Fox & Hound Smokehouse & Tavern

The staff are incredibly friendly. The food is passable. I am a little alarmed that I specifically told the waitress I’m allergic to cheese and she then gave me Parmesan fries, not realizing Parmesan was cheese. She was very apologetic but a little worrying if you have a serious food allergy.

Decided to try this place because we were going to the Joke Joint comedy club next door.
Very impressed with this place, three different areas/​rooms and plenty of tables and chairs. Plenty of TVs to watch games.
Waitstaff was very friendly and greeted our group right away and allowed us to decide where to sit. They took the time to let us talk a little and checked in with us to see when we were ready to order.
The only odd thing is the menu on the website we checked prior to our visit was totally different than the one in the restaurant. However my wife ordered the baby back ribs and I ordered the fish and chips.
All of our food arrived hot and looked really good. My wife loved her ribs and I enjoyed the fish and chips. Portions were large and we did not leave hungry. Everything tasted really good and did not appear or taste like cheap fast food.
Plenty of parking in large common parking area for with other stores. It is somewhat of a sports bar but a step below, what I mean is that the restaurant seemed to take priority over being a sports bar. Keep in mind we were there early around 6:30 — 7:30pm not sure what the place looks like at party time or after midnight.
Will go to again for sure, prices were not high for what we ordered but what we got for the money was a real bargain.

They have some good deals, but the beer is either flat or watered down. Very relaxed atmosphere but that’s only because it’s always empty which isn’t the worst thing, however draft beer is the make it or break it in this review and it does not live up to it.

Hadn’t been here in a while. Music was on jamming. Got to watch some nba all star events on the big screen. Beers were about 5 bucks.

This place used to be WAY BETTER & FUN like 5 years ago… Now its kinda boring… But i like the location and how big and roomy it is

The option of 0 stars is not offered!!! I decided to have my 32’s bday party here WORST MISTAKE EVER! I reserved and when I arrived no one knew what was going on! Manager had to be called and he said we’ll make room! He said the green room will be for your party but there was a party there already! So he then offered another section which I took. I wasn’t about to ruin my day!!! This place seriously sucks if you are having a party! The waitress was totally clueless! The manager was a total IDIOT! He send 1 waitress to serve 25 – 30 people! Are you serious! Our drinks took forever to get not to mention our food! Some of my guest even decided to cancel their orders talk about embarrassing! That wasn’t the worst part!!! I received calls from 4 of my guests asking me if I had been over charged, it seems like the clueless waitress ran their card about 3 times running a $ 30 bill to about $ 120 a couple days after the party hmmmm, really? PLEASE DO NOT HAVE YOUR PARTIES HERE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Feel so bad for the waitstaff here. It’s the Canelo fight and there are 3 servers, 2 bartenders, and 0 managers on the floor.

We came during a slow period for a drink and some food. It took a little long for our beers to come out, but other than that, the experience was enjoyable. Lots of TVs with sports, the wings were decent, not at all dry, and the staff was friendly.

Came here to watch a game with my wife. When we first got there, it took about 10 minutes just to order our drinks. It took another 20 minutes to order an appetizer. This only foreshadows forms what’s to come. After we placed our order, it took over 1 hour just to get an answer about our food. I was then told that they were short staffed. I don’t give a rats ass! Horrible service, bad management and wow does this place suck. Never will I ever come back. I’ll be sure to go to Bombshells or Time Out bar next time. If the Fox and Hound management ever read this review, your establishment sucks and I really hope you shut down so that maybe a real tavern can take over. F you fox and hound! What a waste of life. If I could give you negative to zero stars, I would.

Horrible service. We waited over two hours to get appetizers. Which we ended up canceling our order, obviously. We never got offered refills on our drinks. We stayed because we were watching a football game, but had they not had the game on we would have never stayed this long. Btw on a day that both the Cowboys and the Texans played at the same time management should have been alot smarter about being properly staffed. We had one waitress for about 40 – 50 people, when my husband cancels the order she tells us they only have two cooks. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Sexy staff, very nice place just be sure if you want to pay walk up to a pay station and pay. This is because it will take from 20 min to an hour to get your money. Also I came afternoon time so no one was there. Overall nice staff food was pretty ok. You pay for the atmosphere and good looking girls. Smokehouse? No maybe like you can smoke but there is no bar b q. People give this place low stars but that’s because you have high hopes. The staff really did try and I really thank them for that. I appreciate them for going out their way if I ever need a get away during the day this would be the place just not after 7. I’ll post some high quality pics shortly. Thanks guys.

Usually I come her for play games and drink. I decided to try the food today. The food is nothing special. You can get what they have anywhere else. I don’t think I’ll be back here for food again. Btw the egg looked unappetizing.

Drinks were really good I haven’t tried the food but I’m looking forward and the bartender was nice. It gets live when there are sports!

Where oh where is the minus star button… After 4 months the place has not chances. Table bases are still filthy. Tables are loose, wobbly. One person working the whole place at 4 in the afternoon. Really.

Smokehouse? Wow that was quite deceptive. Walked in because we saw the big TVs and the word «SMOKEHOUSE». Was expecting some good ol’ fashioned (also don’t order one of those here) BBQ and Brisket. Instead we saw a menu full of typical bar food items and no BBQ to be found. We hoped the wings would be good at least. Instead, they were dried out and did not have nearly enough sauce. My burger was okay but cooked more medium than medium rare like I ordered. The chips on the spinach artichoke were thin and oily; the actual atrichoke dip seemed to be mostly mayo… ugh. Cmon Houston area you are letting me down.
I will give them one thing though. The waitress was super attentive and checked on us every 5 minutes. I feel like that was because we were the only ones in here that looked as though we had money though. Further proof I need to get local recs before venturing into the world by my lonesome.

Man what happened to this place. I remember this spot being the place to hang out for ppv fights and Saturday night fun. It seems like all the riff raff have taken over which would explain all the cops for security. It’s not as classy as I remember and they even turn one side into a «club» for dancing n stuff. I guess things have changed but not really in a position direction. Not saying it’s a bad place but just not for me.

I was in town for the holidays last week and wanted to meet an old friend for a beer. We stopped in F&H and waited in an empty bar over 10 min for the bartender to show up from wherever she was lounging. We got our beers and could only drink about half because the swarm of fruit flies was simply disgusting. By the time we were halfway through– there were bugs floating in our glasses. Needless to say we closed out and left. I wouldn’t come back.

Fox and Hound Fuqua has good and bad. I will start with the positives. There is a great selection of beers on draft and bottled beer. Their menu has changed and the food has improved quite a bit. We ordered the sampler appetizer and it was sufficient for two. We opted for the boneless buffalo wings along with cheese wedges, onion rings and pretzel sticks. It was all good. Being an all star club allows you to rack up points for freebies and bragging rights. One perk I received was playing their fantasy football league and I accumulated credit redeemable in dollars for food. Now for the bad, waitresses are not that great you can expect marginal to sub par service every time and on any fight night there is hefty cover charge to get in the door. Other than that fox and hound is a decent place to go!

Use to love it here, Has gone way downhill since 2010. Sad because this was a great place to duck into on a tuesday afternoon and throw some darts around. Been going to Richmond Arms now instead. Deff love it better.

Fox and Hound is a great sports bar for all occasions. Whether it’s to watch the game, take a girl on a date, or shoot pool. They have a large layout so you don’t feel as if you are sitting in the next people at the next table’s lap. As for the food, it’s truly above average for a sport’s bar.
