Ali made our experience exceptional! He went above and beyond and then some; making calls and tracking our order even on his day off. If interested, here is our story: Typical of many men, my fiancé waited until 3 weeks before the wedding to even start looking at wedding bands. Not liking big chain jewelry stores I gritted my teeth as we made our way through Robbins Brothers hard sale tactics and Jared’s tiny selection. We went into Helzberg knowing that My fiancé bought me some earrings there and was happy with the service. We found«the ring» right away. We opted to have it sized because a ring from the manufacturer might not arrive in time. While we were there he talked to me about my antique engagement ring. I was impressed by his knowledge of antique cuts which is rare in many retail shops and we entrusted his jeweler to correct a past repair that was not right that very day. We left happy and excited. A few days later the wedding band was ready, but we weren’t happy with the finish. Ali not only personally made sure the jeweler redid it and got it right, but ordered a new ring from the manufacturer. He made multiple calls to have it rushed through the manufacturer and the Helzberg corporate headquarters QI check, including on his day off. The ring arrived within a week. When we got to the store we were able to compare the ring we had sized down and the brand new one. We actually ended up keeping the ring that was sized at Helzberg which was nearly identical, except the new ring felt lighter and the fit was a little different. Ali knew I was anxious about everything and he called me and kept me posted. He gave us exceptional service that was truly personal. I could not have asked for more. He is a man who cares about what he does and listens to his customers. If you work with him you will not get a hard sale and he will not only be sensitive to your budget, he will work hard to get you what you really want within budget if humanly possible.

We wanted to find the perfect engagement ring, and we had gone to a few different jewelry stores before Helzberg. But at Helzberg we got all that we were looking for, and much more. Making a significant purchase — such as an engagement ring — requires much research, consideration, and smart shopping. Rita and Janie are the most helpful, patient, and caring salespeople my girlfriend and I have ever felt with. They took the time to help us learn all about diamonds, and that time led us to «the one». Neither Rita, nor Janie, or anyone else at Helzberg for that matter, ever pressured us to buy. And when we were ready, they made the process easy and affordable. If you’re looking for a hassle free buying experience and looking for the«wow» effect, stop by Helzberg and ask for Rita and Janie. I have to agree that for the most part they are friendly. My issue is there seems to be some corporate constraints that the store passes onto the customer. The first strike happened a year ago when Helzberg-Memorial ordered the wrong size wedding band for me, it was tungsten so it couldn’t be re-sized. Problem is corporate will not send out the new size until they receive the old ring. I was told I could put down a deposit and they’ll ship the next ring. Last I checked I didn’t mess up, you’re telling me that the store can’t front the money they knew they were getting back? On top of this knowing we were in a hurry they never called when any of the rings arrived(my wife and mine) after PROMISING they would, two different times. We called up to the store to be told that the rings had been waiting for us? This was all about a year ago. Then this weekend we go into the store to have my wives ring sent out to be re-plated. When we bought the rings they gave us these cardboard things that are supposed to be signed every time she takes it in for inspection. We didn’t’ have it and the sales associate looked mildly annoyed that he had to look up. I guess he couldn’t find it in the system and we were told we could go home get the card and come back. Target can tell me if I purchased toilet paper a year ago and you can’t find a multi-thousand dollar purchase? We waited for 20 minutes as they tried to find out what they needed to do. One associate even told us they are doing us a favor by trying to look it up, b/c we signed a contract that said we would have this piece of cardboard on us? Long story short… 1) It’s obvious the company makes them jump through hoops, perhaps the systems used are terrible… 2) None of this is my problem as a customer, it’s your job to make the experience smooth b/c these problems aren’t my problems. they are yours…

Went here a million times because we were so indecisive. Ask for Rita and Ali. They were extremely helpful and personable. They sat down with us and really educated us about diamonds and were not pushy at all. Ali then helped us close the deal and really gave us what we wanted. He was always helpful and friendly despite us going back and forth on what we wanted. We ended up making purchase. Ali went out of his way to make sure we got a good deal and good diamond. He really made us feel at home.

I cannot thank Helzberg enough! The manager is the most amazing person I have ever met. I had come in knowing my problems would not be fixed but within hours they proved me wrong. They were accommodating, respectful, timely, patient, educated, what else can I even say?! Not to mention the jeweler sized my ring for me last minute. I have been to many Helzberg locations and by far this is the best!

Helzberg in Memorial City Mall presented my fiancée and me with absolutely the worst shopping experience we’ve ever had. We said we were looking for an engagement ring, and were immediately deluged with a half-hour harangue detailing how expert they were at judging and mounting diamonds. Following this we were shown one very expensive diamond in a fancy setting and urged to buy it on the spot. When we asked for alternative stones and settings, they launched right back into the original sermon about their expertise. Needless to say, we left forthwith and went over to Jared, where they treated us exactly the way we hoped.

A chain store where employees remember you is always refreshing. The staff here is always friendly and remember us when we visit the store. My fiancé bought my engagement ring and eight months later they remembered him when we went in to buy our wedding bands. When my fiancé’s ring came in and did not fit, we got a replacement that day that was in our possession until a new ring came in. As an additional bonus, the store will clean rings for free, even if you did not purchase the ring at Helzberg. We will definitely be using them in the future.
