They’re pleasant enough — no one is extremely excited to work there, but they’re not rude either. They got the job done kwik like promised, but there’s really nothing exceptional about the service here.

I’ve been here a couple times now. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. I work downtown and can get here, get my oil changed, grab a bite nearby and get back to work in an hour. That’s amazing!

Good for a quick oil change. The workers seem to hate their jobs here. Service is very crappy. I know I’m going for an oil change, but goodness you can smile a little cant you! I asked for an inspection and showed my insurance card on my phone and I they said they needed a paper copy. Huh?! They told me I can fax it in… its 2015 people. Now I don’t know if this is a kwik kar policy or some legal issue, but what I do know is that it makes no sense. Regardless there are plenty of other places where you can get your oil changed with better service.

These guys are awesome and such gentlemen! I came for an inspection sticker at lunch time and it took no time at all. Very friendly and awesome customer service! I will definitely be back in the future.

Stopped in for an oil change and fluid check. I checked to make sure that they do check the fluid levels on my car and had them change the oil. They did not ask what kind of oil i wanted and i had to ask the elderly man at the desk what kind of oil they used because i wanted to make sure it was SM grade or higher as to not void my warranty. The guy at the front desk asked the mechanic to come back to talk with me he asked me what kind of oil i wanted and i said something sm or higher for my warranty. As i was talking the guy at the front desk said «for goodness sakes lady we are giving you the correct oil». I thought this was extremely rude. I am just wondering what kind oil they are putting in my car. The mechanic himself was very nice and even showed me a promo for the oil that i chose but the guy at the front was very rude. The good was that they were quick in the service.

Stopped in for an oil change today and I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly I was in and out! I originally headed to the Firestone down the street, but once I saw how busy they were and not a single parking spot, I turned around and stopped at Kwik Kar!!! It was my first time there and the staff was very friendly! I enjoyed chatting with the young lady behind the counter, she was very courteous. I couldn’t believe I was only there for 10 mins! My interior was vacuumed, oil changed, washer fluid added, and tire pressure checked! Best $ 40 I’ve ever spent on and oil change!

I came here on a Saturday morning around 10:30. It’s close to my home and office with a friendly staff. I was in and out in 20 minutes. No complaints here!

I have had two cars inspected here in two weeks, and am impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the team. Oh, and they are «kwik»! Highly satisfied!

The service may be quick, but these guys are not knowledgeable at all — there seems to be more emphasis on speed than quality. I brought my car in first for an oil change and because my coolant light came on — they just did the routine oil change and topped off my coolant, but didn’t really dig deep to see if anything further was wrong. They also grossly over-​inflated my tires — the PSI is supposed to be 38 and they filled it up to almost 50!!! My coolant light then came on again a month after bringing it in the first time. This time they topped it off again and said they couldn’t see a leak, but said something ridiculous like evaporation may be the cause of the coolant levels continually going down. They even did my inspection at the time and supposedly didn’t find anything wrong. My coolant light came on again a 3^rd time a few weeks after that, so I took it to a different mechanic who clearly showed me there was a leak… blurgh.

Went in today for oil change and check engine light the mechanic Paul N showed me great customer service. I will definitely be back for more car service.

The only redeeming thing about my oil change here was that it was quick. Whoever did the work on the car put the ring back on backwards. The next place I took it for an oil change had to spend an extra hour of labor to get the ring off and spare the cap from breaking and needing to be replaced. That, and the condescending way that I was spoken to (yeah, I’m a female taking a car in for maintenance, you don’t need to talk to me like a child) means I’m never coming back here.

I hate, and I mean HATE wasting time during the day getting an oil change! I was slightly over my miles and ran in here to see if I could make an appointment — before I could say anything, my car was being drained, windows being washed, vacuumed, and topped off with Mobile 1 Synthetic! 15 minutes tops — awesome!

My daughter took her car for inspection and they were rude and not helpful at all. I was a loyal customer for years but will not be returning again.

