The WORST service ever. Panhandlers at the FRONTDOOR asking for money and staring at you while you eat. Not a word from the management about the panhandlers disturbing the patrons. TERRIBLESERVICE.

Service has improved MUCH better. Food came out real fast, we came in around 7pm Saturday. The place was quite busy at the time. I think they have new manager now. Foods were also tasted better.

So my wife and I stopped by with our kids and ordered the soppas and we hung out outside while the kids played. Turns out they forgot our order but to make it right without having to be told or requested the manager made another order to makeup for it so not a bad place and I’m sure when we’re in the area again well stop by again

I love taco cabana, but this location closest to me needs to be burned to the ground and start from scratch. this place is absolute garbage! 80% of the time they can not complete my order correctly(trust me, my husband and I are simple people who don’t complicate orders) incorrectly charging me for items, ALWAYS missing things from my orders. like seriously, how hard is it to put tacos in a bag? all in all its good, cheap tex-mex but a fucking HASSLE to deal with the employees. awful, awful, awful

Its 8:20 on a Sunday evening and the Taco Cabana is Drive Thru only however the store hours say they’re open till 3 a.m. I really hope that talk about a corporate sees this because this place needs to change or change the store hours on their door.

It’s eleven o clock and i had a choice between taco bell and taco cabana. They’re literally on the same block. Anyway the cashier chick swiped my card and forgot to give me my food for about five minutes. It’s right there in the bag. I guess she didn’t see her coworker put it there. Gave me enough time to finish this review anyway. I suspect the food will be equally underwhelming.

Went there today and waited 45 minutes for a chicken quesadilla. I ended up having to just get a refund and leave.

Staff is usually friendly. Food is average at best, and portions for most items are just too small for what you pay for them. They’ve made some nice improvements to the interior of the place, but it still has that feel of a cheap, fast-food restaurant that doesn’t stand out at all.

Been coming here for a while! This was the first Taco Cabana I experienced when I moved to Houston and they’re all awesome and have a great selection of Tex Mex when you need a quick bite. The customer service is particularly good at this location.

I haven’t been to a TC in years and never cared for their food but my mum likes the place so we went around 1pm on a Saturday. I ordered the street steak fajitas and didn’t think much of them. The meat wasn’t bad but they don’t put that much in the fajitas. The side order of refried beans was a much larger portion than the fajitas, what the hay, m8. It also wasn’t too crowded but the food still took a while to come out. Come on Unilocal,we live in Houston, go stop by any random taco truck instead of going here to get your fix.

I went there few days ago because i was invited to ate with my co worker. Nothing special about this place. It just type of mexican fast food. salsa tasted seems blended, the red or the green one. I have few amazing experiences actually with taco truck in California. NONE special compare with this place. I ordered 4 taco no 6. it just like filling my stomach with plan flavor food. sorry but it could be better.

My visit was in early March, nothing special. I found the customers were more helpful and friendlier than the staff. Normally, there wasn’t any soup soup after midnight. But they did.

Every time we have went there they have screwed up our order. How hard is it to fill an order when it is written down right in front of you? Tonight they could not put all of what we ordered in, which came as no shock to us. On top of that our food was could. The folks that work there could not do anything right if it ment saving their lives.

Not the worst thing you can eat during the wee hours of the night if you’re starving. I prefer grabbing a couple large chips and quesos and devouring them back at my house. A decent taco cabana, pretty much what you expect. Service isn’t as bad as others for fast food.

i am a big fan of chicken flautas. especially dipped in sour cream. now, having said that, that may be the only thing i like at taco cabana. their barbacoa tacos are BEYOND greasy, and being a big fan of pico de galo, i can say that the HUGE chunks of jalapeño and onion they put among the miniature cut tomatoes is laughable. now onto my story, this morning i went to taco cabana drive thru for some breakfast. no one was in line and so i took my time to order. i tried getting their 3pck flauta«douple dip.» i told the lady i wanted guacamole and sour cream as my two dips. she told me that i can only get chipotle and creamy avocado because thats what it shows on the menu picture … i had to explain to her that in the words next to that picture it said«your choice of 2 out of our 5 dips.» and after struggling to order with her(she must be new) and her constantly telling me to hold on while she figures out how to input the order, her manager finally got on the headset and completed my order. now the funny thing. i was waiting in line at the window for food, there’s now two cars behind me. i guess the service is kind of slow, but hey, i wasn’t in a rush. i haven’t even gotten a single thing that i paid for yet, and this man, 2 cars back starts honking and screaming out his window like an orangutan(scratch that, i may offend my fellow orangutans on Unilocal). but he cuts around and honks and then uturns and honks as he burns rubber as he speeds off(hopefully to an anger management class and not straight into a car accident). long story short, i love texmex, but at this particular taco cabana, you may experience some difficulty ordering, and on occasion, orangutans will show up and demand their tex-mex asap causing you to feel scared for your life.

Low on funds so decided to take my niece and I to TC since it was happy hour. Happy hour use to be half off all nachos, but since my last visit, its 1.50 off nachos from 4 – 7. Still pretty reasonable. I can get the personal size beef nachos, load it with pico jalepanos and onions and be quite full and satisfied. This location is much cleaner than the Westchase location. Everything seems much cleaner. When you want nachos with plenty of cheddar cheese with just the right amount of meat, this is the place to go!

The food at Taco Cabana is the same at every location. Now what is different is the service you receive. This location is very close to my office, so from time to time, I make my way over. The ladies who work the counter are always nice and helpful. The restaurant is always tidy and everytime I have come here, there is someone wiping a table or mopping the floor… these 2 things warrant big gold stars.

Taco Cabana used to be good a long time ago. I used to eat at the one in East Houston quite often as when this chain was still in it’s public romance period, the food was in fact good. With this particular location, which I used a few times, the real appeal is that the drive through is open 24 hours. So when you get good drunk and hungry you can use this drive through at 3am and get some fajitas. The problem I have with this place is that the food is way, way, way too salty. I mean, if you can taste such powerful salt even when you are drunk, something is wrong. I tried it one time during the day while sober and said to myself, BLECH! How could I be eating this crap? I don’t understand or actually just don’t know what would cause a chain’s food quality to go down so low over time, but I have found the same at other Taco Cabana’s that I tried to give a chance to. The beef fajita meat, now, is unlike anything you have ever tasted, Tex Mex wise and that’s not in a good way. It’s as if it has this synthetic, almost rubber taste to it, and LOTS of salt as if it were marinated in salt water in a Hefty black trash bag or something. And it’s not just the taste, it’s the aroma as well. Like plastic or something. I dunno guys, if you can eat this, you have my respect. I can’t and wouldn’t if it were free. Now one interesting experience, not related to this location but the one in East Houston on I-10, they used to actually sell you beer and margaritas at the drive through. Pure class. I don’t think they were supposed to be doing that, but they have my sheer respect and appreciation for the times they did. Nothing like a nice ice cold Margarita in a cup in your console when driving home. :)
