Edible Arrangements

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY THINKING YOU GIFT WILL BE DELIVERED! I expected a timely delivery of a fruit box for a special occasion. When they attempted delivery and no one was home, they didn’t even think of calling the sender to let me know. 7 days later and still no delivery I called customer service. I am still waiting for the store to respond.

Delivering smiles every day. I think not. Especially not on a day as important as Mother’s Day. Ordered a fruit bouquet three days before Mother’s Day and was told it would be delivered the next day on the 8^th. Thankfully my mom got her fruit bouquet today, which just so happens to be Mother’s Day. Unfortunately she was not smiling. More like suffocating from the rancid smell plunging off of the rotten fruit. My dad, who is a Thrillseeker decided to taste one of the cantaloupes, I say one of the cantaloupes because there was only three. Poor man has never been so wrong in his life thinking he could eat expired fruit and hold it down. The two strawberries that were dripping chocolate were also rotten and bruised. Seems as if when I placed my order, it was made, perhaps the same day, but then left outside in the scolding Houston Texas heat waiting for its delivery. Let’s just thank God here for a minute that I did make my mom something else for Mother’s Day so it wasn’t all bad news. The slogan for this company should be, «delivering resentment, guaranteed.»

Seriously never a good experience with edible arrangements. I ordered 7 min pickup. Took 10 mins to get there then waited an additional 10 mins because they didn’t have it together.
While I was there I was listening to the cashier calling people apologizing that she couldn’t get their arrangement in time by tonight. At least 10 phone calls. I have never had an edible arrangement success. Overpriced and not reliable. Maybe if you order a day a head but this is not for the last minute person.
Also forgot the balloon on my arrangement.

I ordered a large arrangement for my sister’s birthday. The fruit started to mold not even 4 days later. This store said they couldn’t do anything about it, they ironically couldn’t find the order number, and to call customer service. I called customer service and they said they couldn’t do anything since Edible Arrangements is a franchise. They also said that as long as the fruit is «fresh» for 24 hours after pickup, the order is okay. This company is essentially saying, if you want to enjoy your purchase, it’s best to eat it ALL the day you get it. On the 25^th hour, you’re on your own. I have a degree in Agriculture. There is no way fruit should start molding less than a week upon purchase, especially when refrigerated, unless it is not stored/​handled correctly, it’s bad produce, or it is NOT FRESH, which means IT’S FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! All of these things can lead to someone getting sick from toxins produced by the mold or if it’s from poor storage and handling, other bacteria. In other words, it can lead to a FOODBORNE DISEASE. Not grossed out yet? This includes microbes like Salmonella, yes the same stuff you associate with chicken and the peanut butter scandal. The customer service is horrible, and apparently the central office and individual stores do not hold each other accountable for their actions. I will not be ordering from Edible Arrangements again and advise others to do the same.
P. S. this is the second time I have had to post this review. Somehow it was deleted. But obviously, I am passionate about this and feel disrespected enough that I believe this review should exist. And no, I am not dealing with different management of this store compared to the other reviews previously made.

Very poor customer service and food quality. I received a very large fruit bouquet as a birthday gift. Although it was in the fridge the entire time after receiving it and it was never touched, the fruit started molding 2 days later. I was told by the store clerk that the manager Maria would not replace it with a fresh bouquet but I could have some pieces of dipped fruit. :-/​In addition, they would not forward me to the franchise owner Juan-​Carlos.

If you haven’t heard of Edible Arrangements, then you are missing out. Flowers are so 2008; fruit is the way to go now. Looking for a unique way to say:

Flowers die but fruit is yummy! Edible Arrangements takes different types of fruit and carves them into beautiful shapes. They are arranged into lovely displays. Some are even chocolate dipped. It’s such a great, different, and YUMMY way to brighten someone’s day! We recently sent a friend a bouquet from here after he had surgery. It was the perfect healthy treat for him while he healed. He LOVED it.
They aren’t cheap, but remember everything is carved, it isn’t ‘just’ a fruit basket. Check it out!

I love getting roses and flowers, but I also love to complain that they die too quickly and I only get to enjoy them for three days! When I received a little bouquet of pineapple, melon, grapes, strawberries shaped like flowers, I was static! I didn’t even want to share it with anyone! I was going to get to eat my «flowers» myself! No more complaining about not enjoying them long enough. To my surprise, one person CANNOT eat all that fruit alone! I ended up leaving a lot of it at work. That was at least two years ago. I have used them ever since to send my dad for father’s day or anyone who I know would enjoy it. I have never had any issues with delivery, not even when they had to deliver in NY.
Prices are reasonable, as you get a base with the arrangement. I would say that in comparison to what you get, it is a better value. I love the concept of fruit bouquets. I still like flowers and love to get me some roses from time to time, but I can eat fruit any day!
