It is so beautiful here. I’m surprised that someone only recently started a Unilocal location for it. There are so many places to take cute scenic photos. The garden is a bit smaller compared to japanese gardens in other cities, but it still has plenty of space. Coming here mid August, I could feel the heat and humidity. I forgot to bring some water and that was the worst idea ever! It gets really hot during this time of year; so I don’t recommend coming out until it gets cooler. I definitely like strolling around here and will be coming back in a few months when it’s not so hot.

I took a stroll at this Japanese Garden yesterday. It was incredibly peaceful. I was impressed with how quiet it was because there were quite a few people there. The garden is very well kept. There is a small waterfall, many flowers, a small river. It’s a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back.

How has no one reviewed the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park? It’s listed in travel brochure guides. Come on Houston, this one is right in your space! Great place to cool off and relax in the shade. Lots of people here today as its Houston Japan Festival. Nice pond, fountain, bridges and fujidana. Yasuragi. Enjoyed watching a tea festival and while this has obviously been here for decades it appears to be a replica of one in or near Kyoto Japan. More on that later. Do you want to step outside of Houston and for a moment feel like you are in Japan(well except for that one tall building you can see?) ~ This is it. Japan in Houston. Lovely place. A must see.
