There was a ROACH cooked into the okra. Legs, eyes, the whole deal. Never Ever Again.

WARNING: If your ordering your Food to go, check your food before you pay. Their food generally tastes good, but yesterday I ordered goat chops several of the pieces barely had meat on them(please see picture). For $ 18.99 an order, that’s unacceptable. I ordered chicken Biriyani($ 10.99) which had 3 pieces of chicken in it — 3! Also ordered a daal fry which tasted burned. It was embarrassing to put that food out for my guests, but of course it was too late to call and do anything about it. For an overall $ 76 meal it was highly disappointing.

I went to Aga’s for lunch this weekend and as always, it was on point! Must haves: Biryani, Goat Chops, Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken. I personally also love their Peshawari Chicken — soooo creamy and delicious! The food is delicious, the service is extraordinary and the environment is so lively and clean!

Their Chicken Tikka Masala was exactly what I’ve been craving, with just the right amount of spice and tomato flavor. Also, we had the Goat Chops Combo and my bf devoured it, and loved the Tikka Masala side that came with it. Service was nice, food was fast. Everything was wonderful, but we got two orders of the Garlic Naan, and while the flavor was on point, I wish it was just a little crispier. Plus, I was not a huge fan of the Mango Lassi drink.

The food was delicious. We had some chicken biryani, goat chops, and some kind of chicken curry dish. We heard about this from a few friends at work and I think it’s definitely my favorite Indian restaurant. I can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes.

Exceptional food, great place to experience Indian food. The spices in the daal was on point very savory and aromatic. The goat was tender and juicy. The pakora was a bit cool, and I wasn’t used to mung bean made in that particular way I thought it was supposed to be fried vegetables, the samosa didn’t get a chance to try cause the main entrees were just too good. The sauces were perfect not watered down. The naan waa light and fluffy. You got complementary fried wonton squares and cucumbers, carrots, onions with dip. I ordered a sugarcane juice which had ginger was tasty. I enjoyed this restaurant and would choose it over royal.

This is my favorite place to grab Indian food in Houston. The service is a bit hit or miss and the menu sometimes has items that they cannot offer on a given day. Otherwise the food is seriously awesome and the prices are pretty average. I’ll return again and again!

The neighborhood is not exactly at the top of the scale, but it also isn’t an area where you would be a participant on the six o’clock news. It’s somewhere in between. I ordered take-out. When I arrived, the staff was friendly, and my order was ready upon my arrival. There was ample parking, and it was easy to get in-and-out of the strip center where Aga’s is located. The food was perfect. It reminds me a lot of the old Savoy from 20 years ago, but also with some much needed improvements. We ordered Karahi Chicken, Hyderabadi Karahi Gosht, Grilled Goat Chops, and rice. Everything was delicious, and prepared exactly the way you want great Pakistani food to be cooked. I am very hopeful that Aga’s will stick to the recipes, and not become commercialized like Savoy. The food is great; not just good, or very good … but great. Only time will tell if they will be our new«go-to» restaurant, but it looks promising so far.

Good clean restaurant. All their non-veg stuff is pretty good and the lamb chops are just amazing. They recently renovated and also really improved their service.

One of my favorite places to go for Indo Pak food. Flavorful dishes, and pretty decent variety. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they don’t always have the full menu available, and sure enough the dish I’m craving isn’t available lol

Very clean environment, the chicken had great spices and flavor! The food does have a kick so watch out if you’re sensitive to spice. Will be coming back for more.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best indo-pak restaurants in all of Texas! With delicious, mouth watering food and their exceptional customer service, I’m proud to say that this restaurant has the BEST food and customer service ever! Agas restaurant is seriously my go to place and believe it or not, I’m there with my family 2 – 3 times a weak LOL I think I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu, and absolutely LOVE everything!!! The waiters are all very nice and respectful. Shoutout to sufiyan Bhai, Zohra and all the other amazing staff there!!! You guys rock!!!

