Went there this past Saturday for the crawfish, they there spicy and flavorful you can’t beat 4 lbs for 20 bucks and they have craft beer on tap, Ashley our waitress was nice, lets just say she got a well deserved tip, going back soon

Food is no better than decent, nice little oasis on an otherwise bleak, industrial highway. Service is ok save for the below comments. Won gift certificates at my kid’s fundraiser last spring. Went here three times to burn $ 200 in vouchers. Each time, we were met with a high degree of push back in getting them redeemed. The first time, it took 25 minutes for the waitress to get a manager on the phone to process. That was a little too long, honestly. The last two times, we were told that the manager who issued them is no longer working there and for that reason, they wouldn’t honor the certs. Nice guys! Real nice. My wife and I got irate and both times, they reluctantly agreed to honor the deals. If we pay for these things, we’re going to expect you to honor them. I still had $ 58 left on them, but opted to let them expire at the end of 2015. No more. No more hassles. I’m through with this dumper. If you don’t want to honor vouchers, don’t issue them. Real simple.

My husband stops here for breakfast 2 – 3 days a week says its better than franks grill and cheaper, so if your looking for a good inexpensive breakfast try live oak.

Love this place! Great place to chill on the patio and watch the game and drink a few cold ones!

I was traveling and looking for local fare. This place was perfect. A huge outdoor patio. Looks like they have live music often. I got great oysters and amazing crayfish. I will go back here if I’m ever in town again.

The food and drinks were good but our server was what really made the experience for us! We went on a monday night so I wasn’t expecting too much but our server Amy was so fun and attentive! She did a great job suggesting food and drinks and just made it an over all great experience. The cheesy chorizo dip was so yum! We will definitely be coming back again and hopefully Amy will be working!

From the outside, this looks like a good choice. Booze is booze, their beer selection is limited. Service can be good. Can be slow. Don’t order any food unless you like cheap slop. Some do, I don’t. Go for average drinks, nice outdoor setting, foof, eat before you go unless you like cheap Chinese buffets.

I had a bar tab of $ 44, but learned overnight by the credit card company they falsified my tab to read $ 644. Of course the credit card company refused the charge because of prior falsified reports against the bar. I will never set foot in that bar again. Those that read this, take this review as a warning.

The food is ok, nothing to rave about but it’s nice to sit outside under the live oaks and a nice breeze. Music was decent but the service pretty much sucks here, not even crowded and the order just kept getting screwed up and to add insult to injury they have the audacity to add 18% tip for 4 adults, one teenager and two toddlers knowing how much she screwed up! Waiters/waitresses were not so attentive, came here for the crawfish and left slightly disappointed. Dry rub for crawfish is not my favorite but I come here because Live Oak provides a «above all» dry rub. This last revisit was extremely salty and waitress was not as attentive. If I’m going to get crawfish, I’m getting takeout.

This seems like a great place to wind down after work and maybe it is for some but this wasn’t my experience. Service. Victoria waited on us. We had to flag her down for everything… refills, to take our order, and yes, even to pay our bill. I arrived before the rest of my party. She seemed attentive when I was alone. After that, she did not check on us once and was constantly no place to be found. Food. We had a chopped BBQ potato. It wasn’t good. The BBQ sauce was way too vinegary spoiling the potato. Atmosphere. The other patrons seemed to enjoy this place so I’ll just say it’s not the place for me. The deck is large and inviting even though we sat inside.(To muggy out for our taste) I won’t be returning.

Down home Southern hospitality and fun atmosphere. Go to enjoy the big outdoor patio under massive oak trees. The menu is diverse w/fajitas, seafood, kabobs, bbq, sandwiches, and typical bar food. The food won’t knock your socks off but my husband and I are suckers for patios. Throw in live music and a nice breeze and the food is secondary in my opinion. Inside the restaurant is cozy w/lots of history.

I haven’t reviewed in a while, but I have to say we love this place. Especially during crawfish season. I love the atmosphere and location. Today, we had a waitress, Mary Catherine. She was the BOMB! She’s new, and I hope she stays. Very attentive and is on it! Everyone is good, but I think she’ll be a very good addition to the team. Thanks Mary C!

