I used Longhorn Landscape for my yard maintenance for several years. They were quite pricey compared to others, but the team they sent out did a pretty decent job. They have another crew that does more specialty work, such as flower beds, mulch, trimming, etc. I discontinued their maintenance service a couple of years ago as I was in between work and didn’t need the extra expense. Recently, I emailed the owner, Lisa Laird, to ask if she would be interested in doing some work for me… not maintenance, but a one-time bit of clean-up work in my gardens. I received a rather terse reply letting me know that she would have to inspect the work first before offering a price. I responded that was fine, and gave her a variety of options on date/time. No response back. I emailed a third time, no response. I tried calling their business phone, and no answer… and no answering machine to leave a message. Obviously, I’m done with trying to give my business to someone who obviously doesn’t want it. I’ve seen recent posts on other ratings sites that seem to indicate they’re not know for their customer service. If you’re looking for a company that cares about you, and about customer service, I’d steer clear of this one.

The woman representing this company gave me a dirty look and then slammed her car door out of frustration. I would say that, we all have our bad days, but to act like a child throwing a tantrum, makes me wonder what kind of people are running the show at this business. Needless to say the company then refused to return a phone call and has shown little interest in fostering a positive costumer/client relationship. They must not be hurting for money, so I guess they are doing something right, somewhere. It just wasn’t here.