One of the best Indo/Paki restaurant in Houston. 5 stars for goat chops, tikka masala, biryani, grill plate, tawa goat and best naan. I rather say everything in their menu is delicious. Service is awesome with friendly staff and servers with smile on their face unlike at other Indian restaurants near by where they always screaming and yelling at each other rather then taking care of customers! Keep up the good cooking AGA’S

My FAVORITE desi restaurant in town! Been going here for 10+ years, so I have no idea why I haven’t reviewed it before. It’s not in a super nice area of town nor is it beautifully decorated. The décor is pretty awful actually, lots of shiny vinyl. BUT it’s clean, the service is always good & the food is AMAZING. Over the years my family has tried basically the whole menu and there hasn’t been anything we haven’t liked. That being said, there are definitely some favorites! My favorite dish EVER is the chicken hara masala(haryali chicken) curry. My parents love the goat chops and the Aga’s gosht masala. Hyderabadi gosht is good too. I also love their Bihari Kabab and hari chicken boti. Their daal makhni is amazing(order the daal and rice separately because you get a larger potion than the daal chawaal option). The naan, raita and chutneys are always delicious. Overall, everything on the menu is good. The people who work there are super nice and helpful. Especially the ladies at the front counter, they are happy to make suggestions and help you out. Don’t let the shady area fool you, this is the place for the BEST desi food in Houston!

A good friend suggested this as a top spot for chicken tikka masala and it did not disappoint. So creamy with just the right amount of spice. Nice open and clean restaurant. Great service and very fast with our food. The surprise of the night were the goat chops. If you come here you must try them. Charcoal grilled, tender and so flavorful. We ordered the Kulfi for dessert. It was very nice, especially if your tastes run away from overly sweet desserts.

Service seems pretty awkward here. I had to wait to say each item i wanted as he wrote it down. I came to the register both times and they told me to have a seat anywhere and it would become full service. We ended up paying at the register up front(i hate when i dont know this so i hope someone appreciates this.). The goat chops are SO good. they are well seasoned and my friend who thought itd be stringy and not good was very impressed. I normally have to ask him how the food was but with this he just said it on his own accord and mentioned it a couple times while eating it. The samosas were good and i would recommend getting the vegetable one(its like indian spiced potatoes inside of a pastry shell) The naan is very good and the bullet naan(just garlic naan with jalepenos) went well with my chicken tikka masala. My friend tried the masala as well with naan and was very impressed. to me it tastes likes an indian tomato bisque. The spice buildup on everything can take a firey toll on your mouth if you eat a lot. but everything here is really good. I will be back since its near my work. GETTHEGOATCHOPS. Your hands will smell like spices for a long time afterwards but it is well worth it.

Grilled Goat Chops? More like Grilled G.O.A.T. Chops. Aga’s restaurants is located in a strip mall right off of Hwy59 in Houston. The area might be a slight bit sketchy, but Aga’s itself is large and spacious. The seating is divided into two havles, each with numerous booths and group area seating. Aga’s tends to be crowded late evening(like 9pm and later), in typical desi fashion. The restaurant itself tends to cater to a more desi taste(as you can probably tell when you walk in and 90% of the customers are Indian /Pakistani). Be aware of this — Aga’s is not your typical Indo-pak restaurant. The food will be a bit hotter, more generous in spices, and maybe a bit more oily. In terms of the menu, there’s a large variety of options. After 10 years of visiting Aga’s, I’ve worked my way down the menu, and almost always order 1 order of grilled goat chops and a butter naan. It’s simply divine. The goat is extremely tender and generously seasoned. It falls off the bone, and is grilled to perfection. Just the right amount of juicy and sizzling. The naan lives up to the extremely high expectations set by the goat chops. Now the downsides of Aga’s are that while the Goat Chops and Naan are amazing, there are very few items on the menu that are of the same caliber. The biryani is up there, along with the kadai gosht, but things seemingly fall off after that. Additionally, service can take a long time when the place gets crowded. Overall, excellent value in the amount and quality of food you get.
