Decent food and quick. Standard issue deli. Haven’t experienced a long wait yet or bad service.

Waited 5 min at the counter to order and we were the only customers. The kitchen staff just looked up and continued to speak Spanish. Mostly industrial lunch menu. I ate the bacon egg cheese croissant and it was okay. Drinks are very over priced. The open kitchen did look very clean. But the middle eastern owners should buy some anti fatigue mats for their spanish chefs.

The Plot: Mom and Pop place. Slightly above average industrial worker lunches and breakfasts are served. Many folks seem to know one another. But, one is missing, and a stranger shows up. Hmmm. Hey, this place is not a Nightmare on Rankin Street! Freddy is not Krueger, but this Freddy seems to have slashed the prices on some goods that are severed, … errr, I meant«served». Menu has traditional hot and cold sandwiches, and nothing unusual … Heart-healthy: several salads around $ 4.50; small tossed salad for $ 2 Heart-unhealthy: Gyros, burgers, Reuben, Muffaletta, and cold sandwiches Stranger’s order: $ 7 for Philly Steak n Cheese Poboy with fries and a drink Autopsy: Taste was OK. Meat was dry and thinner-cut than a traditional Philly. It did not have many grilled onions and peppers. Poboy bread was smaller diameter, and was soft, untoasted. Fries were OK and plentiful. Overall, the basket was overpriced and not as tasty as it should have been. I probably would have been happier with the special of the day or a burger(something they have to get right, and apparently do). Summary: In the back roads, but convenient to the industrialists like Smith International and Baker Hughes, is a strip-mall deli with a very nice elderly couple serving decent food at decent prices, in general. No fancy décor, but it’s not dilapidated, either. In many ways, it reminded me of Burger World, a couple of miles away.