This is the only place i ever bring my suv to get an oil change. I always go during the weekday and its always super fast. Plus you get a few dollars off for going in on a weekday. The staff is always happy and friendly. The first time I came i asked for the filter and washer to confirm that they replaced it (i stood at the window and stalked lol). They def replaced it! And they didnt even give me a weird look about it. From that point forward, they have always been my go to for oil change. It makes it easier on my part bc i use synthetic oil so all my info is in the system. I still remind them everytime, just bc im OCD about people doing their job right. But they have always done an excellent job.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Do not come in on a Saturday and expect speedy service. Called a day early to get a quote for front brake pad repair. They quoted me at 45 mins and said they had the part in stock for my make and model on Sat morning. This was perfect since I had plans to drive to Dallas at 1 pm on Saturday, and I wanted to make sure my brakes were in tip top shape. However, I received shoddy service/​work from Kwik Kar, I could never reach the shop for an update, and I ended up receiving my car 5 hours later.
I dropped off my car a little before 10:30 and left my phone number. When they did not call within 45 minutes, I started to get a little worried. I called right around the 2 hour mark and there was no answer. I called again, and yet again, no answer. Since it was after the 2 hour window, well after the originally quoted 45 mins, I figured the car would be ready. We get there and the mechanic says they are waiting on the part. Evidently the owner of the shop was on his way to get the part from the part shop. Not sure why we were lied to the day before, evidently they did not have the part that was needed.
We were told that it would be another hour before they would get the part and fix it up. So, I took an über back to my apartment and after an hour I called the shop again. There was no answer. I waited a few minutes and called back, again no answer. After the third call, someone finally picked up and said that the part had not yet been received BUT as soon as they received it, it would only take 15 minutes to put the new pads on. The mechanic assures me that the part is going to be delivered in the next 5 minutes and that my car will be ready within 20.
When I arrive at the shop, to my dismay, the part has still not arrived. Furthermore, I saw all of the mechanics sitting outside not doing anything. This might be the reason that the phone goes unanswered so much of the time, nobody is inside manning the phones.
The part FINALLY arrives, and it takes the mechanic no time at all to put the pads on and lower my car. Make note that this is 5 hours after I dropped off my car, when I was originally quoted at 45 minutes and no longer than 2 hours. The total was about ~$ 50 for the brake pads and then close to $ 90 for 1 hour of labor. I honestly believe had I not been following my car so closely, they would have tried to charge me for more than 1 hour, even though the total time actually spent on my vehicle was less than 30 minutes.
All in all, a terrible experience with Kwik Kar. They are neither quick or courteous, do yourself a favor and take your brake job to another shop.

BEWARE THIS SHOP!!!
I went there for an oil change that cost me $ 1200. After getting my oil changed there that took about 15 minutes i came to find out that while i was not looking my car was ransacked and i was taken for about $ 1100 out of my glove box. Furthermore there was no one there that knew how to use the camera system and nothing has been done about this atrocity since. The only thing i got out of this entire experience was a major personal loss and a piece of paper with a case number from the HPD.

They get 5 starts for quick.
They get 5 stars for courteous (other than what follows here.).
They get zero stars for playing the «have you had your power steering flushed, ’cause it isnt clear» game. It wasn’t dirty. Play that crap on someone who is ignorant and make your money. If fact, don’t play that crap on anyone. That was discourteous, if that is a word. I was PO’d that they tried that on me. RRRRRRRRR.

It somewhat boggles the mind that a business claiming to specialize, among other things, in Texas vehicle inspections hires employees who lack the most basic understanding of how a headlight system functions — and refuse to even consider the fact that they’re wrong — but that was exactly my experience at Kwik Kar yesterday.
My car, a somewhat older BMW, needed its annual inspection. Having just had it fully serviced a month earlier, I knew there was nothing wrong with it. Imagine my surprise when, right AFTER paying for a vehicle inspection, I was told my car didn’t pass, for the sole reason that my high beams were «broken.»
(To go off on a bit of a technical tangent: BMWs typically have two front lights on each side of the vehicle. The outside lights are the primary ones, and operate in both normal and high-​beam mode. The inside lights are secondary; they act as daytime running lights, if you choose to keep them on – I don’t, personally, since Texas is sunny the vast majority of the time during daylight hours — as well as «bi-​xenon» lights in selected models. Bi-​xenons expand the overall area covered by high beams, but they are optional and under no circumstances mandated by law. My particular vehicle does not have the bi-​xenon option.)
Anyway, the inspector — who was clearly unfamiliar with Texas code regarding high-​beam requirements — said I failed but was welcome to come back and try again after getting my lights «fixed,» presumably for another $ 40 charge. I realized immediately that the inspector was in the wrong, and brought him over to physically show him that my high-​beams on the outside lights worked perfectly. Didn’t work. He further claimed I had to be wrong because they happened to have a different BMW model in the bay at the time — one equipped with the aforementioned bi-​xenons — and since *its* inner lights had high beams, then mine must clearly be «broken.»
Since obviously there was nothing I could do to «fix» a nonexistent problem, I simply left and went to an inspection place in the Heights; their technicians were as shocked as I was that my inspection failed for a non-​reason. They concluded, as have I, that it was likely some sort of scam, and issued me a new inspection sticker post-​haste; they were actually apologetic that I had to pay a second time for inspection when I had done absolutely nothing wrong.
The interesting irony here is the fact that Kwik Kar has an old newspaper article posted on the wall of their waiting area discussing how «honest» they are as a business. I think it’s safe to say the article is either fake or woefully outdated.
