Every neighborhood needs a local hardware store. As a home owner this much is true and crucial as it is to know how to do basic home maintenance and improvement. May it be little projects or larger home improvement tasks East End Hardware casts the net wide on their inventory. TIP: Call ahead if you know what you need. The owner will have options ready for you when you get there. I had an issue with a drill bit that needed to drill through a metal stud for a metal frame in an awkward place. Called about different extensions and bits and he had it all ready to show me. That, to me, is amazing customer service. Owners are very knowledgeable about various kind of improvement. I came to him with a couple of different problems over the month or so I was made aware and he was able to help me assess which tool I needed. If he didn’t have the one tool I needed we looked at alternatives in the store before ordering. I will also say that their selection rivals that of other competitors with the caveat being they fall short on quantity. But, if they run out of stock early enough they will order the piece you need ASAP. I was a bit surprised when they carried sheet rock. That inventory is usually reserved for larger big box home improvement retailers.

Been here several times within the last couple months, much more convenient than my 10 minute drive to Home Depot. The owners are very friendly and willing to stock anything upon request. Pricing is competitive. Highly recommend East Enders stop in and check it out.

Great local business that I hope stays around for a long time. BF and I stopped by looking for a part to repair our oft-broken toilet, and we were able to pick it up right away thanks to East End Hardware. The folks who run this place are so nice and are looking to integrate themselves into the neighborhood in any way possible. They’re still getting their inventory set up, but if you’re needing to do that home project that you’ve never gotten around to, come in and pick their brains, because they’re more than willing to help you figure it out. They even make house calls! Drop by for more info. For those of you who live downtown or in the East End and gravitate towards Southland or even the dreaded Home Depot on 45 for your hardware needs, this is a legit family-owned business right in your neighborhood. Give East End Hardware some love!
