Lane Bryant

I have to say that I am totally enamored with this location. The store is huge, spacious and well organized; so many other locations I have visited over the years always seem to be disheveled.
The employees are super helpful and ready to assist you finding exactly what you need & even making suggestions as well. Every time I have gone, they are quick to inform me that there’s a sale going on & what the sale entails.
One of the other things I like about this location is that they aren’t hounding you all over the store while you browse; they actually greet you and give you space to browse around in peace.
I also like the parking here because there always seems to be a spot readily available near the store itself, and there is usually a guard driving around quite frequently.

This is the best Lane Bryant I’ve been to. The service is usually a 4 or a 5+ depending on the day. I’ve met the manager & she is darling and real. Her staff, save one young lady, fantastic. Not only do they help you maximize your coupons but offer really good suggestions on ensembles. Of all the LB, this is the one to visit.

i wear 44DDD. they have no bras without underwire. underwire digs into most fat womens skin so I don’t know why they don’t carry any anymore. they do specialize in fat womens clothes and undies:-(

Last Saturday, I went to Intimacy in the Galleria to get a free bra fitting. I also wrote a review on that, but a friend who had done both swore up and down that Lane Bryant was the better option. I did both on the same day.
I have never shopped at Lane Bryant before, but I drove down to Meyerland and was immediately greeted by a very friendly employee. I told her that I had a friend who swore I needed to be here to get a bra fitting. I didn’t tell her that I had just been fitted because I wanted to see what numbers the measuring tape way would lead to. I did tell her what size I was currently wearing.
Because I don’t want to put my bra size on the internet what I will say is that while both employees seemed knowledgeable, nice and helpful, the employee at Lane Bryant had an idea in her head of what my size was and it was a cup size difference from Intimacy. I didn’t think much about this, and I bought two bras at Lane Bryant at the size she told me.
They were having a sale, buy one get one half off, so I purchased two.
I was happy enough with the bra, the service, etc. However after having worn one of the bras for a normal business day I am going to have to return the one I haven’t worn. The size is wrong, and after an 8 hour day it was painfully uncomfortable.
I can’t say anything about the clothing selections or sizes, but overall the bra fitting and options were a lot better than I would have found at Target, or most department stores. I should however have gone with the bra size from Intimacy.

Lane Bryant’s are tricky. Many of them I really can’t stand because they are either overpriced or full of rude employees.
This location was different. First of all, I love that they have a cacique department here. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s the lingerie, undergarments and bathing suits. It’s essentially like Victoria Secret for us bigger gals.
The employees here were really nice. I usually can’t stand the Lane Bryant employees because they are no where to be found or really pushy. Not at this location though. They were funny and joked with my husband and me, and they let me put things on hold for 24 hours so I could go home and get my coupon.
I don’t always shop at Lane Bryant because it is pricy but this is only one I will venture to shop at!

Lane Bryant is a woman’s clothing store for sizer 14 – 28. This particular location is in the back of the Meyerland shopping area. It’s been updated and expanded. They have two sides to the store, on the left is clothing and on the right is intimate apparel made by Cacique. It is all one store though.
I really don’t like their clothing, the material is cheap and the colors are tacky. They do sometimes have t-​shirts or other basic items that are decent. On this trip I was able to pick up two night shirts and some other basic items. I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get into a dressing room. There are 6 dressing rooms but the staff had two of them packed full of boxes. The line for the dressing rooms was at least 5 people long by the time I got into one. It seems that their use of space needs to be rethought out.
The Cacique side of the store carries bras and other under garments up to size 48 DDD or larger in some cases. They do have a variety of items in larger sizes that are attractive. As far as quality, the intimate apparel is much better than any of the clothing.
Unfortunately, because i very rarely shop at Lane Bryant, I didn’t have any coupons. The company does mail out coupons periodically and they can be quite good. It’s really the only way to make sense of shopping there because the quality is so cheap. On the day I was there, they were promoting ‘buy one bra get a second ½ off’. This is the usual sale I see each time.
Overall the experience is not one I enjoyed or want to repeat. The staff was nice enough but who wants to wait 10 minutes for dressing room when two rooms are taken up by boxes? The clothing quality has definitely gone down over the years.
As a plus sized woman, there are more and more options out there. Don’t settle for junky clothing, you can do better. For bras, they aren’t bad and worth a look.
