunch this is the place to go. Just be aware of the price and that they have a good selection but not huge.

This is located in a strip mall across from the NRG stadium and event center, so if you’re in the area this is great place to grab a quick bite. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that there were no fat white people eating here. I know that’s rude, but from this I make a quick first judgement that the food is going to be good. Secondly, I noticed the décor, it is mismatched and plain which could deter others, but I was hungry & in a hurry to eat before heading to the airport. I’ve also never been to a Mediterranean buffet restaurant before but I know how buffet’s work, so I went straight to buffet and starting loading up my plate with a scoop of everything! I was pleasantly surprised, I started eating a falafel and turned to my sister who also just took a bite of her’s and in unison we agreed it was delicious! I also loved the curry cauliflower, the hummus, the shredded beef, the gyro meat and the pita with cheese and sesame seeds, yum! Wow I just listed half the buffet! As buffets go, you get to eat a little of everything! Everything I ate was pretty yummy. When we got up to pay at the register, I didn’t see price listed any where, but it was about $ 40 for the 3 of us, which is around $ 13 per person which is pretty good for a buffet. If you are in the area I would totally recommend it.

This place is great. The food was on par with any Mediterranean plates I have had in the past. If I lived nearby I would come at least once a week. Thank you to the helpers that tell you to just go in grab a plate and find a seat. Otherwise it would have been confusing. The food was always being replenished and tasted so fresh and warm. The pita and breads are fresh and constantly being made so grab a basket get some pita and cheese bread to scoop up the rest of your food with. Some items may have been a bit dry but that is no fault of the restaurant just the natural effect of a buffet. The meal cost 12 bucks total and you help yourself to drinks. If you do not know what rose water is just give it a little taste instead of pouring an entire glass. Also do not expect them to pickup your dishes every time you go up. There is one guys that comes out a couple times an hour and only clears vacant tables. Which is fine by me. Highly recommended!

i have heard about this place enough that I wanted to try but didn’t get a chance till today. I took the time today a little after 1pm just to see how fresh and whether the food was up to par after lunch has opened since 11am. Plus, the place was rated on Zagat, which gave me enough incentive to come in and see how good it is. First of all, the place looks like a school cafeteria. Décor looks bland and outdated, with some wired bicycle wheel frames hanging from the wall, some painting, and a big glass window to look at the NRG stadium. Other than watching the cars go by, there is really not that much view or accent to the flavor of the restaurant. Second of all, the place is a buffet, with a line of food, probably 35 dishes, with 7 or 8 of them vegeterian with salads, meat and cheese pies, flat breads, with another 10~15 a good selection of kababs(chicken, falafel, beef and lamb). Given the price of food, $ 12 for lunch buffet style, it really isn’t bad for the price of the food. Salads are well seasoned and not overpowering with cheese taste, which I liked, however, pastries are kind of greasy, with oil still dripping onto my plate as I was eating it. The grilled vegetables and meat, by the time I got there, it was covered with sauce, very dark, which surprised me that fresher better looking ones came out after the lunch hour rush around 2pm as crowds died down. I wouldn’t serve any of the oil dropping food or the over browned and chargrilled vegetables at that point, if I was the manager, to tell the truth. Chicken, unfortunately, was the best tasting dish that tasted like chicken, nice succulent and juicy, the rest, well, it all tasted like a bunch of herbs smothered on the meat, especially the lamb. Rice, tasted nasty like over microwaved rice, which I wondered if it was frozen before. Finally, service was ok, with bus boys coming by every 15 minutes or so making rounds picking up the plates after the table leaves which I find it quite rude. Most of the buffets I have gone to cleans up as you get up and get your second helping of food. Sadly, the place had good vegetables and salads, I might considereing coming here again for the vegetarian part. I wouldn’t eat the pastries or meats here again if I had the choice.

My introduction to this chain was in the Dallas area where I fell in love. Seeing there was a Dimassi’s near us when we moved to Houston made me so happy. Sadly, this is an under-performing location compared to N. Texas. Many of the foods weren’t maintained at appropriate temperatures, the food wasn’t as tasty or fresh and the cashier didn’t as much as speak our total or appreciation for the business because he was on a personal cell phone call.

This is an excellent buffet for lunch or dinner, if you work or live in the area you should be eating here. Regularly. Every single thing that I’ve tried here with one exception has been great, that one exception is their Pita. I’m unsure if it’s just that I tend to come here when it’s less busy or what, but it’s usually hard and a bit stale, with that single negative stated, if I lived nearby I’d eat here weekly to satisfy my Gyro cravings if nothing else.

This is one of those places I drive past all the time but never think to stop in. My friend invited me here for dinner after work, and I was blown away by how awesome this place is. First off, plenty of parking in the huge shopping center. Walk in, grab a plate, and get to eating! Pay on your way out. Dinner buffet was around $ 11 if I remember correctly, which is a STEAL. A STEAL, PEOPLE! I think I tried only half of everything on the buffet line. There are a ton of Mediterranean/Arabic options! I think this place is vegetarian friendly and for the carnivores as well. And everything was delicious! Seriously. There was no bad food to be found as far as I could tell. My favorites, though, were the chicken kabobs, the gyro meat, the tabouli, and the other wonderful vegetable options available. Skip the soda(it’s bad for you anyway) and go straight for the rose water. It’s absolutely amazing. Drinks are included in the buffet price. The seating area was kept very clean, which I was deeply appreciative of. There is basically no interaction with anyone until you pay the person at the counter at the end of your dining experience. Why don’t I eat here every day? It’s a great value for a ton of options and as much delicious food as your stomach can handle. I’ll definitely be back and bring my friends.

