I don’t understand the negative reviews at all. I’ve been ordering from them for at least 6 months. They are always quick, and the delivery guys are very nice. Food is always hot. The real egg rolls are delish, the crab wonton and the steamed dumplings are some of the best. Ive had quite a few different entrees and the food is always consistent. The fried rice actually comes with a lot of meat and egg so not sure why the prior review said it wasn’t good. We order from here once a week. Love it!

Ordered here for two years. Everything was great until I got stale food. It’s obvious when food is prepared ahead of time. Its stale, meat is tough and rice was dry. What a shame I’ve been a customer here for so long and there must be new management or something because they absolutely refuse to admit any problem. I give them two stars for delivery, but sadly this place is not what it used to be. FYI when a customer’s has had a relationship with you for years, you might just benefit in listening to their concerns.

Fast delivery, inexpensive, generous portions of delicious food. We order from here any time we need delivery. It’s usually about $ 25 after tax and tip for dinner for two. And we also have enough leftover for lunch the next day. They have a great deal for dinner that I just found out about — 2 entrees, fried rice, veggie rolls and soup for $ 24. We plan to try that next time. The veggie fried rice has broccoli, mushrooms, mini corn, bean sprouts, egg, water chestnut– it’s loaded with veggies. The sesame chicken is awesome– very saucy and they use chunks of white meat chicken. We’ve also had the pork fried rice and beef with broccoli and those dishes were great as well. Last night was the first time we picked up the food and it’s a very small restaurant. I also wonder if the people who complain about price and portion are not doing take out, maybe the portions are smaller in the restaurant? We noticed a sign that said a service fee is charged if you choose to dine in. If you’re looking for standard Chinese take out favorites for a decent price with delivery and quality that you can rely on, this is the place.

We always get carry out from here and it never disappoints. Nothing special, just good food and fast delivery.

Don’t get the fried rice because it’s literally rice and soy sauce. There’s nothing in there besides that. Also, the fried shrimp was REALLY bad. It’s a shrimp in the shape of an onion ring… but it has A LOT of batter — and it’s not crispy batter… The Mongolian beef is not your typical — usually. mongolian beef has green onions and the beef… this mongolian beef had carrots… and other vegetables. so don’t get it if u’re thinking of the traditional mongolian beef. Otherwise, the beef was very tender. I also got the General Tso shrimp. JUSTAVOIDGETTINGSHRIMPHERE. it was super rubbery because it was overcooked.

Seriously?! This is Chinese food??? Small dishes with over price, and I can’t taste the meat without sauce. If you want to try cheap Chinese food, don’t come! If you want to try great Chinese food, don’t come! This place is totally awful and worst Chinese food I had tried in Houston.

Good Chinese take-out when you don’t feel like leaving home on a Sunday. Never greasy and always quick!

If ya need quick and yummy Chinese food — this is your spot! They’re very fast and the portions are huge and come out piping hot! You can dine it, but I suggest take out or delivery as the indoor atmosphere is kind of awkward. The staff is really nice and if you refer to their paper menu you can get free egg rolls or rangoons — who doesn’t love that?!? I haven’t tried many other similar places in the area but I don’t think I really need to… Hunan Garden is great :)

Beware they will charge you a delivery fee without telling you. We have been ordering from them for years and it has always been order over $ 12 are free delivery. This time they charged $ 2 without letting us know and it is not even printed on their menu. When I called to address the issue the lady told me «this is common sense if you don’t want to order anymore that is fine» then she hung up on me. If I had paid with credit card I would have desputed the charges. I have no problem tipping as I did tip $ 5. I do have a problem with sneaky fees. Not only do they charge you for delivery without telling you they also took longer than an hour to deliver. This is the last time I will ever order from Hunan Garden!

This place used to have the BEST food, but I guess they have changed management. The food sucks now, the prices have went up, while the food quality has gone down. And they a rude delivery guy!

