Krispen

I’ve been in Krispen numerous times. Most recently because our interior designer suggested we take a look for some accessories. While some of the merchandise is nice, it’s frankly overpriced. I’m not typically very cost conscious, but I still have a hard time swallowing $ 900 for a decorative pillow. However, that’s not what really gets me about this store. It’s the awful customer service. Some of the sales people and especially the old lady who owns the store are just plain rude. I’ve never really experienced anything like it. We were well dressed, pulling up in a nice car, etc. I’ve only seen things like this in the movies! I told our designer I refuse to buy anything there on principle. Oh, and no returns. So better make sure you like it before you take it out of the store. There are equally nice, if not better places to shop, where they really like their customers.

The dresser hunt continues… we were directed to Krispen’s by another shop, however, as with every other place we visited, it is much more home décor and gifts than anything else. However, it is a beautiful store with many little areas to explore full of pillows, vases, fancy scents and soaps, linens, serveware, artwork, and some smaller furniture pieces.
I would say the style is very eclectic with some Asian influence, some more modern animal print, and some antiques. You really have to go to see if they have anything that matches your style/​vision. I don’t think you can get an accurate feel from the website.

I really like Krispen’s. It is not always the easiest to navigate but it has a lot there and is great for home design, entertaining and gifts. The customer service is pretty good as well and the people who work there are very helpful in helping you choose design items (just ask) — and taking them home for a trial. I have several items from the store and, often, when someone comments on something that is different and unique in my home, it is from here.
It does have a lot of nooks and crannies so take your time — it is not that place to rush through in a hurry.
But I wish they would fix their parking area. It is that gravel that always gets into your shoes.
