Finally tried this spot after living in the area for 2 years now. I give him 5 stars. It’s what you expect. Just DONOT underestimate the hot sauce. I slathered it all over my corn and it was hard finishing it(but I did). Way too spicy but that’s my own fault.

This place is the business! They use a full roasted corn in one small cup! $ 3 but totally worth the money.

This is the ONLY reason I come to fiesta. As soon as you pull up you can smell the corn being roasted. It always looks and tastes fresh, there are plenty of condiments to choose from and are always stocked. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never been disappointed. The only down side are the lines, people order so much and it’s totally understandable. Definitely worth the wait!!!

I’ve been going to see Mr Jose for 20 plus years to eat his roasted corn! True street food here in Houston! I’ll go here any day of the week!!!

Fresh roasted corn, either by the cup or on the cob, with all the toppings you could need for 3 dollars, and they have great nachos and snow cones too

I went by here a couple of weeks ago. It is located right next to the Fiesta at Willowbrook in a white trailer. I ordered a cup of corn and then proceeded to put toppings on it that included butter and a little sour cream. The corn is freshly prepared in front of you by having the corn separated from the husk into your cup. Very simple operation. I thought the corn was hot and good. The toppings I used were good too. Also the entire cup is very filling. It will kill your appetite so don’t let it ruin your lunch or dinner by eating here soon before a meal. I see many 4 and 5 star reviews for this place. Perhaps my dining tastes are different than many of my fellow reviewers. I rate my experience a 3. It was A-OK. Perhaps I would have liked it more had I used different toppings. I would not hesitate to return for another snack or to try their snow cones.

BESTELOTE, hands down. Jose is the only person running the truck outside of Fiesta and does an excellent job! My favorite thing(aside from how cheap it is) is being able to put on the toppings for your corn yourself. The fact that this is roasted corn and not the kind that comes in cans makes it so much more memorable and special. The nachos are super good too!

BYFARTHEBESTCORN in a cup or cob in the city! There’s always a small line but trust me when I tell you it’s worth the wait! I’m Hispanic so I know what good corn is, and this corn is the bizzzomb! No can corn or boiled corn in a crockpot here, it’s all off the roaster and oooh so sweet and natural! This man has all races in line for his corn… Asians, Black, Middle Eastern, White, Indian, Latin etc and has been doing it for 20 years now at that location. All the fixins’ are there for you and you prepare your own corn, no limits. BEWARE of the hot sauce like people mentioned in other reviews bc it really is SUPERHOT so just put a little if you’re kinda of the weak sauce type. Enjoy if you go, you definitely won’t regret it.

Hidden off to the side of the Fiesta is a this pot of gold! Fabulous freshly roasted corn cut off the cob as you order. A stack of condiments await… The other reviews are spot on with the stuff in the bottle as it is spicy! mayo and limes are bountiful and the icing on this corn cake is the the ability to add a snow cone :)

Amazing! Great fresh corn either in a cup or you can request that Jose leave it on the cob. $ 3 for a small/$ 6 for a large cup or fresh roasted corn with all the fixings you could want is a great deal. The salsa in the squeeze bottle is very spicy so be careful and add a little bit to start and then go from there if you want more. The little trailer is on the right side of fiesta kind of hidden but you’ll find it by the line of people waiting. I tried a piña colada raspado and that was the best raspado I’ve ever had! The ice was shaved thin and was very fluffy. I saw that they shave it on the spot. They store large blocks of ice in the ice container near the trailer. CASHONLY! There’s an ATM in Fiesta or you can buy a pack of gum or a drink and get cash back to avoid the ATM fee.

This is the best elote in the city! The corn is actually roasted on the cob(not out of a can) and they put all the fixins out so that you can add the cheesey, mayoey, buttery goodness yourself. I wish they were closer to my house, though my waistline is thankful. We also ordered a cherry raspa(Sno Cone) which was the perfect compliment to the elote! Great experience and can’t wait to go back!

Definitely worth 5 stars! I like that you are able to put as much or as little of the condiments as you want. Options include: Mayo Sour cream Season all Salt Pepper Chile powder — medium and hot Limes I love you can squeeze as many limes as you want since most places give you like one slice and it usually doesn’t have any juice. I’ll definitely be back! Super excited to find this place :)

I mean its just corn on the cob steamed/roasted …mixed with some seasoning… routine stuff… what’s so different about it? well this thought passed through my head before heading over to Jose’s at my friend’s request. little did i know that the time you take to roast the corn and how its roasted makes a big difference in the taste, texture and flavor quotient of the end product. (I somehow feel like a Food Network host now… lol…darn! i missed out on using the word subtle somewhere. ha) But honestly this corn was different. i would suggest folks to taste the corn plain before adding any condiments to get an idea of what I’m referring to. DO Not try to be a hero and add too much of that chille powder onto your corn. beware it shall hurt you the day and the next… if u know what im talking abt. lol and if you accidentally do add extra chilli like i did, douse that fire with one of the raspas/snow cones… Piña colada was not bad… not too sweet and no artificial coloring… cash only beaches

Best roasted corn in a cup. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years(since I was 6 years old). I’ve had roasted corn/elote/ezquites at dozens of places and Jose’s Roasted Corn Reigns supreme. I’ve also been to Mexico 5+ times and Jose still does it better(and he knows it too). This man has a high standard for his craft and has mastered it. If I were to ever leave Houston, this would be among my top 3 things I’d miss(the other two being family & friends)!

Jose’s has the best elote I’ve ever had. He roasts the corn fresh and slices the kernels off by hand. This makes the sweet corn kernels have a more vibrant flavor and crisp bite to them unlike other soggy elotes I’ve had in the past. Also, you get to dress up your elote however you want with the usual accoutrements. Like extra butter, extra chile, extra limon — load it up as much as you want. Awesome! Jose you are my favorite elote man in the world. I will be back soon, maybe tonight.

Perfect corn. This is the epitome of a hole in the wall food truck that knows how to specialize in something. Really affordable, simple and delicious. Has plenty of topping options including: butter, sour cream, mayo, lemon salt(amazing), salt, pepper, cayenne, lime, and parmesan. Small cups are $ 3 and Large cups are $ 6 Tip: Go easy on the hot sauce.

Corn so good! I like the fact that Jose actually cuts the corn fresh when you order. He has all the toppings out so you decided what you want on it. Be careful of the hot sauce in the squirt bottle though! It’s pretty hot! And that’s coming from someone that loves spicy! He’s located right next to Fiesta, near the Dollar store.

I love elote. Like I really really love elote! I’ve been wanting to try Jose’s for a while but I could never justify going all the way there from Katy. Luckily I was in the neighborhood recently and I was able to try it. I almost left because it was about 9:30 pm and I was looking for a stand alone food truck. I thought maybe Jose went home early. In fact, it’s kind of attached to the Fiesta on the right corner of the building. So I was able to stave off disappointment. The elote itself is fantastic. I like that you can add the toppings as you like. The corn itself had a nice roasted flavor. I added a lot of chili powder, mayo, a little crema, and parmesan and stood there for about 5 minutes adjusting it until it was perfect. I’m sure Jose wanted to know what the hell was wrong with me. When I was finally done, it was amazing! Everything I imagined it would be. Yes I’m super dramatic about elote. My only teeny tiny complaint is that instead of parmesan I would have preferred queso blanco, maybe even cotija. No big deal though.
