Good, fresh with lots of choices and good bread. Would recommend for good Ban Mi at reasonable price.

This is the closest banh mi shop I have so go hear frequently when I don’t have enough time to go to roostars or Chinatown. But their grilled chicken banh mi with avocado as well as their shredded pork banh mi are decent. Their tofu banh mi is meh. Wasn’t feeling it. And their grilled beef and grilled pork were quite dry so a bit disappointing. Matcha green tea smoothie is great in flavor but the texture is a bit hit or miss. Specifically, the amount of ice they put and how well it’s blended. Overall, a decent place to grab a quick bite when you’re not in the mood for a burger in the area.

Haven’t been back here in months since I no longer work in this area so I decided to stop by. This place NEVER disappoints! Always fresh and delicious!

Driving By Eldridge Looking for a place to eat found This place, order the mango smoothie with a teriyaki sandwich, kitchen is in front of counter so you see in front of your eyes what is being prepared, fresh made drink so refreshing and good tasting sandwich with crispy bread. Very good choice, I like to go back and try the other combinations that have to offer. I recommend the place. As an air conditioning specialist I noticed the air little heavy from the smoke of bread toaster need to improve like most of the restaurants but it could be a personal preference to me as I don’t like to leave smelling like I was cooking there. Food was great and I think that is what matters

Will keep this short and sweet. I’ve been coming here for the last 6 months and am a huge fan of their smoothies, especially the green tea matcha(its the best I’ve had). Unfortunately, the subs are quite average, but the smoothies make this place worth the trip! Will be back!

I’ve been going to this place for over two years. The owners are really nice. I typically get a taro smoothie with bubbles. The tai tea is good as well. They have a frequent buyer card that allows you to get a free smoothie after so many punched. I also like the Vietnamese sub with grilled pork nd vegetables and jalepeno. Get that with the taro tea!

This place has a nice modern feel and is very café like. The venue is very clean and well set up allowing a small crowd to lounge around without feeling stuffed next to your neighbors. The service was good with friendly staff and quick turnaround for food. The food itself was lacking. The prices here are also a little higher than other stores at $ 21 for two Banh mi and two drinks. I will say the portions are a good size with the drink being what appears to be large by default. They did toast the bread fresh and it was soft. The green tea smoothie didn’t taste like green tea really and the Banh mi was very Americanized. For instance, the meatball Banh mi had a sweet tomato sauce with it where traditional meatball Banh mi would be soft and without sauce allowing you to get flavor from the pâté and veggies. Overall, not one of the strongest contenders for a boba shop.

Small little shops and food establishments intrigue me. This was no exception. Situated in one of Houston’s endless strip shopping centers, this ground-floor sandwich shop is just OK. There are a few tables for indoor seating, but it’s quite small inside. They have a few coffee drinks, but the sandwiches — banh mi type — seem to be the attraction. The latte was just mediocre. The sandwich choices were nothing out of the ordinary or unusual, nothing that left me thinking, «I’ve got to come back and try that.» It was lunch for that day. That’s it.

This is a great place to address your bahn mi fixation. The french bread is fresh and don’t shy away from the jalapeños.

I was exploring the area for lunch on a weekday during work, and I came across Saigon Subs. The reviews looked favorable and I was very excited to check out their bubble tea. When I arrived, I noticed it was a small place with a few tables. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bánh Mì sandwich($ 4.99) and added a fried egg($ 0.99) and an avocado($ 0.99) for an extra fee. I also observed their bubble tea menu and asked the employee some questions. For their smoothies, you can choose up to two fruits, but they will charge $ 0.50 extra for each additional fruit. They also use syrup for added flavor for a majority of their fruit smoothies, which I didn’t want, so I opted for the Jasmine Green Tea with tapioca and half sugar. The tea had a lingering tomato juice taste, which was absolutely bizarre for a Jasmine Green Tea. I’m not sure if that’s just how their tea tastes like, or if the containers were contaminated, but either way, the tea was freaking gross. The tapioca on the other hand was fine, it was not too hard or soft. Also, I do like that they give their customers a choice of a regular or a large size. Overall, I’d say the sandwich was pretty good, but the bubble tea was a huge disappointment. Come here for the sandwiches, but leave the bubble tea behind. I may need to try some other teas(or smoothies) on their menu for them to redeem themselves, but my first experience with my beloved boba drank was awful. What to order: –Grilled Chicken Bánh Mì sandwich($ 4.99) w/an added fried egg($ 0.99) and an avocado($ 0.99) Pros: –Value –Private parking lot –Buy 5 subs, get 1 free(must purchase all at the same time — good for work outings) –Service(nice, friendly employees) Cons: –Jasmine Green Tea tastes gross with a bizarre lingering tomato juice taste

