After reading a great review on Houston Press, I was really excited to check this place out. It was a little out of the way, but seemed worth it! We were meeting a friend who used to live in Houston and wanted to try something new out while visiting.
We walked in, and were immediately confused. No hostess, no waitress, no customers. The barkeep was busy serving all 3 of the people at the bar, but finally got to us after about 5 minutes.
She told us we could sit anywhere and she would «explain» the situation. After a few more minutes of waiting, she came by with a handwritten menu of about 10 items and then told us how bad they were. ??? I think her exact quote was they don’t even melt the cheese on the loaded fries.
We ran out, and won’t be returning. No wonder there wasn’t any customers! The waitress herself seemed scared to eat there. I never write reviews, but saw there was none and felt compelled to warn other Houston press readers.
