Went back here recently after not having been here for a while. Ordered a large vegan cake the day before by phone, and picked it up the next day for a party — still delicious! Typical yummy Asian-American bakery cake: moist, fluffy, and light white cake, sweet enough but not overly so, with real fruit toppings. Most people probably couldn’t tell that it was vegan! Got some small pineapple cakes(Taiwanese delicacy), dessert buns, and vegetarian-«goose»(cold platter good as appetizer) while I was there too. They have a couple tables where some people were drinking the smoothies they sell, but I’ve never tried their smoothies.

I needed a cake for a birthday celebration and wanted an Asian«fruit cake» since it’s not as sweet as other cakes. I called ahead to see if they had any. They luckily did! This bakery is tucked away inside Dynasty shopping mall. Anyhow, they had one 8 inch cake that was already iced with fruit on top that the cake decorator had just put out and a couple of others that did not have fruit on them yet. He gave me the option of waiting so he could write Happy Birthday on the cake and decorate it with fruit, or getting the pre-decorated one(and put a Happy birthday cake sign in the cake so I wouldn’t have to wait.) I chose to wait. While waiting, I looked around: it’s a Taiwanese bakery with other baked goods and stuffed breads(ie red bean, custard, etc). Inside their display case, they also have some vegetarian prepared foods as well. Anyhow, I did not have to wait long and the cake was done. The cake was well decorated, fresh and reasonably priced: $ 21.65. I think this place for Asian fruit cake is better(and more reasonably priced) than Jungle Café and Six Ping Bakery.

Hidden in the«mall» of the Dynasty Plaza, Ibun is a nice, cute little Taiwanese bakery that you can find not only your Taiwanese bakery goods like pineapple bread but also various Taiwanese cold dishes including smoked duck. You may not find the best bakery goods ever in this quirky bakery that is decorated like a wedding cake, but you will certainly find authenticity from the cheaply-priced goods here! Walk into the slightly desolated indoor plaza through the glass doors by China Gourmet, and you will see Ibun Bakery as the most energetic and festive-looking shop inside. Ibun has a pretty extensive selection of breads on display and even more in the glass counter, so don’t worry about getting your crave for Taiwanese bakery fulfilled here! For a cheapskate like me, Ibun’s biggest appeal to me was its consistently low price(Each pineapple bread or cheese bread is $ 1) that comes in a nice portion. Give this place a shot! Whether you are looking for a specific item or wants to try new things, Ibun is a cool Taiwanese bakery to check out.

I stopped in today after picking up some covered tea cups in the department store next door. They have several canned drinks available in the fridge, and the number of vegetarian savory dishes that you can eat inside or take to go. I was ecstatic to find they sold dried kumquat. The young lady behind the counter was extremely helpful, getting the bag from the display as it was the last they had. Another surprising find they had was whole wheat raisin bread that they sliced for me for no charge after I rang up.
They have a number of filled pastries savory and sweet, and a good selection of my favorite, moon cakes. I grabbed the taro and red bean walnut. There is a small menu of smoothies and drinks made in house as well, so I decided to try milk tea for the first time. There’s was thankfully not the over sweetened version I heard about.
I really feel the prices are fair as I lived off of Asian market bakeries in college and was charged about the same for a four pack(each about a quarter of the size of their bigger moon cakes, so same amount?) for moon cakes that were shipped in and left on the shelf for who knows how long. Not to mention that after $ 10 they take credit. I don’t think I could go to Dynasty market again without stopping in and getting something to keep me awake during the traffic on the drive home.

Wow~ what a nice bakery shop. My husband and I discovered this place on Sunday, July 2nd while just walking around the Dynasty Plaza. I am so happy to stop by and bought some goodies. Their bakeries are so fresh and not too sweet, and soft texture. The coffee bread is so delicious with my morning coffee(as speaking of, I am eating them with my black coffee). I can’t wait to go back again.

I discovered this place about 2 months ago, I think this is a vegetarian bakery or at the least they sell vegetarian pastries/dishes. It’s hidden inside the Dynasty Plaza. I like it here, It’s clean, the owners/employees are nice. Heck they even remembered me the second time I came even after I highlighted my hair they remembered and complimented me haha, this would be my 3rd time now and I cut my hair a bit short and she still remembers me as the egg tart guy and even suggested the coconut tart.(I prefer my egg though) Pastries, Cakes, Cookies are nice here. Not too sweet, decently stuffed, and the prices are cheaper then other bakeries around $ 1 for pastries and $ 3 for box of cookies, and $ 4 – 5 for cakes? I wonder if they have a wider selection during earlier hours?
