Enclave at Cypress Park

I moved to Houston from nj for a job and then Enclave had very nice pricing and was very close to work. But my goodness is their service horrible and they don’t care about anything but getting every last dime they can squeeze out of you. I was sent two eviction notices on two different occasions for them not getting rent on time. So what is the point of the drop box attached to the office if they don’t get your rent checks? When I asked why they were evicting me they said they use that as a scare tactic to make people pay. When I was tired of all the nonsense I put in almost 2 months worth of notice they said it needed to be there months. I said sure fine and agreed to that and the last 30 day period would have fallen mid month and when I asked what the final amount would be they told me over the phone and I cut the check and dropped it off. The week before my last week as a key holder there I noticed more eviction notices on my door and a returned check for my final pro rated month. I went straight to the office and handed in my keys handed them back the check and closed the door. After this experience I tell everyone to refrain from complexes especially any complex named the Enclave. The staff is rude, the housing is decent, the community is sad and doesn’t feel safe to live in. One time it was 4am and I heard knocking at the door, then the sound of keys. The security guard was going to just go right into my home for no reason. When I got to the door and swung it open and stepped out into the man he started stuttering and trying to say he thought the home to be vacant. The weekend prior I was out of town So they must have been staking out my house. So if you live there now keep an eye on your self and your belongings the security may be stealing from you when your not around.
I lived at the Enclave for 1 year and it was 1 year way to long 2013 to 2014.

1) Parking. There is none. Even though they claim they have it. When you sign your lease, you will get a parking permit for your car which is good only for open parking. Covered parking is $ 20 a month. Sounds pretty typical, right? The catch is, they give out more permits than there are parking spaces, covered or not.
Unless you live in the back by the visitor’s parking area, you will likely have to park your car in the opposite end of the entire complex. Want to go get milk real quick, or run any quick errand? You’ll spend more time walking to your car than you will driving to the store. It’s a huge inconvenience. Imagine carrying a load of groceries across the complex.
Oh, the covered parking? I’m on a waiting list until «maybe» the end of January, 2016. So even if you wave your cash, it might not be enough.
2) Super thin walls in the townhomes. You can hear everything. I don’t mind the neighbors, but they mind me. Something to consider.
3) Stackable washer and dryer connections only. You can rent one from them for… $ 40 a month.
4) Won’t allow instillation of satellite dish on property. Gonna have to settle for Comcast.
Minus the anemic parking availability, it’s a pretty subpar complex, even for the money. The parking makes it just that much worse though. It’s Houston, everyone drives, and we need to leave our cars somewhere without worrying about getting towed or simply walking a mile to get to our cars. Pathetic situation they have going on. Their response? «We’re working on it.» Yea, right.

If you are social and have friends that you like to invite over, do no live here. Unless you have about $ 200 to dish out every time one of their cars gets towed. Oh, they have a wonderful visitors parking area of about 12 spots to about 300 residents. But that’s ok, once the 12 spots are taken up the wonderful and trusting security guard will tell you that it’s ok to park right next to the visitors parking. But what he will not tell you is that your car will get towed anyways. So have a handy $ 200 dollars stashed every time you invite a friend over because their car will get towed.
