A little mix of thus and that not cheap but not too pricy. Wish it was on my side of town

Why is there a line of people here whenever I go to the Willowbrook Mall food court? I’m convinced that people are kinda nuts!
This place is a Chinese buffet masquerading as a Cajun grill!!! I should have backed out when the Blackened Chicken didn’t look anything, remotely like the menu photo. Instead of slices of blackened chicken breast, the chicken was spotted with black pepper and it was the same chopped up pieces of chicken that you would find in any Chinese buffet. I was going to get green beans (because that’s what was on the options for sides), but I noticed that they were the same waxy looking string beans you see at… all together now… any Chinese buffet. I added some fried rice, since my Cajun mean was already looking like takeout from a what? A Chinese buffet!

Kelly’s Cajun Grill is one of your typical Chinese assembly-​line places located inside West Oaks Mall food court. I love these joints usually; it’s definitely not the best food, but you can get 2 or 3 entrees and a couple of sides for under $ 10. At Kelly’s I ordered General Chicken (my standard go-​to dish), Spicy Cajun Chicken, and fried rice.
The food was, to put it simply, inedible. After one bite of each of the three dishes, I thought, ‘it can’t actually be THAT bad,’ so I tried each again. Yup, it was that bad. The rice managed to be crunchy and mushy at the same time (not an easy feat!), and tasted slightly rancid. The two chicken dishes were way too sweet and had heavy Tabasco overtones. It was just terrible all the way around.
