John Alterations

Loved John! He altered my daughter Lauren’s wedding dress, veil, rehearsal dinner dress and all the flower girls’ dresses. He did an awesome job on everything. It was convenient and he knows what he is doing. Everything fit PERFECT on my wedding day. Thank you so much John!

$ 100 + tax for three pieces of casual clothing to be tailored. Jesus Christ. I was in shock when I paid. There’s no way taking in the waist of regular fabric should ever cost this much money.

Horrible experience — I wanted the waist loosened on a pair of newly purchased slacks, but instead of doing so, they shortened the pant leg to the point that it was high-​watering above my ankles… how does a business make that kind of mistake. Make sure you communicate with John to the fullest degree on exactly what you want altered and when your garment will be ready for pick-​up. After coming here for 5 years, I am seriously considering another alterations place.

I got my Winnie Couture wedding dress altered here and he did an amazing job! He knew exactly where it needed to be fixed in the bodice and even knew the sweetheart needed to be adjusted after the sides were brought in. He was also cheaper than another place I priced with a 5pt bustle instead of the 3 that they wanted to do. I was very comfortable with him and he was one of the nicest people I worked with during the entire wedding process. THANK YOU!

The location is convenient, the parking is plentiful, and service is great! Yay, I’ve found a place to go for alterations!
I have always seen this place when I’m going somewhere in this shopping center and kept telling myself that I should take my clothes here since it’s a lot more convenient than going to the mall each time, so finally I did and I now go here for my alterations.
The hours during the week don’t usually work with my schedule since I’m never home before 6pm but the fact that they are open on Saturdays until 6pm works with me.
They do offer same day service but I usually don’t expect it on a Saturday especially if I there are quite a bit of people looking for alterations or if I look in the back room and only see about 2 tailors working, but that’s just me. John is usually there and granted he does forget names every so often, he still greets you with a smile and holds conversations with you about daily things in life. It doesn’t feel like a hurry up, try on your clothes, mark them and get out kind of place which I have experienced before in other alteration places. The price is average. I had 4 pant suits altered plus 2 pairs of jeans and the price came out to about 70 bucks.
The main thing with this place is the location, the parking situation and the service is usually pretty good.
