Gardens of River Oaks

This is an absolutely stunning venue, and one of Houston’s secret gems. Set inside of a block of homes, it has this super intimate feel. The conservatory in itself is gorgeous, and every photograph of this place looks amazing! From the raised patio and gazebo to conservatory and courtyard, there are so many options to make this space your own.
As a Houston wedding vendor, I am not normally supposed to have favorites, but I do, and this is it! Elegant, relaxed, and versatile, Gardens of Bammel Lane is an oasis from standard wedding venues… and we love it!

This is a cute and quaint area where you can have a wedding or some other outdoor/​indoor type of festivity.
I came here for a friend’s wedding and let’s just say that this place totally fit her personality. It is large enough for about 75 people to fit comfortably and they have outdoor seating areas as well as an indoors area.

I had my wedding here in the fall of 2011 and it fit our wedding perfectly.
This is an outdoor/​indoor venue, depending on how you look at it. It’s a courtyard area surrounded by shops that line four streets around it. Upon entering one of the many gated entrances, you’ll see the gazebo and a deck outdoors. Additionally, there’s this beautiful glass conservatory (that they imported from London) and it has heating and air conditioning. So depending on the size of your wedding, you have options. We had our ceremony under the gazebo and our guests were seated on the deck. The reception was inside the conservatory, although people could walk in and out of it. It was very convenient having both the ceremony and reception at the same place. We had ~80 guests and it didn’t feel too crowded or empty.
In terms of parking, they have a small lot nearby, but you can call the church right over there and request to use their parking lot. They were very cooperative.
The place itself is beautiful. They have outdoor lights for nighttime, and little chandeliers inside the conservatory. There’s a music stand too, located behind the gazebo that was perfect for a string duo/​trio/​quartet. You get a set amount of money to be used towards any rentals from here, like chairs, tables (in a variety of sizes and shapes), a bar, etc.
This is a very do it yourself venue though. We were on a tight budget and it allowed us to be creative with everything to keep the cost down. Overall, I was very happy.
