El Peque Azteca

«El Peque Azteca» or «The little Aztec» as it transaltes to English, is not like all the other food trucks out there in more ways than one… It’s actually a trailer and not a truck. It’s situated in a back corner of a gas station’s parking lot and if you’re driving north-​bound on Highway six, between Bissonnet and Beechnut a little too fast, you’ll miss it; cause it’s kinda hidden.
This tiny kitchen on wheels serves up a plain selection of Tacos and Tortas in your choice of meats like Beef fajita, Pastor (marinated pork) or Chicken, even though they have a decent menu posted on the side of the trailer. And you may as well walk over to the gas station to pick up a drink after ordering, cause they don’t have any.
But don’t let its size or the simplicity of the menu fool you. Needless to say; the food is great and it’s run by the owner and his wife, so, expect to be treated gratefully.
The establishment’s only been around for a month (as of this writing) but I hope it does well and continues to grow and that the menu grows along with it. There’s only room for improvement from here and that is why I gave it three stars and not more.
