Friendly, Clean, and Affordable. I look forward to coming back often.

Wednesday is ‘kids eat free’ night with an adult meal. We took our son tonight and easily shared the adult meal, while he ate a kids meal free! The staff here is always friendly and the food is always consistent. Tomorrow I will be picking up a holiday meal for the firemen and they always make it extra special for them.

Just went in for thanksgiving diner and it was not good. The only thing good was the sweet tea. The salt shakers were disgusting. I open two because I couldn’t get any salt and they were plunged and rusty.

So glad they are open till 8 on Thanksgiving! It’s gonna be an ol’ fashioned cafeteria Thanksgiving this year. Stuffin-n-gravy, here we come!

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! A friend of mine treated me out to a thanksgiving lunch and we decided to check out Luby’s since it was one of the only places that was actually open. I’ve been to many Luby’s locations before and for the most part everything is the same from picking out your salad at the very beginning of the food line, followed by your entrée, sides and veggies. The reason for my two-star rating on this location was because of the lack of customer attention and focus. My waitress, I believe her name was Lashonda or something like that– she was initially pleasant. She took our trays and laid out the food we have picked up. I didn’t have a full plate yet, I was missing my entrée. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak but they didn’t have any so a fresh one had to be fried. That chicken fried steak never made it to my table. In fact, there was a number I was assigned to claim my steak but the waitress never even asked me what I was waiting on which seemed odd. Several minutes pass by and my waitress passes my table a dozen times without saying a word or if I needed anything. The fact that the order number was still sitting on my table clearly tells you I’m waiting on something. She never really came back. I got up and took my friends receipt to the manager and had them remove my meal from the bill. I explained to the manager my issue and he was very empathetic about the situation and offered to whip me up a new meal and send me home with dessert. Unfortunately that wasn’t good enough for me, and I lost my appetite. I declined his offer and simply requested a refund. He quickly processed the refund and issued me cash. Not sure why my waitress never came back, it’s thanksgiving so she was still tipped. It wasn’t deserved.

I love this Luby’s. I feel comfortable going here by myself, or with family and friends. There is plenty of parking, and their lunch is always hot and fresh. Today I had the liver and onions. I can’t cook it as well as they do. And no one else at my house wants to eat it either, so there’s that.

Walked in at 7:50 p.m. the hours are open till 8 p.m. on Saturday nights. the staff was already breaking down the serving area. So don’t get there late even if its 10 minutes before they close. I had to leave. …

This place continues its downward spiral. The place is falling apart. Today’s issue is no clean glasses while I stand in a line that isn’t moving. I motion to the lady behind the counter and she nods and smiles but does nothing about getting more glasses. The cashier left his post to get some. There are other places to eat and I am going to find them. The manager doesn’t answer emails either.

I had the most amazing service today with Bonnie. Not that there is anything wrong with working at Luby’s but this guy had better etiquette and manners than when I go to upscale restaurants. He treated everyone the same, went the extra mile for everyone around me. He was so good I chased him down to find out his name for this review. The service was so good I will go back just to have him wait on me and I will gladly show my appreciation with a handsome tip. This man is a real go getter!

Great food for most of the time. definitely a family favorite. HOWEVER, would skip this location if you do not like poor service! Definitely Not a family favorite when feel you have to keep asking for your food at the serving line then get served with a side of Attitude! Next time I’ll skip this location.

Pros: Ample parking Not crowded on a Friday at 530pm Good service from table waitress Hot, delicious food Great selection of desserts Large tables and roomy booths Excellent pricing(two full meals with bread, drink and dessert for $ 27!) Cons: Buffet line staff wasn’t super friendly Location is inconvenient to turn into off Waugh We were starving and look over and see Luby’s. We pulled in not sure what to expect. Overall my husband and I had a great dinner at Luby’s this past Friday. Parking was ample, staff efficient, food delicious. We will be back!

Went In to buy a pie. No one around at the counter. Asked workers if I could buy one. They said I had to preorder. They didn’t even bother to check if thee were any. What a stupid way to run a business. Turn away a customer willing to purchase something!

I grew up eating Lubys and so far this location is the best one. When we have a family gathering we always leave our«local» Lubys and travel to this one. 1st. They’re never packed(Guessing Cause the Area) 2nd. The food is always warm and ready(Similar to Lil Caesars) 3rd. The customer service is perfect(Smile and Serve) Keep it up!

I’ve eaten at Luby’s across the city and I must admit this has definitely been one of my best dining experiences with them to-date. It was late(an hour before closing time) so I was concerned that food options would appear dried up and stale. Not the case at all! Salads, entrees, and sides looked fresh and well tended. I selected a grilled pork chop with grilled onions and gravy, rice, green beans, a garden salad, and a dinner roll. Everything was served temperature appropriate and fresh looking. The pork chop was divine! Although a carnal sin of dining, I’m sure I licked my fingers a time or two after abandoning my steak knife for a more primative hands-on approach. The chop was THAT good and tender. Food and service makes this Lubys deserving of a return visit. And Ethan(my dining attendant) was awesome!

I grew up eating at Luby’s. The food is consistent across locations. Major plus. I have never been disappointed by the food. I introduced my husband to this place a couple of months ago. He thinks it’s a winner too.

Ok, yeah that’s 4 stars you see for Luby’s! I hadn’t been here since I was a little girl when my parents frequented this place. But after a sit-down restaurant told our party of 17 that it’d be a 2 hour wait(as opposed to just a few minutes when I called), we had very limited options. Luby’s it is! Everyone was able to get what they wanted, no wait for the food and great service! I ordered a full meal, and had leftovers, a lot of them. They didn’t mind that we had 4 crazy kiddos running around, our server even brought over balloons for them! I am ashamed to say I judged friends before who would tell me they ate at Luby’s or wanted to go there. No more of that. I’ll proudly choose Luby’s now!

Good marks on being open on holidays like Thanksgiving. Bad marks for not having the cart ladies anymore and having waiters instead that work for tips after you get to your table. Food is more expensive than the Luby’s at Baylor CM. For example, a veggie plate cost $ 4 at Baylor and $ 6 here for the same portions. More options but many of the veggie sides are cooked with meat since we are in the South. Food is tasty regardless but that may be the meat talking.

This is my first time at a Luby’s. The store is clean and the service was decent. The problem I have is that all the food was terrible. Almost nothing was fresh, the food was very bland, and the rolls and cornbread were hard. This really was not a good first time experience at a new place.

Our solid go to meal when we absolutely cannot think of a restaurant to eat at for dinner or lunch. Food is always great. I would definitely recommend going during lunch time when it’s busy though. The food is more fresh and the selection is also greater since there are more patrons. Luby’s4Lyfe.

Um, Luby’s is awesome. Anyone who disagrees is lying. How could you not love hearty cafeteria cuisine? And I gotta admit it’s about the sides. We did a major carb-loading fest: mashed potatoes, gravies, mac ‘n’ cheese, jalapeño corn bread. The place was relatively empty during a late lunch, so if you work in RO or The ‘Tros, you can bank on a fast, hot meal … with Jell-O!
