Rude staff, messed up order, dirty tables, long wait, food was not fresh. I love Einstein’s bagels and have never had a bad experience in one, until today. I’m hopeful they were having a bad day, but the other reviews lead me to believe my experience was typical. The lady insisted that bacon, egg and cheese could only be served on a gourmet bagel. She said I could have the egg white and avocado on an everything bagel. I thought sure, I’m a go with the flow girl. I asked for it thin, didn’t happen. Everything about the bagel was cold. I’m pretty sure the avocado was rancid. The tomatoes were squishy. My husband ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on gourmet bagel, they ran out of gourmet bagels and ended up putting his on an everything bagel.(Sure sounds like what I asked the to do in the first place.) Everything about his bagel was also cold. He ate the whole bagel and ended up feeling rather ill for the next couple of hours. I gave up after about three bites and threw mine away. The whole experience was rather awful.

I enjoy Einsteins for it’s variety of bagels, more than you can get at Panera… But is it just me or does the staff seem disheveled and clueless? I love EBB coffee, but don’t know if it’s worth the wait…

Food was quite good, good flavor and portion size. Tasty and fresh. Also the price was good, 4 – 7 $ bagel sandwiches. The problem was we walked in at noon and they were already out of more then half of their bagels, for sure all the popular ones. Also the place was not busy and yet all of the tables were dirty, we had to clean our own table to sit down. It would be all right for early morning take out maybe but will not come back for lunch.

Will only stop here if I’m extremely craving bagels. Have been here about 4 times in past year. The employees don’t seem very interested in providing quick and pleasant service. The place is always dirty. There’s always crumbs and grease marks on floors, tables and vinyl seating. I’ve had to wet a napkin every time I ate in to wipe off area. Slow service probably because they’re under staffed. Be ready for a 15 min wait on any order. My biggest pet peeve above all is the general lack of cleanliness.

DONOTEATHERE!!! This place doesn’t even deserve one star! I went to this location for the first time this morning. I ordered a bacon, egg white, and avocado bagel sandwich. I get home and eat half of the sandwich when I find a red hair in the sandwich which matches the hair color of the lady that made my sandwich. How disgusting! She should’ve been wearing a hairnet! I will never go here again! Ugh!

Gave me MAJOR food poisoning at the start of Easter weekend. Its 12 am Friday morning and im still feeling sick. I had to cancel my going out of town plans because of this mess. Never going there again! Also it takes them 10 hours to make one bagel even if there is only one customer in line.

Great quality bagels! I love the caramel macchiato latte… Starbucks has nothing on that drink! I had no problems with customer service!

Update This visit gets ½ star… they received the other half of star… Since I can not award halves! Encountered a first while visiting this morning. Enter EB to find a long line of ppl waiting to place orders. To set the scene there were two employees working and several empty bagel bins. Long line+ short staff+empty bagel bins during prime time = poor service!!! Within 5 minutes in the store, taking all of this, a manager came out from the back kitchen, which I assume was making more bagels, and made an announcement: just letting you know you can leave now if you would like, but we had an employee not show up due to an emergency and we are filling a large order so you will be waiting a long time. Just letting you know so you can leave. WTH??? At that point after she made her announcement …60% of the line in the store left– including myself.

Very disappointed when Einstein’s bagels would not give me my senior citizen discount for the purchase of a half a dozen bagels which I purchase every week from the same location ever since they opened. They have a special on Mondays where it’s $ 6 for a dozen bagels and their machine won’t give the senior citizen discount for any less. These bagels are for one family member and he can only eat 6 in a week. Any more than that and the rest would have to be thrown in the trash. I’m so frustrated I am actually thinking about discontinuing trade with Einstein’s Bagels. Three brothers and New York bagels are just as good if not better.

