Hanz Diner

I gotta say walking in it looked a lil sketchy just because it was empty, HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised. The service is prompt and attentive. Walking in you may seem put off because it’s empty but it’s a brand new business. The food portions are HUGE and well worth the price. SO YUMMY! It’s a hole in the wall treasure. COME HERE if you are in north Houston. Another thing, our waitress came out with an extra full plate of fries. Apparently the boss did not feel we got enough so he brought us out a plate on the house. They go above and beyond to provide a positive dining experience. Will be returning!

Very good food. And the service was fantastic. Clean facility! A must see local place to eat!

FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY!!! A Diner in the North Side of Houston!!! Here are my thoughts:
* Portions are big, and when I say big. I mean BIG! Everything is bigger in Texas for a reason. For the price, you are getting more bang in this case deliciousness for your buck.
* Staff: Impressed! The moment you enter the location you are greeted by host and owner with a «Welcome to Hanz». Was a little shocked, but in a good way.
* Food: I am so stuffed writing this review, but I unbuttoned my pants (button) relax relax lol. Homemade food is the best. I’ve only tried the grilled catfish along with hash browns and mashed potatoes, but, I plan on trying more of their food.
Would recommend this location to anyone! I think it’s time for a nap goodnight

WoW!!! Food is AMAZING! Very tasty and on point. Customer service is awesome! The actual owner is out there on the floor helping serve, very humble & rare! Food so good you want to stuff yourself because you cant stop eating. For the price, portion, & variety they are always my go to when I cant decide what’s for lunch. All homemade also. You can even order online express dine-​in incase you have short lunches to save time.

The service by Christina our service was awesome! The portion size was great and the food tasty. I ordered the waffle and chicken fried chicken, my mom ordered the fried catfish breakfast. We will be visiting again

As Diana reviwed, don’t let the appearance fool you, I ordered the oven roasted turkey with eggs, and it came with hash browns and two big biscuits. It was delicious, but I could not finish it because it was a lot of food. I might give one slice of turkey and a biscuit to some random guy on the street, I didn’t even touch that, lol. The waitress was really nice, the manager was cool, she have me a brief history of the owner of this place, He owns some chain called Frank’s or something like that in SouthWest Houston.
I would give it 10 stars if there was an option for 10 stars.

Don’t let appearances fool you. Hanz Diner, I have to admit, seemed pretty sketchy on the outside and it’s environment, but boy did I struck a gold mine. Upon entering the new establishment, me and my gal were immediately greeted by the employees with smiling faces and great enthusiasm! They allowed us to pick a seating of our choice and immediately we noticed that the dining room was very grand and well spaced out. Tables weren’t too close together and not to awkwardly apart. Our server came to greet us personally and handed out menus and proceeded to take our drink orders. She seemed like she was still training as a waitress but she was very friendly and prompt throughout our visit. Service here is a perfect 10! Now for the food! Prices were very affordable for the portions that you get and the variety is incredible. Not to mention that the menu is widely diverse so there is always something for everyone at anything! From American to Hispanic, to even a hint of Asian. I wish I could’ve taken pictures of the food because it looked pretty darn amazing and it tasted just as so. A long drive to this little diner but definitely worth it!

First things first, for this being a restaurant that JUST opened, it definitely deserves five stars. Super friendly and welcoming people the moment you come in! Decorations are super cute and simple, food is amazing and very cheap for the amount given. Will definitely be coming back very soon, wish it wasn’t so far from home but worth the drive.