I really like this place– there’s lots of seating options(tables, couches, or under the umbrellas on the porch outside) and the food is above average. I recommend the gyro sandwich, beef/steak quesadillas, or sweet potato fries. Pricing on most food and drinks is a good deal. Multiple TVs to watch whatever sports you like. Wednesday evenings usually have some interesting«open mic» performers. 4⁄5 stars!

We have given this bar 3 chances 1 crawfish was advertised and they were out– turn off your sign 2 music way to loud, good for a concert not for your dinner 3 we arrived at 7. Our waitress was never around, still don’t have food at 9 When we told the manager we had been there for an hour, and only got one beer when more were ordered, he said there was nothing he could do. 1 of three orders came out 2 hours, and it was the wrong sandwich. People were coming and going by the time our group and the one next to us was treated the same. The manager was terrible, did not mitigate the situation, and the waitress was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. 2 hours is ridiculous. If you take my advice and don’t ever come here, you would be a smart person!

Came here with a group of friends and had no idea how many entrances there were. The place was definitely different and had a variety of rooms to dine in. We were in the main room with the bar which was nice and they had a great juke box! The tables were sticky. The waitress was extremely friendly tho and was very helpful. The food was pretty good as well. We got the sampler.

Live Oak is alright. My coworkers & I go to sit outside under the beautiful oak tree on nice days and enjoy lunch, but we frequently order take-out because they have a fairly diverse moderately priced menu. Most entrees are in the $ 8 – 12 range, and beers are $ 3 for domestics, $ 4 for imports. I’ve stuck the the gyro, which is good despite the weirdly thick tzatziki sauce. I accidentally ordered the gyro plate once, which came with tons of meat and 4 quarters of a pita(kinda awkward). The salads look great and are gigantic. The baked potatoes are tasty, but roughly the size of a small child, so plan on leftovers or overeating. There’s a seafood menu, but this just doesn’t feel like a place I’d expect great seafood out of… There is tons of outdoor seating, which is good since the indoor seating all smells like bathroom. :( The service is super friendly, but the kitchen can get quite slow around lunchtime.

Very large patio, set around a HUGE oak tree. Lots of outdoor seating, in a shady relaxed environment. My first time here, and I ordered the cheddar burger with sweet potato fries. My friends ordered pounds and pounds of crawfish… They were huge too! My burger came out late, and the waiter admitted she forgot about it and ordered it after the crawfish came out. It also came out with reg fries instead of sweet potato. A few mistakes, and kinda annoying since I was with my baby girl and we were starving… Lots of frustration while trying to keep a 1 yr old busy! I may be back. It’s very casual, kinda slow moving, during lunch at least.

Pass by this place constantly & it just never seemed like a joint I’d like. Well my mind was changed last week when my office came here for lunch to celebrate Admin. Assist. week. Walking up the 1st thing I noticed was that awesome patio they have. I love me some good outdoor seating! Large trees covering the majority of the space gives great shade. They even have fans attached to the trees & it looks like there are misters attached as well. We were greeted & seated quickly. Forget our server’s name but he was great! Plenty of options on the menu & prices are reasonable. Our group ordered everything from fried pickles, cheese sticks, wings, different chicken salads, burgers & I went for the fish tacos. That lil yellow crawfish flag kept taunting me & a few others at the table while we were waiting. But we’re at work… w/a conservative group… crawfish? Our waiter overheard some comments about Blue Water & other spots we liked & dared us to try Live Oak’s. At 1st I said pass, but then he had the nerve to say they stack up to Blue &LA’s!!! The 4 of us gasped & then I could do nothing but say«BRINGIT»!! Ok. I gotta tip my hat. The crawfish were delish! They had heat, but more importantly had flavor. Not just salt + cayenne. I could tell they’d been purged & were fresh. Not an old dying sack or a mix of frozen + fresh as I’ve experienced at some spots. All were happy with their orders & I work w/some extremely picky folks. I tried a few fried pickles & they were good. My fish tacos were yummy & at $ 8 for 3 + rice, not a bad deal. The SW Chicken Salad was a fave out of the group too. As for the bugs… Better than BW, LA’s or Capt.‘s? IDK yet. We only ordered 1 lb to share as a taste test. They were $ 7.99/lb that day, but waiter told us about a $ 305lb bucket deal + HH all day Sunday. So you bet your sweet arze I’ll be back to give it a real run… I mean ya can’t have bugs w/o some cold ones! :-P