Location: Eldridge and Sandbridge St. on a strip with Subway, a donut shop and nail spa. It has been around for a while and is my go-to for early morning meetings. If you visit between opening and 9AM you should expect a little wait as well as any time during lunch. I don’t visit any other time. They do accept call in orders so I would use that to your advantage if you don’t want to wait or don’t have time. Staff: Swift, knowledgeable, friendly, eager to please and have they lots of recommendations. I might not have ever discovered the honey almond smear if it wasn’t for them. I love that stuff. The layout of the restaurant allows the line to flow without standing on top of the people who dine in. Stay to the right to place your order, pay at the counter on the left then wait on the left. Pretty simple stuff. I have tried a few of their flavored coffees but they don’t hit like Starbucks or Beans. Price: Slightly more than you would pay at Dunkin Donuts but considering the lack of options in this area, it is fair. Their deal on boxes of bagels and coffee are reasonably priced. My favorites include: Breakfast turkey sausage & asparagus bagel Cinnamon bagel with honey almond cream cheese smear Blueberry bagel Lunch Pizza bagel Lunch Turkey bagel

This location is definitely starting to go downhill– hopefully their corporate office realizes this and bring it back to what it use to be. Customer service at this location is terrible– the manager on duty(Asian girl) has a personality of a stick, the guy making the bagel looks like he hasn’t showered in a week, bagels are getting smaller, while prices are going up… not good Einstein bagels– I might just start buying lenders bagels from krogers.

In the past I would have given this place 3 stars. Over the past few months thing have gone from bad to dismal. Service needs to given some serious attention. This morning at 6:45 there were 20 customers in the store. Yes, I counted. There were THREE employees working. However there was only one employee making food! One was running the register and the other was making drinks. For this place to be successful the staffing needs to at least double. As a company, Einstein’s needs to decide if they want to be Starbucks, GrubHub(because did you know they deliver?!), or a bagel shop!

I bought one of their bagel dogs yesterday for my son. It was hard as a rock, not sure how many days it had been there. Or they microwaved it so much to try to soften it. Their ham and cheese bagel was very bland. Dunkin Donuts sandwiches are way better.

Stopped here instead of the one on BW8 and i10 because that one had terrible reviews. They also have an attitude problem. They were out of the first 2 items I requested and made no apology about it. Sure miss my Clear Lake location !!!

This is the best location I have been to from this franchise. I love coming here because they have great service and they have a great selection of bagels on hand. I love coming here and I drive out of my way at times to this particular location!

Overall this establishment seemed a bit unprofessional. Workers didn’t greet you as you walked in, and while I was there, they seemed to just talk about their personal lives to each other. I’m all for having fun at work, just use your indoor voices or go to a back room or something. It’s ok, but you didn’t expect much better anyways.

Best place for a bagel. I tried their turkey sausage bagel w/egg and didn’t like the taste of the turkey sausage, worst turkey sausage I’ve ever tasted. Other than that I love their bagels.

One of my newest food obsessions since becoming a vegetarian has been bagels with cream cheese regardless of the fact that this is a big corporate chain, they have great bagels and a great selection of flavored to choose from. I’m all about the onion, cinnamon sugar and chocolate chip bagels. YUM!

Einstein Bagels is my #1 choice for bagels & always had fresh bagels. This location could have been more organized with staff, as I placed my order at the far right end of the store, then the order taker and I both walked parallel to the far left end of store over to the register so I could pay(there was only one person at the time for both orders and payment). The staff seemed to focus on creating food orders and forgot to notice the line forming. Also, I wished they had a bigger selection of cold drinks and fruit/yogurt parfaits, they were cleaned out of products when I arrived around 10am. Finally, on a more positive note, I was feeling brave and tried the lox bagel which was fresh and delicious.

I’ve had lunch here a couple of times sand all the times I’ve been here it’s never been busy at all. I can sit down and eat my lunch in peace and read a magazine or newspaper afterwards if I wanted to. It reminded me of a café within a bookstore. I’ve had their bagel melts twice(one on asiago and the other on chocolate chip bagel, the latter was yummy) and a panini melt. The serving size wasn’t overly huge, but filled me up just right. The bagels or panini bread never tasted old or stale. I also had a choice of chips or a banana as a size with my order. Each time my order was taken quickly and had my food within minutes. I also noticed that they bring your order to your table. Not sure if they do that when it’s busy, but I thought that was good customer service.
