Total fan. Delicious donuts. Service is usually rushed but still ok. However they throw in free donut holes for every dozen donuts you purchase. Cool.

Worst shipleys I’ve ever been to. Everytime I go they’re out of everything but kolaches. Why be open until 5 if you’re going to run out and not replenish? And they have no coffee! I’m sticking to morning kolaches and ma and pop donut shops from now on

I die for Shipley’s Donuts! I only get them when I come home to Houston. I have eaten them since I was a small child and love them. They always bring a smile to my face when I smell them. The Glazed just melt in my mouth So yummy :-) You must try them at least once!

Shipley’s was a favorite in high school and the precursor to Krispy Kreme. Home for Thanksgiving I heard on the radio that they were opening up KK here and that it was better than Shipley’s. That is somewhat true but from what I remember Shipley’s keeps that light, airy texture all day long without needing to be reheated. Krispy Kreme is only at it’s best right out of the oven so I’ve got to give Shipley’s some credit for longevity.

This location is pretty friendly whether you go through the drive thru or order inside. The donuts are always fresh. My only complaint is I always have to ask for napkins, donuts are messy, napkins should automatically be given.

I loved their glazed donut holes, their coffee was meh and the kolaches were okay.

The best donuts in the world. When I come home to visit, my darling ma often buys a dozen on my last day so I can slink out of the house with a donut. Last time she did this, I packed 4 of my favorites(cherry glaze, strawberry glaze, white glaze, regular glaze) into a box and packed up my car. In the time it took me to load my car, my brother had come downstairs and ate my four faves. I was mad for weeks.

Hands down Shipley’s has the best donuts in the world. I dream about the glaze donuts frequently.

This review is for Shipley Donuts’ kolaches. I had one at Bush Intercontinental airport on the way home, and just posted it onto the Shipley’s in the Clear Lake /NASA area of Houston. There are apparently 77 Shipley’s in Houston, and they are a staple for the area, as are the kolaches. I had a sausage and cheese kolache this time, and it’s basically like a breakfast hot dog encased in bread. They are of Czech heritage and kind of a novelty when one is in Texas. I lived in Houston for 4 years and have had them in past, but I can’t say that I’ve run into them as a commonplace food item anywhere else in my travels, and it is a decent breakfast item. Shipley’s is also well known in Texas for their donuts but I didn’t have any this time. This kolache was $ 1.73 at the airport, but suspect it’s less at most other stores.

This Shipley’s is the location the Mission Control guys got their Do-Nuts from while the first man was landing on the moon. That’s pretty cool. The donuts are good too. The cake ones are the best but unfortunately, they don’t have old-fashion buttermilk ones.
