My chicken salad sandwich was not a lot of chicken at all… I was expecting a nice amount like you usually get with a decent chicken sal. sandwich… this one just barely covered the bread! And then I ordered sweet potato tots and I only got 5 tots… really?! for 12 dollars? My friends ordered burgers and SP fries… they looked a lot better and everything we ordered the same price. I’ll save my money next time. Rip off.

There was absolutely nothing good about my most recent experience. I have been here before and was able to tolerate the lack of menu knowledge, steps of service, untimely ticket times, or any of the other basic service industry standards that are missing here because it’s usually not a total loss like brunch was. There is no one leading this place. Servers are not trained on the POS systems, the menu, how to take an order, how to communicate to the kitchen, or even that when ticket times climb over an hour to start a wait at the host stand. The managements only consultation to his inability to do his job was to not charge me for the two entrees his kitchen wasn’t able to produce. When your kitchen crashes do some table visits and, talk to your struggling servers, put the place on a wait! I will be back when there is a sign stating, «under new management».

The food is great but sadly management is too cheap to hire staff people at the door have been leaving not because there aren’t empty tables but because the wait staff tells them they can’t handle more people at that moment and if they care to wait.

Horrible service. We came on a busy day, but the customer service was bordering on rude. We got three people’s food and are still waiting on three other people’s plates 20 minutes later. Three of us ordered coffee over half an hour ago. Our waitress seems to be moving at snail pace and is nonapologetic. The manager did not show up despite is asking to see him. Super disappointing!

So the food is pretty decent, but it would probably be faster if you just grew, harvested and cooked it yourself. The seven of us arrived the morning of the Houston Marathon at 11:45, just ahead of a large crowd. We were seated quickly and the person who seated us apologized that there were only two menus. Apparently they were very busy and they were out of menus– there was a twenty five person table next to us that had yet to be served, but they had a very attentive waiter. Our waiter was not so attentive. By the time we ordered we were ordering food and drinks because we had enough time to look the menu over and we were pretty hungry. She took down our orders, but there was a communication barrier. I said that I wanted hot tea and water, then added another food item– the French toast, half for here and half to go, and then she asked if I wanted anything to drink. When I again said hot tea, just wrote it down again. This happened for almost every food item. So we order our drinks and food, and we wait. And wait. And wait. After 20 minutes one of our group goes to the bar and asks if we can get seven waters. They ask who the waitress is, and tell us they will be coming out soon. Our waitress come back and asks for how we would like the eggs done on the orders with eggs. Wait– you haven’t put on our order yet? Seven minutes later we get waters! No tea for me and none of the coffees that the rest of the table has ordered. I remind the waitress of my tea & she tells me it’s coming. Five minutes later I get tea! Success! The cup is hella dirty inside from built up coffee residue, but I don’t even care, I am just happy they got something out to me. No coffee for the others though. Two minutes later and food! … Well for some of us at least… Four of us got our breakfast order and picked at it trying to control our ravenous stomachs as we waited for the food for the others. Eventually we couldn’t handle it and some of us(me included), caved into our hunger. The eggs Benedict was pretty good but not out of this world. The people who got food seemed pretty happy about it. Coffee arrives. Please note that there has not once ever been any sense of urgency on the part of the waitress. Of the three who did not, one of them got his food roughly 20 minutes later, but it was not his order– he is a vegetarian and they gave him a buffalo meat patty with his French toast and added a random pancake which we sent back. I went to speak with the manager. I let him know that I had eaten here before and the service was good, but this had been a very bad experience for us. I know it was busy since they had run out of water cups and so two of ours were styrofoam, but it took us over thirty minutes to get water, and more than 50 minutes to get coffees. It’s been thirty minutes since I got my food and my compatriots still have not recorded theirs. He just said the place was busy because of the marathon and asked the waitress where the other half of the table’s food was. The answer: behind the party of 25. The manager let her know that she shouldn’t have done that, but didn’t seem to care a whole lot that we weren’t happy. After being there over an hour, with our friends from out of town still having not received their food, we just left and made them eggs & bacon at home.

The set up is like an old diner with service at the counter for ordering. All I knew coming in was a quick glance at the menu and I was looking forward to a burger. The burger was overcooked and tasteless. Under impressed by my meal. The ventilation system was either not working or off because the dining room was smoky. The AC was on full blast with a draft along the booths. Not sure if I’d give them a second try.