Food here is actually pretty good. My tummy is VERRRRY particular when it comes to Chinese food. I’ve ordered 4 times and I’ve had no issues! General Tso is good, not too spicy. Pork egg rolls are good here too. The bo bo platter comes with 2 spring rolls, 2 bbq pork rib, 2 crab puffs, 2 paper chicken. Everything was good EXCEPT paper chicken. Try it!

I ordered the lunch combination fried rice(comes with soup and egg roll– 6.00), 6 pc wings(4 $), and my personal favorite… Sugar biscuits(10 for 3.50). It was so delicious. It was a ton of food for my money I shared with my dad, brother and boyfriend and we all had more than enough. Just a warning. I chose to have my rice spicy thinking just a little kick. Oh no! It was soooo hot but it didn’t take away the flavor. So next time I’ll get mild(lol) but the wings were good– nice and crispy with just enough seasoning.

Order off of grub hub all the time. Love this place! Very quick delivery and you get huge portions(especially of the fried rice and lo mein). This place has the generic options that every restaurant does, but the food arrives steaming hot which doesn’t always happen with other places.

Need quick delivery to fix your Chinese craving? Then this is a good choice. Food wasn’t overly greasy. Rice was cooked properly(not dry and tasteless like some other places) and portions were on par with the price. I enjoyed the Mapo Tofu, Steamed Dumplings, and General Tso’s Chicken. However I wouldn’t order the Hot & Sour soup again. It was more of a soy sauce soup than a vinegar-based soup.

Great lunch special for the price! Ordered the General Tso’s Chicken to go, came with egg roll and soup… as well as fried rice with the entrée of course… and I chose egg drop soup. I didn’t call ahead because it my first time to eat there but they had my order ready super fast! The two people working there very friendly as well! Food was yummy and I am full!!!

I recently ordered from here using the Eat24 app. It took a little under an hour for them to arrive after placing my order(keep in mind that I live 25 minutes from them). The food arrived piping hot as well. The first item I ordered was the General Tsos chicken. I thought it would need extra sauce but I was wrong; there was plenty in the dish. It was fairy good with hints of jalapeño spice in the sauce. The portion was also large with golfball-sized chunks of white meat chicken. I also ordered the Hot and Sour soup. For a small size, the portion was large and quite surprising. I was slightly disappointed though as the soup had a faint alcohol(almost rubbing alcohol) taste to it. Still edible though and satisfied my craving.

I enjoyed this lunch. I ordered the lunch special sesame seed chicken, chicken on a stick, and fried dumplings… The dumplings had yummy filling, good sauce, but were barely fried. The chicken on a stick was good, had good flavor. and not too over powering. The sesame seed chicken was very good, I cannot compare it to other places because this was my first time ordering it… but I would order it again. The wonton soup that came with the lunch special was VERY good… two wontons and great broth. The spring roll… crispy and good flavor. I am not a fan of spring rolls but did taste it for sake of the review. Definitely will order again.

Great wings. And great fried rice. Will definitely be grabbing this again. Our order even came with a couple of free egg rolls and those were good too. Everything was crispy when we got it home. I recommend it highly.

My boyfriend and I order Chinese take out pretty often. Hunan left a flyer on or door so we figured we’d give them a try. I was hesitant because of the reviews but I had to know for myself. My bf ordered General Tso chicken — extra spicy and I got sesame chicken. They had a 2 dinner combo special for $ 22.58. We paid an extra $ 1 each for white meat, but it was worth it to me. The won ton soup was way better than the place we usually go to and overall it was a lot cheaper. My boyfriend loved that they gave two little cups of the spicy sauce when he ordered extra spicy. The delivery guy was super sweet and I was really happy with my sesame chicken!!! I do agree the lady who answered isn’t «chickfila happy» but she wasn’t rude either, not to me at least. Oh and the fried dumplings were really good too! We’ll be ordering from them again