I very much thank that elderly lady who ran her car into the restaurant mistaking her gas pedal for the brake. because if it wasn’t for that moment I don’t think this restaurant would ever change. There’s not much difference with renovation, but the food tastes so much better than before. The service is on perfection also. I’m glad that got rid of that young sluggish boy that knew nothing, but uhs, and huhs. Everything on the line was delicious. The lamb was tasty. All I needed was one bite and I was in food heaven. The rice all kinds was good, not dry or soggy. just yummy. I could actually taste the butter cooked throughout. The bread with spices and olive oil was on point. It was mouth-watering good. I need to learn how to make that. It’s kinda like how the Italians do it, but better! No dipping your bread in a pool of olive oil. The parsley salad, grilled vegetables, cabbage salad, and cucumber salad was all my favorites! Somebody was definitely cooking with TLC in that kitchen!!! The roast beef wasn’t too tender, but it was flavorful. No bugs, gnats, or flies. No leaking ceilings, no water spills on the floor. It was a dream as it felt like it. Even my man complimented everything he ate as that is rare of him. He just kept telling me how the food was delicious! I was definitely surprised to hear him say that. Oh, the rose water was pure in tasting. It tasted like I was drinking the rose petals. Oh, and the watermelon was as sweet as it should be. They definitely wasn’t letting the done food sit out too long before replacing them. Oh, I forgot the baked fish was oh my goodness! It was just like how my mum cooks her, but with less MSG or salt. It was a giant orgasm in my mouth! For $ 10.99 per person and an unlimited buffet line full of Mediterranean food you can’t beat that. I will be back! Oh and during lunch hours around 2pm it’s good to come, not as crowded.

Food was great, buffet style Resturant, so there’s not much to complain about service wise. Also. They have a few items off the buffet line that they offer by special request. I recommend the Lamb shank. Tender, and delicious. For the most part, for this being a buffet, the quality far surpassed my expectations. I would definitely return to this place, and recommend it to others to try for themselves.

Very clean and cheap. I always get the hummus, lamb and cauliflower. The rose water is amazing. One of the fewer buffets in the med center that u can get a healthier option of food for lunch if you wanna stuff yourself for 10 dollars. Downside the bus boy comes once in a blue moon so your plates could pile on if you have a big group

Love the buffet, but this place is baffling for new customers. You enter the restaurant, there’s no host or sign or anything to greet you. There are just customers milling about. Stood there confused for a minute when a customer had to fill me in. You seat yourself and you help yourself. At no point do you interact with the staff until you pay for your meal. But once passed all that, Dimassi’s Med Buffet is a great place to eat and I wish they had one in my part of the world. All of the Med favorites on the buffet, including gyro meat. At my old med buffet that closed down years ago, you had to chase down an employee to custom cook you some, so I was relieved not having to beg. Drinks are included in the buffet, and they had rosewater and some sort of tamarind drink in addition to the soda fountain favorites. Not a fan of either, but I think it’s a great idea anyways. Overall, good value for money, lots of choice. Definitely going back.

Ive passed this place many times and decided today was the day. Fairly standard Medeterranian fare, dining room is well kept and customers are mostly white-collar workers such as I. Friendly staff, and appealing presentation(inasmuch as any buffet can be).

I go to all the Dimassi. This one is owned by someone other than the guy who owns the others; it’s the better location. The food is always hot and it’s a pretty reasonable place to crash post-workout. It’s the best of the Dimassis. Pretty legit buffet, there are ‘p’s in the pita and ‘b’s in the bread budding.

THIS is the only location I go to!!! I love this Mediterranean/Arab Buffet and come here often. I refer to this as my «all you can eat falafel» spot because they seriously have the best falafels in town. I’m kind of a falafel snob and have been all over HTX trying out the goods… this buffet serves the BEST crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside I just can’t get enough! LITTLESECRET: you can ask for a whole lamb shank and they will bring it out to your table… uhmmm if you’re not doing this you are not doing it right… Meat is all Halal… ambiance is casual, service at this location is super friendly and the place is CLEAN… Love this place and come here often.

Note to self: Never eat ethnic food with people who don’t eat ethnic food. I’ve never had so many weird stares from a lunch group of 10 when I was explaining what was on my plate. As I halved my falafel, someone even winced like green slime was going to come oozing out. It did not, it was delicious. Everyone else loaded up on a simple salad, fried chicken and pasta, I was crafting gyro bites with chunks of gyro meat, pita bread and some grilled vegetables. Dimassi’s is a buffet. If you are going in expecting fine dining, you are going to be disappointed. What you can expect is a curve ball thrown into the buffet scene with a fresh and oppulent selection. I love the variations of food that took salad from a well loved Greek salad to the more adventurous(and my personal favorite) tabouli. The meat was a little hit or miss. While the gyro meat was perfect, the grilled chicken was a touch undercooked. The choices you have, though– carnivores rejoice because you just had fish, red, white meat, and the other white meat… in one sitting. This is something different, something unique and something that gives a little nudge to all those friends of yours to drop the fried chicken and pick up the lamb shank.
