I have been to many-a-JC Penny and I found this one very clean and orderly. Even with the current construction work, everything was still clean. I went in one day looking for a small espresso pot(the kind that sits on the stove), and although they did not have one, the salesperson took the time to walk through the kitchen area with us to make sure they did not sell one. My second visit was to pick up an online order in Customer Service at the back of the store. There was only one clerk who was helping a client, but when a floor salesperson saw me waiting, she promptly attended to me and helped deliver my online order to me. All in all, as far as JC Penny stores go, the staff was friendly, although not as friendly as I have found in other stores, and this location is the cleanest and most orderly that I have seen.

I hate this place… no sense of urgency… was moved around to several registers trying to pickup my online purchase because there was a line and then all I got was attitude.

Just popped in to pick up a gift card, on the way to a birthday party. It seems that you have to take your goods to the wall of cashiers at the front of the store to pay, not like in a bigger store where you can pay at an open register within the departments. This is a crowded mess!

I usually find something when I come into this particular JCP. Pretty clean, neat, and tidy shelves and displays. Only problem I have is with checkout with my coupons. I found out today that the survey coupon that’s included on your receipt cannot be combined with the 20⁄15 percentage discount that the store usually offers(BTW – JCP takes mobile coupons). Disappointing. They use to take a number of coupons for one transaction back in the day. However, I do know that anything I buy at JCP will LAST!!! Their clothes have such longevity and quality. You cannot beat it! Plus the new mini checkout counters for credit and debit purchases have gotten me out of long train lines of waiting. BTW: Join the free JCP rewards program. I’ve gotten at least 2 $ 10 coupons this year to spend in the store. I don’t buy a bunch of things, so it’s really surprising to get these certificates. I’m sure it’s all a ploy to get me to buy more, but it’s nice to receive it anyway.

NOT a family friendly environment. A floor manager here blatantly harassed a breastfeeding mother, driving her to leave the store in tears. Not only was this disgusting behavior on the manager’s part, but it was illegal. Breastfeeding rights are protected in the United States, and that includes Texas. Shame on you, JC Penney!

I realize that there is zero department store competition in that area for Penney’s but DAMN! They MUST be going through an identity crisis thinking they are Neiman Marcus! Prices at this store are totally outrageous. I only purchased some bedding there that was on sale and it was still too expensive. The employees were friendly and one young lady helped me carry some bags to my car but she said it was only to get away from her Hitler Youth Manager! I remarked on his overzealous flair on his badge but the remark was miles above his head-in the stratosphere! The only thing that really set the store apart is the Sephora department inside the store! This town definitely needs a beautification project! I hope better merchants and shopping choices are coming in the near future.
