Rude, rude, rude! I love my people, but it’s people like the ones here that give us black folks a bad name. First we walk into the club, wait I mean frenchys. You’d think it was a club by how loud the music was. I had to yell my order to the lady behind the counter, who couldn’t give less of a F#&@ about the fact we are there.

I am completely shocked at all the low reviews and negative comments about this location! I came here last night and this was my first time EVER going to a Frenchy’s and I was NOT disappointed! Yes, the wait time was a bit long but that’s because they cooked my chicken fresh along with everyone else’s. At Church’s and stuff, it’s already there, sitting under a lamp and no telling how long it’s been there. I had no idea what I was going to get since I’d never tried their chicken before. I got home and MYOHMY, best fried(fast food) chicken I have EVER had! Seriously amazing. It was super crispy, hot, and I need the recipe for that batter! I only got the chicken so I can’t review on how sides are but the chicken itself is enough to keep coming back! And I don’t know if all locations are this good or if it’s even better at others but I just know at this one, it is great. The staff was very nice too! The guy who took my order was very friendly and polite. And I even saw another guy there come up to a couple to ensure them that he hadn’t forgotten about their order, that they just had to cook everything fresh. He didn’t have to do that but it was nice of him. I had a wonderful experience and I am going back very soon!

Had there chicken & fries today, an I must say it was pretty good. I will go back just to see if it’s the same quality of food. Good job!

I was looking forward to eating here. My son has been obsessed with fried chicken lately and this was much closer than Joneses. I heard how tasty this place was. First off, what kind of «soul food» joint does not have real iced tea as a drink? We are in the south! Instead they had that fake Gold Peak tea machine. Disgusting. They were out of fruit punch, sprite, and lemonade too… shame. The chicken was mediocre. It wasn’t crunchy. It was cold and kind of stale. It also left a weird film/after taste in my mouth… like McDonald’s hashbrowns. The fries where good but mainly because of the seasoning. The biscuit was fluffy and had that sweet honey butter glaze we love from Churchs. I paid $ 20 for 10 pieces, large fries, and drink. Not worth the price. I left disappointed. Service was meh and the place seemed dirty. Maybe Frenchy’s is good but definitely not this location.

Horrible wait, the floors and bathroom were filthy. The Young ladies behind the register were more concerned about flirting with the male costumers than actually working.

Very unprofessional staff. Hate to use the word Ghetto, but it applies here. One of the cashiers keep whispering why are they looking me, maybe we would like for you to give us our phone so we can leave.

Menu and pricing online are not honored. They do not carry the tender value pack, so you are forced to buy an individual meal for each person who wants tenders. The table showing the pricing of sides isn’t formatted correctly for mobile, but it appears that the most expensive side is $ 5.99, yet we were charged $ 8.28 for a dozen biscuits. While the food is alright, I feel ripped off. Will not be returning.

Although this location will never compare to the location on Scott St, the chicken is still pretty tasty. Each time I have gone, the food is hot and fresh. The workers are also very friendly. It only takes a few minutes before I get my order. Last but not least, they keep the restaurant very clean. I will definitely be back.

Finger lickin’ good! It can get a bit expensive for fried chicken but it’s definitely worth the occasional splurge. My only complaint: they don’t have all the same sides that are available at the downtown location(no boudin balls). We usually order a box of chicken with large sides and have enough for dinner and lunch the next day, so I can’t comment on the small side item sizes. I had no problems ordering and did not see any issues with kitchen/server hygiene. Glad to have a Frenchy’s in my neighborhood and highly recommend.

owner & general mgr! listen up! just because this establishment has been primarily popular among the urban community does not mean you need to allow it to feed into the stereotype of a socially inept ghetto establishment! clean it up! customer service goes alonnnnnng way. .not employees(in dookie braids) on their cell phone the entire time they’re taking orders. smh! workers not wearing gloves while handling food… we walked out! never again!

My husband had been raving about this place for the past three years I’ve known him and so since this one opened up down the street from us, I said lets give it a try. Went in and ordered ONE meal, and one drink. waited for 15mins, asked the manager how much longer for one meal. the other woman slaps our box that’s been sitting under the heated lamps and says its right here! Then another 5 – 7 mins goes by, and still haven’t received our food, at this point I am mad and want to leave. While I’m in disbelief of their attitude, I notice the cook is only wearing ONE glove for food prep.(I being a former General Manager for a Major food chain, were I was sent off to another part of the country to receive PROPER food handling training, thought, Oh dear Lord, that’s not a good sign) The Manager(whose not in uniform, but in street clothes) is sitting their on his cell phone doing inventory while he is standing in the back of the house(food prep area) rubbing his beard and touching his chest hair while talking to the One handed glove cook. So I’m officially done at this point and want a full refund, my husband steps up to the counter and demands our money back(and pay for the drink we have been drinking) the manager starts yelling at us because we want our money back. Then a supervisor steps in(woman) and proceeds to ask what the problem is I tell her what I saw and that the cook had only one glove on, She then proceeds over to the heated lamps and picks up a pair of TONGS and tells me Quote Unquote«These(holding the tongs) are what the cooks use to get chicken out of the freezer and place food in the window, they DONTUSE their hands, EVER! Only These!(tongs) The only pair of tongs I saw were in the window and so to me that shows me cross contamination from raw frozen chicken with the same tongs and placed cooked chicken in the window. UGH… Good way to kill someone. They finally refunded our money including the drink, which I already told them we drank out of, I place $ 1.00(for the drink) on the counter and walked out. This was my First time and Last time there! Go to Raising Cain’s at least they are professional and polite as well as cleanly.

Frenchys side item sizes are a joke. What else are you being cheap with Frenchys??? To put in perspective how much a small side of rice is worth, think of a big tablespoon of rice. Seriously. Unfortunately, these small sides come standard on most combo’s. So I thought I had beat the system when I saw the side item sizes and ordered additional sides for more money. I was looking forward to my $ 10 bag of heavily seasoned flavor, richness and heritage… Have you ever bought something and when you opened it was like«Thats it?» The group I was with all had that moment at the same time. We left disappointed with the feeling that a Chinese buffet would have been much better. Poor value for your money. Hyped up fried chicken. Watered down Creole.

OK, so maybe it is because they have only been open 3 days but this had to be the worst Frenchy’s we have been to. Not only did they get our order wrong once, they got it wrong twice. They seemed to either have been out of some of the sides or under different rules as the other Frenchy’s because they said the only sides we could get with our meal was either fries or dirty rice even though every other ones allow of any choice of sides except gumbo. Their biscuits, unlike the other locations did not have the same amount of honey over the top of them. The dirty rice had zero flavor which, seeing as it was one of the only two choices we had for sides was a let down. The only good thing was their chicken was as good as the other ones. All in all, we’ll stick to going to another one of their locations over this one because it will be hard for them to overcome this first impression in our eyes.
