So… The website does not do this gem of a restaurant justice. Nestled in a residential neighborhood the place is really family first. The food was solid with good portions, healthy and fruit on all the kids meals. If your looking for a true family place to grab a bite there is none better. Like I said, the food was pretty good… on a Friday night with five kids It’s not Trulucks or Oceannaire but its good and much much cheaper. James, the GM is wonderful, the service of the entire staff. impeccable, and the family fun environment. nailed it. iPads everywhere, arcade style games in the back, and ice cream, candy and icees for the kids. We were there 2 hours while me and the wife actually afforded the time to talk while the kids entertained themselves. Good stuff James!!! Keep it up!

We were at the childrens museum at closing time and looking to postpone our drive back to Galveston(traffic was bad). So after doing so knline searches gor family friendly dinner spots, i chose Little Matt’s. Within 5 min of walking in I was handed a mararita. Nice touch to take the edge off of being at the museum all afternoon. Kid meals are $ 7 and my kids cleaned their plates(burgers with fried and fresh fruit) so they could rush over to play on the ipads. Not an ideal family bonding experience over dinner but relaxing anyway! My enchilada was tasty.

We love this place! it’s a hidden little gem in the middle of West U with some of the friendliest people working there. James is one of the nicest general managers I’ve ever met and one of the hardest working. the food comes out in a timely manner it is always fresh a delicious. our kids get to run around and have a great time with all the other kids playing in the back. they get to stay entertained while the adults conversate and visit. This is one of the most family friendly restaurants I’ve been to and I can’t ever think of when I have had a bad time. Thank you James you’re always so hospitable.

We bring all our friends from out of town who have kids here. The food doesn’t disappoint and there is plenty to keep the kiddos entertained. The service is always great and it’s nice to grab a snow cone on the way out.

Great food, cool atmosphere. Their sweet mission and backstory is posted on their wall, adding to the atmosphere. We all enjoyed the burgers, fries, and salads.

The food is really good. I had a taco bowl(without tortilla), it was very tasty and light. Nice atmosphere and also a patio to enjoy more.

I really enjoy this place for lunch! The food is worth 5 stars, but the service can sometimes be a bit slow. I will say that the managers always seem eager to get things moving along when the line bogs down. I prefer to sit on the back patio which is usually pretty open. My favorite item so far is the Chinese Chicken Salad. It is different than most with some of the best dressing I’ve ever tasted. Their Tex-Mex items are good and the burgers/sandwiches are great! Oh, and you can also get an ICEE!!! Yes, please! Be aware this this is a popular place for the teenage crowd, especially at lunch, as there is a school right next door.

How did I not know about this place! Yummy food with lighter fare options and a FREE wine or margarita for parents while kids play the iPads or arcade. It’s an arcade room, not a full size arcade. Bring some cash for a tip/donation-they donate proceeds to families @Texas Children’s hospital whose kids are fighting cancer. Bring quarters-sometimes the change machine is broken and quarters only accepted. And they have a huge candy bar and ice cream station. Cute outdoor patio. Little kids, tweens, and parent approved. It’s KIDANDDOGFRIENDLY! Great clean eating and picky eater options! Kids meal $ 7 and adult meals range from $ 10-$ 15. Casual.

I had the privilege of dining here recently(was invited by a friend) prior to a Children’s Museum outing and surprisingly, I throughly enjoyed it! The vibe was fantastic — love the«mommy margaritas!» At least that’s what I dubbed them. From the moment we stepped in the door — beginning to end it was great. The ordering was fast — even the food coming out!” Pleasing since we went on a Sunday and it was somewhat busy. My only complaint would be the chicken tenders. They weren’t to my satisfaction, but my kids devoured them — so I guess that’s what counts… They had a bit of a sweet taste, which was a little weird to me, but hey — they weren’t for me… The food was reasonably priced too! I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and it was quite tasty. I don’t usually finish a meal, but I did that one! The iPads/tablets on the walls are a neat addition to the restaurant. Although I didn’t get to experience it, there’s a game room/arcade in the house too… lets just say, my toddlers were well entertained with my friends’ kids and I actually got to enjoy my meal, albeit if only for once! That’s a major plus in my book. Overall such a great vibe and a very quaint place. We will definitely be returning — so glad we took the chance!!!

Just had our 9 year old’s birthday party there. We had the three tables on the back patio. Turned out great, we were out of the way of the regular patrons. The kids played in the video game room and we had a piñata– perfect! The restaurant was very accommodating and the food tasted delicious and was out with perfect timing! Thanks for everything Little Matt’s!

Absolutely LOVE this place! This is one of the best kid-friendly restaurants that I’ve been to. And the fact that they honor parents in their own special way(not telling — you’ll have to just go check it out for yourself) has won me over. Our family has vowed to come here at least once a month to support this awesome place. Did I mention that they donate some of their proceeds to a charitable cause? Yeah, Little Matt’s is a winner in my book. Support them please!

I was looking for a family friendly place to have dinner and stumbled across Little Matt’s among Houston’s Best Family Restaurants according to Houston Press. We were blown away. Great burgers, our one year old dug the fries and free cocktails for parents. Part of all proceeds go to charity and the owners are hands on and extremely personable. #amazing #win #neighborhoodGEM. Do not pass go. Visit often.

I was having a lazy day out and about and I realized I hadn’t eaten yet. A friend and I were texting about the joy and wonder if the French fry and I thought to myself… hey self! Go get some yummy foods! You deserve it! So my yoga pants and I decided to Unilocal for burgers and it led us to Little Matt’s. The menu was posted on the wall and seemed simple enough so I ordered a cheese burger(come with fries) and chocolate shake and moseyed my way to share a table with a nice older gent reading a book. Within less than 10 minutes my burger and shake were ready and I was in heaven. The burger, though not thick(which is ok), was nice and juicy and the cheese was good and melty. The fries were seasoned and the shake was cold. Classic tunes were playing on the speakers. I really couldn’t ask for more. They have outdoor seating AND a little arcade which looks like a good time. I could definitely see this being my go to good burger place. Thanks Little Matt’s!!!

The venue is amazing. If you have kids it is one of the best places in Houston to take them. For adults they have great burgers, salads and drinks. Free margaritas is the bomb! The Santa Barbera was delicious and the little Matt’s taco salad looked amazing.

Just discovered this place by chance and I have to say it’s one of the best family burger joints I’ve been to. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the enormous display and selection of candy. This place puts the 7 eleven candy isle to shame and had all my girlfriend’s(certified candy junkie) favorites including the biggest sized Air Head package commercially and legally available. The burger was perfectly cooked and came with plenty of fresh fixings and a deli soft toasted bun. The fries were homemade, cooked perfectly and came with a side of yummy housemaid ketchup. I also have to mention the perfectly mixed soda that had the perfect amount of co2 and syrup. This place has small town charm and an attention to detail often overlooked by similar establishments. I can’t wait to come back.