One of my favorite places to bring my dog! Fabulous, cheap mimosas and great food. I love their weekly menus– always something new and delicious to try. The service is sometimes slow on the patio, but I love the relaxed atmosphere. My dog is always treated to homemade treats and plenty of water. One of my all-time favorites is the BBQ Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese, but it’s not a regular menu item. Follow them on Instagram and you wont be able to resist!

Poor service, cold coffee, mediocre food at best. Literally everything was over peppered. Hollandaise sauce was nauseating. Orange juice was simply orange with mango.

We came here for a late breakfast. Unfortunatley the weather did not allow to enjoy their patio but it looks pretty nice. Food was simple and good. Service was fast but the place was nearly empty. You get the fifth star when you get rid of those small plastic cups in which you served jam, salsa etc.

Normally great but there’s a new cook who over cooked everything. Very disappointing. Plus the chicken was smaller than normal and crispy as well as the sweet potatoes

We love this place and their menu always has something different on it. They use fresh herbs that they grow in the back for some of their foods and drinks. They have lots of flavors for their mimosas which are super cheap on Sunday’s! It’s understated being close to Max’s wine dive but is definitely a great place for brunch. We always bring our dog here and they have made from scratch dog biscuits she loves! Super friendly staff, but always ask for Rob, he’s the best!

Man I wish I was blown away. Ok the venue is pretty cool. Old house that is now a restaurant. Very nice. The service is decent and the mimosas are excellent. There are like 10 flavors and the price is right on point. This is what saved the review. Now on to the food. So so. I had the biscuits and gravy and the servings weren’t plentiful and I just was expecting so much more. I was an ok experience but going back in the future: maybe. I wouldn’t rule it out.

Worst first experience ever. We ordered the grilled guacamole for an appetizer. It took 52 minutes to get it. On top of the 25 minutes it took to get our waters. The«guacamole» was really just avocado with pico on top. 20 minutes after the already 52 minutes we waited, finally got our food, which was cold. I ordered eggs Benedict that was smothered in grease and oil. Disgusting!!! Oh and the place wasn’t even busy. ATALL! No excuse for this horrible service and food. Very disappointed.

This place is OK, but not outstanding. All of the food I had was about average, but the big benefit to this place is that you can usually get a table even on a busy sunday for brunch with little or no wait — great alternative to waiting at Max’s. We had the green ‘hummus’ appetizer, which was pretty good. I tried my friend’s spicy bahn mi sandwhich, which was VERY spicy, but both of us had upset stomachs afterwards. Good service and cute atmosphere, a good place for family and kids.

We came here for date night last night and was looking forward to trying something new. We arrived and were told that ‘we could sit anywhere… but the hostess can’t find the menus’ — err ok. We sit down and the lost menus did appear. Looking around it was evident that a) it was not very busy(a concern on a Friday night) and b) there was only one waitress and she seemed frazzled. Sensing that it might be a struggle — we decided to order our drinks and dinner all at the same time. The drinks took a VERY long time to arrive. When they did, I asked that my water be re-filled — it was about ¾ re-filled and my husband didn’t get a refill at all. Finally our food came. He had the Strose Salad and really enjoyed it. I had the tuna nachos and thought that they were really cool and tasty. Summary — food is good, but service is significantly lacking. It is unfortunate, because this little bungalow has a lot of potential — but not until the service is corrected.

I like that Gratifi is in an old house(100+ years old), the interior is charming and warmly decorated, there is a yard space where ~8 round tables are placed, blooming trees and tasty brunch food. I visited with a girlfriend for Saturday brunch, she ordered the Huevos Rancheros and I got the Pain Perdu with a vanilla latte. The Good: — Gratifi has a weekly seasonal menu — Appropriate portions — Tasty food, delicious latte — Good atmosphere — DOGFRIENDLYPATIO!!! The Questionable: — We sat on the patio and it was LOVELY but the cost of that beauty was having little flowers from the trees float on down and into our drinks and hair — Waitstaff wasn’t overly proactive, a little on the slow side Note: — There are only about 2 non-handicapped parking spaces so don’t count on having parking available, you may need to park in the neighborhood
