Maids for Texas

I HAD been using this comany since last November. They started out doing an acceptable good job but as months pasted I would notice that things just were not getting cleaned. The first time I complained it was over the lack of dusting in the bedrooms/​cleaning in the bathrooms and the kitchen island had not been wiped down (you could see food debris as plain as day). I was told it would not happen again. A few months went by — now they are not mopping the kitchen and bathroom floors. I left a spot of liquid laundry detergent on the laundry room floor just to see if they were mopping — and it was NOT in a hidden area. Guess what? They never touched the floor! I compalined again — was assured they’d do better. So 2 weeks ago I come in from a weekS trip to notice another shocker. They did not dust a single stick of furniture in the master bedroom. They never unload the dishwasher as stated in the contract that they would. So I fired them. 3 strikes your out ladies! I was paying this company 80.00 a week! That’s 320.00 a month guys! That’s a car payment if we want to put it in perspective!
Here’s what really upset me: My daughter, who is away at college taking summer courses, just drove in and asked if the maids were coming Friday. I told her I let them go. Her response was «Good, they were rude to me.» She walked in while they were cleaning and apologized over having 1 suitcase in the floor and asked if she was in their way. One maid said «Yes.» She asked «Where should I go?» Her response was «Anyplace but here!»
Excuse me??? That is OUR home! Maid 4 Texas is there to provide a service in a friendly manner. Number 1: They provide a service but its not a good one. Number 2: They were anything BUT friendly. Incredibly rude!
My guess is that they were used to making an ATTEMPT to clean my home while occupants were at work/​school and did not like the feeling of being monitored. Sounds to me like they don’t like their jobs and have developed a poor attitude towards their clients. Those 2 maids need to be fired. I cannot believe I recommended this company to friends of ours at the beginning of the year.
Maid 4 Texas: I see a pattern with my service experience and other clients reviews: You do an acceptable/​marginal job in the beginning then each time you drop in it gets worse — and in my case you make your client feel unwelcome in their own home!!!

I never received a response to my initial, and polite, feedback that the service was less than stellar. A few weeks later, I received an email marketing message from them extolling the virtues of their service. I sent them another copy of my original feedback, mentioning that I had used their service and wasn’t satisfied. The only response I received was a lackluster apology for the spam and a confirmation that they would remove my name from their lists.

I used this Maid 4 Texas for a couple months. At first it was alright. The people did an ok job, although not incredibly thorough. They also come at highly varying times. I requested around 2pm when I first set up the service, but they’ve come as early as 12 and as late as 4:30. A really big problem came when I had some issues with my work schedule.
Both my fiancée and I have busy work schedules, so at one point, we had to reschedule the day of our service. I apologized for this and realized it was very inconvenient for them.
A couple weeks later, the maids came again and didn’t clean one of the rooms they were supposed to, which was really annoying.
Then for the next scheduled visit. the maids supposedly came around 2 pm. My fiancée was in the house waiting. She didn’t hear a knock (even if they did our dog would have barked his head off) or the doorbell. I called a bit later to tell them my phone number had changed. The lady on the other end said that they would have to switch me to on-​call (meaning I have to schedule each time and they charge more) because the maids had come but no one was home.
So basically. this company provides average service when they do come. The time they come doesn’t match your requested schedule, they are not forgiving of people with busy schedules (I have to assume that’s their target market), and they lie when they screw up.