If you love Bahn Mi or Thai Tea this is the place for you! The food here is high quality and authentic. I have had Thai Tea from many many places in the Houston area and I can honestly say that Saigon Subs makes THEBEST Thai Bubble Tea in Houston! The sandwiches are also second-to-none. The décor is modern and clean. The owners Kimly and Cathy will always welcome you with a kind smile and will be greeting you by name when you come into the restaurant.

I go here with my kids during the school season. The bubble tea is very good and the place is clean and sometimes full of students. I always get the vietnamese iced coffee and the quality has always been consistently good. Staff is very friendly and seems to remember me although I’m not a frequent customer. I have not had any food here yet so I will update my review after I have ordered from their menu.

Most expensive viet banh mi and milk tea i ever paid. I typically pay $ 2.50-$ 3.75 for a banh mi in chinatown and $ 3-$ 4 for decent tapioca. It’s $ 5 each here… and its mediocre. I live less then 5 mins from this place and thats convenient. but isnt worth it. I got the shredded chicken banh mi and it wasnt even warm. It was room temperature. They skimp out on the butter and pâté. but i will say they give you decent amount of meat. I’m viet and ive had lots of banh mi before… this place serve mediocre food and its overprice.

Tried for the first time and I must say it will not be my last time! My tuna salad sandwiche was pretty yummy except the raisins in it and my green tea macha smoothie was WAY better(and cheaper) then Starbucks green tea frapuccino. I can’t wait to try out the other smoothies!

This place is my bf and my go-to place for banh mi sandwiches since it takes us under 10 minutes to walk or drive to it. Every time we come in, we always see the same 2 very nice ladies who recognize us because my bf likes to order 3 fried eggs in his sandwich, as extras. Lol, it sounds excessive but they actually make it fit. I like to add an egg and an avocado on my sandwich. I would recommend trying the teriyaki chicken banh mi. It takes us a little longer for our order since they have to take the time to fry the eggs. The sandwiches never disappoint though. Appetizer-wise we’ve had the fried dumplings that come in 4 with a dipping sauce. The dumplings are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. I always get a little sad when I’m on the 4th dumpling cause I always want more! Drinks– wise, you have the option of choosing at least 2 fruits and veggies to for them to blend if you want a smoothie with tapioca. I’ve tried their milk tea, and didn’t particularly like it because it wasn’t as sweet as I would’ve liked. It tastes more like tea to me, than it tastes milky — if that makes any sense. I’ve also called them to pick up an order too, and they had it ready within the estimated time frame. They label their sandwiches so there is no confusion, so I think that’s nice little detail. Basically, this place is awesome!

What a great find! I wish I knew about it sooner — it’s not far from where I live. Unlike many of the other Vietnamese places in the area, the focus is on «Saigon Subs» — aka Banh Mi sandwiches. I tried the grilled chicken Banh Mi and added avocado with a hot green tea for a cold and damp January day. The Banh Mi was very good — almost a foot long and reasonably priced. Even if you dine it it comes in wax paper wrapping and they provide the required Sriracha(actually made in Los Angeles, folks) and Viet-style soy sauce. The ingredients are fresh and chicken was pretty tender. Of course the crusty french bread is the focus. The only thing missing was a bit more flavor or a mayo-type sauce but you can always add Sriracha to taste. The avocado went nicely with the sandwich. Next time I will have to try one of the special combo Banh Mi. This place is more of a hole in the wall but also conveniently located in the same strip mall as the excellent King’s Head Pub so you could grab a quick beer-soaker bite before happy hour. I look forward to my next visit to Saigon Subs.

First time checking this place out. Some of my coworkers have said good things about the food and drinks so of course I don’t see why not try it out. Went for a late lunch, place was empty which is a plus for me, I like the quick service. Sure enough service was fast and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I opted for the Tofu sandwich and Tofu springs rolls. Sandwich was good. Not great but still better then average. I asked for avocado and I barely found small traces of avocado. Ingredients were fresh which is nice. Springs rolls were also good not great. Therefore I will give them a 4. If I was in the area Id definitely be back for another try. I also want to check out the drinks next time as well, they look refreshing.
