I’m not one to favor donuts much, with the exception of Krispy Kreme *cues my inner Homer Simpson drool*. I stopped in after work to pick some up for our weekly dish session with Mom and the girls to share over coffee since it was on my way home. It’s a small space but the young ladies working the counter were very nice. There’s a small dining area just to the left of the entrance complete with tables and chairs in case you want to read your paper while you enjoy a cup of joe and a donut. I asked for a dozen donuts and started rattling off my preferences. A dozen is $ 8.99 but beware of your choices as this if for the basic donuts. If you want eclairs, bear claws, or cronuts, you’ll have to step it up to pay the premium price($ 1.99 each). They were OK in taste but not melt in your mouth, pull your hair out, Krispy Kreme. The pumpkin spice donut was packed with spice and not enough pumpkin. The toasted coconut was toasted alright, but it wasn’t flavorful enough. I give them an A for effort and for service, but a B– in execution. It is a new location and maybe they’ll go through a metamorphosis to become the great jelly filled butterfly donut place, but in the meantime I might just have to continue going the Shipley’s route for my blue moon cravings.

Had a really bad day yesterday and thought that some Dunkin in the morning would start my day off on the right foot. I was wrong. We pull up and the line was long(as to be expected for a newly open breakfast place) we didn’t know what we wanted, so we asked to look at the menu for a second. Lindsay(the girl taking our order) seemed to be rushing us. We quickly decided on 2 sausage, egg, and cheese bagles, Lindsay informed us that they had no sausage. She suggested that we do bacon or steak, my husband said we would like to have one steak and one bacon. Lindsay could not figure out what we were saying and seemed to be getting confused with everything we said. She is the one that suggested steak or bacon but could not seem to remember that. We finally got our order, the coffee was mediocre, and the food quality was poor. Everything was bland and cheap tasting. My daughter enjoyed her pink frosted donut but for the size it didn’t look like it was worth $ 1 per donut. I’ve always loved Dunkin Donuts but I think I’ll stop elsewhere when I am looking for a nice quick breakfast on the go. For a newly opened place, they seem to have already forgotten their standards and have started acting as if they’re a low grade fast food place… Won’t name names but everyone knows what I mean. I will not be going back to this Dunkin Donuts.

Slow service, but that can be expected with a new place. It has gotten faster every week tho. Definitely worth the wait if you like dunkin donuts coffee!

This is only the second Dunkin’ Donuts I remember going to. Their popularity escapes me. Their donuts are no better than a dozen(that’s not a pun) other places in the area, and though their coffee is good enough it’s not as good as McDonalds and no better than Panera Bread or, or. .. I bought two donuts hoping I’d hit the previous one on a bad day. I ate one and pitched the other. They have much better donuts at Ashley’s about a half –mile east of here on Bay Area Blvd. It must be an example of the triumph of marketing.
