Enchiludas

First visit, just missed happy hour but margaritas prices average, strong and pretty tasty. So was my nachos. Service was good. I will go back again.

I took a client to lunch here and just had an average experience. I didnt really like the salsa or the beef fajitas that I ordered. They weren’t bad, just not premium quality or excellent flavor like some other places around town.
The restaurant was literally dead when we walked in, so I thought oh boy, what did I get myself into this time. It has been several years since I last dined here, when it was still La Tapatia taqueria.
The lunch menu contains numerous items but I couldn’t seem to find fajitas. I ordered them anyway, I’m guessing from the dinner portion of the menu for $ 14.95, and the waitress kept saying «ok sir, fajita enchiladas» and I kept saying «no, just regular beef fajitas…»
The restaurant itself has old décor from the various iterations of mexican restaurants that have been in this space, floors are worn, various paint schemes, the kids electronic toy machine in the back is non-​operational and the restrooms are also well worn and run down. The only glitz and glitter can be found in the bar area where they have installed lighting on the shelves.
The manager did come by and mention their happy hour from 3 – 7, consisting of various apps starting at 2.95.

I wish I could leave less than one star. Where do I begin? Let’s start with the fact that about 7 children (all under 10) are running around with no shoes, screaming at the top of their lungs. They are running EVERYWHERE! In between tables and on the stage. I wish I were making this up. The chips that was brought to table broken as if I was suppose to sprinkle them on top of the salsa. Oh let’s talk about the salsa… Picante is better. Hell, even Taco Bell’s packaged salsa is better. I couldn’t ignore the screaming or poor food taste Thankfully, the manager understood, but still a horrible experience.

I always really enjoy my visits here. Very laid back, easy going atmosphere with good value. Very good place for casual dinners with friends over a few cheap drinks.

This Place is great. They never have many people in, and for the life of me. I don’t know why not. The food is great. Happy hour drinks are great. Customer service is great. Prices are great. I truly just love this place. They are speedy too, so if you’re hungry, head in there, it’ll be out in a jiffy.

Amazing food, prices, drinks. I’ve gotten the Texas burrito and enchiladas and different occasions. The food is so fresh and delicious.

Among others negative comments Enchiludas has reached 3 years in business on 12÷13÷15.

Really good food, but the wait staff is incredibly disorganized, we had about 3 waiters and each one of them confused each other. They were sweet though.

It comes with great difficulty to write this review. Ive been very high on Enchiludas in the past, but my visit was rough today with the blame going to management and the server of another group. First I was greeted by an empty hostess station. An employee who just walked in for her shift was kind enough to drop her stuff behind the stand and get us seated with drinks.kudos. It was our waitress, Candys first day. She deserves much better. I say that because the waiter serving a table of 8 – 10 next to us kept serving alcohol to the group who was already too far drunk? How do I know they were drunk? The most intoxicated got up to high five me as I got seated. Loud yelling, vulgar languge, drinking games, and push up should have all been a sign for the group to be cut off. Totally unacceptable. The manager kept asking them to be quiet while the server kept the drinks coming. Strong management and ethical serving could bring the quality of the restaurant higher. The drinks are actually very well made, and the food is good. I hope they are able to straighten up as they are the only ones holding themselves back.

Very good food for a very good price. This place is across the street from our neighborhood, so we went first just for convenience. I already had a «favorite» Mexican place in the area (El Palenque), but it is much farther away. Well, we were very impressed. The price is very good, but the food is fun and have a lot of flavor. I particularly like the steak enchiladas. The flavors of the beef, the cheese, and the tortilla are very well balanced, don’t overwhelm each other, but also stay distinct.
This is one of those small local places where the price is going to be half of what you get a Pappasitos and the food of a better quality. One of my regular places, and I would go much more often if the diet allowed it.

AMAZING CRAWFISH!!! $ 4.50/lb and they were huge! Well cooked and a tad spicy! Yum!. Crawfish only available Saturday and Sunday…

Enchiladas & salsa were great. Price was ok, $ 8.50, not bad.
Margarita $ 9 FREAKING DOLLARS… more than the meal. NOT that good, and by far the most expensive one I have ever purchased. I would never pay that much or more unless I was buying top shelf bar mixes. Waitress was super sweet, very attentive, but management was all over the employee’s WAY to much. Annoying — let them do their job ok. They have a lot of TV’s across the bar, which is cool and you can watch several shows at once. Overall, I was really not impressed. Houston has too many solid competitors. My second time there and I will not come back. El Matador is a few blocks away and I will probably go there next time.

Their food was decent, nothing extremely special. I didnt feel anything orgasmic when eating the fajitas. The wait staff were friendly, but it did take a long time for the food to come out. It wouldn’t be the first spot I would go for Mexican food.

Want great Tex-​Mex, a truly honest frozen margarita that is the best. then try Enchiludes, Pepe is warm, inviting, and fun the food is hot and delicious, and the staff is friendly and quick. A great place to come and spend an evening with friends and family.

Pretty good food. Tried the beef fajita enchiladas which came w 2 medium sized enchiladas and rice and beans. Sauce was very good. Salsa that came with chips was also good and not spicy but flavorful. Wouldn’t mind coming back to try out the other entrees.

Delicious food, usually quiet, and friendly wait staff. It’s around the corner from home and we’re fast on our way to becoming regulars.

This is my first time here. I came here years ago when it was a La Tapatia. The bar is where we sat and waited by Monica. Nice and pleasant young girl who made great suggestions. I ordered drinks and a fajita taco just to try out. Very good taco. Fajita had good flavor and the salsas that came with the chips are bad ass! They are a little spicy though. We also tried the pupusas botj rivueltas and queso con loroco. Very good. Great atmosphere and on Fridays they have a live band. Will keep posting as I return. Here with my wife while kids have sleepovers. Kinda like a date!

Open on sundays and kitchen is open till 1:30 friday and saturday!
Clean restaurant and fast service! Ive come here since this place was originally a taqueria, then it was dos lunas, a serious dissapointment. But its good to know they raised the bar
5 big screens too for all the games!

We love this place! Service was quick and extremely friendly. They agreed to make a made to order specialty hard shell bean and cheese vegetarian taco for my 11 year old. He did not not leave one morsel of food on his plate. My husband ordered the California burrito and considering I was raised in Los Angeles, I can vouch for this burrito. YUMMY! I didn’t venture off from my previous order here and again they were consistent in the delivery of a tasty beef fajita enchilada as was also the case with the 17 year old’s big beef burrito. By the way, you must try their large frozen strawberry margarita! They are not stingy with the alcohol! The reason I gave them a four star rating is because we had to request another set of saucers as two of them didn’t meet my clean check. So, they need to get the dishwasher under check before they lose this fan!!!

2^nd visit. Last visit. We’ve gone through 4 baskets of chips and still no dinner after 45 minutes. There’s only 3 tables with guests. 6 diners at our table. Half our dinners served cold/​half hot. Enchiladas were good, tacos al carbon were mediocre. They need to step up their game. $ 2 happy hour beer won’t keep them in business long.
