This is the worst McAlister’s I’ve ever been to. Do not come here. There’s a reason it’s almost empty during prime dinner hours. Do not order to go from here. They won’t label anything or get you your food on time. I normally love McAlister’s but my office will never be ordering from this one again.

Bad version of Jason’s deli, the good thing is kids eat free on Sunday. Place was empty, and all the tables dirty.

some cool sandwich choices just a bit pricey though.

Food is good as always but service is excruciatingly SLOW! Everything from the time you enter in the line to order till you receive your food is slow… I am never going to this branch ever again!

McAlister’s is a chain I really respect for equally good quality food and service at all of their locations. This stop is no different. There is a queue line to the order counter as you walk in, but this location never seems to be too busy. The counter service is friendly and the menu is straight forward. I get the same thing every time. Half McAlister’s Club with cup of creamy potato soup. Once you order, they give you a number and your drink to let you find a table. The club is great! The honey mustard at McAlister’s is my favorite. The soup is always hot and flavorful. I always order with a sweet tea. They give you a big plastic cup full of tea and will refill at the counter before you leave as well.

Everything I’ve ordered from here has been WONDERFUL. Love the mac and cheese! I often just do a lunch pickup and every employee I’ve encountered has been very friendly with great customer service

Soup and sandwich joint. Good food at good prices. Hot sandwiches, clubs, spuds and salads. «Choose Two» is a great deal. I get the sandwich and soup, but you can also get two half-salads, sandwiches, or spuds if you like. It appears that the chain was started at Olé Miss, and the menu features regional cuisine with melted cheese, gravy, and muffulettas. Regular deli items are also offered. MDs menu and nutritional information are available online. We arrived at the Willowbrook location around 11:45 and the place was not busy. Shortly thereafter, the lunch crowd started coming in. I like gravy and do not enjoy dry food. I ordered a half of the«big nasty» sandwich… partly because of the name, but mostly because the roast beef sandwich came with gravy on top. It was delicious(although my wife thinks anything doused in gravy is gross). The cup of tortilla chicken soup that I ordered with the«choose two» was also tasty. A small portion of tortilla chips was included with the meal. Other Unilocal reviews are right on about the tea at McAllister’s. The unsweetened tea was very good. They do send folks around to offer drink refills, which I liked. Service was good, neither too quick nor too slow. I prefer Jason’s Deli with their salad bar, but MD is a good place for a quick bite.

Not worth your time. Both mine and the girlfriend’s food were pretty gross. Soggy bread on both of ours, and mine, a roast beef with cheddar and horseradish, was surprisingly bland. Pasta salad was the best part, but even that was just your basic pasta salad. Décor was pretty cool, and the service was friendly. Other than that, though, we didn’t find much to come back for.

Great place for a quick great tasting lunch. I usually get the pick 2 for $ 6.99. You can choose half portions of a starter, salad, spud, sandwich or a cup of soup. I got half a Cobb Sandwich and a cup of broccoli cheese soup. I recommend the tea. Sweet or unsweetened it’s a good cup of tea. Very friendly staff and well made and quick service. I won’t say it is the best I have ever had but it is always good food.

We had two spuds and they were both cold in the middle. Maybe that was why we were the only two customers in the restaurant.

I’m a huge fan of McAlister’s…it offers quick, fresh and healthy lunch options in a sea of nasty fast food. The even have a «light» menu that suggests healthy lunch choices that shows calories for each option so you can make smart choices. My friend loves their iced tea and raves about it!

A dime of a deli, that McAlister’s is. They fly low here concerning the menu but the service is tip-top. Amidst the heavy influx of fast food places in this heavy city, you can find a healthy alternative. The soups make them a competent and viable establishment, among a few other things. Their tea is too sweet for my taste and the sandwiches could be more flavor-induced. Just fine, but not my first choice for soup & sammiches.

It’s an okay pick for a quick sandwich. Nothing about this place is a Delicatessen though. I’m not sure why they call it one. It’s purely a sandwich shop. A bit over priced, $ 9.00 for a cup of soup, side salad, and a drink? C’mon.

First of all, just go here for the sweet tea alone! McAlister’s beats Chick-Fil-A’s, Jason Deli’s, and McDonald’s sweet tea all day long!!! Do yourself a favor and get a large sweet tea(you’ll thank me, I promise). McAlister’s is the perfect place for lunch. They have sandwiches, soups, salads and even any kind of baked potato you can imagine! They make a mean BLT too. Not the best broccoli and cheese soup I’ve ever had. I would choose Panera or Jason Deli’s soup over their’s anyday. And their baked potato soup is only okay. La Madeleine makes much better baked potato soup then they do.

My mother in law uses the groupon for this all the time, so this is always where she wants to meet for lunch. The sandwiches are BIG and pretty good. The nachos are OK, nothing fantastic about them. The sweet tea is definitely sweet without being overly sweet, and the service is fair. They will go around and ask you once in awhile if you want refills, but if you are someone who drinks like there is no tomorrow then you have to get up and get your own, or just go ahead and get the gallon size drink. The soups are good, I like the half portion on things because I don’t eat that much. My husband hasn’t had the Italian sandwich yet, which is a BIG surprise because that’s what he gets EVERYWHERE, so I have nothing to compare it too directly. Its fairly easy for us to get to, so we will defiantly be back again.

Wraps, baked potato, salad, sandwiches all made fresh! I really haven’t had anything bad at this place. I usually get the The Two for $ 6.49 deal. Probably the best bargain anywhere in Houston. You can choose any half sandwich, soup, salad, half panini or half wrap. Unlimited refill on iced tea. I recommend mixing the sweet and the unsweetened tea because the sweetened tea is a little too sweet. I always get fast and friendly service here.

fail. i actually usually like McAlister’s too. the pot roast spud used to be my favorite. not anymore… it feels really artificial and not hearty like i remember. the two for 6.49 menu: you can choose any sandwich, soup, salad, panini or wrap. the portions are small(or non-fat people sized). no chicken noodle soup either. boo. the sweet tea is good though — although i ordered it separately and the cashier almost had an aneursym. well when i crave a deli, it’ll probably be Jason’s. sorry McAlister’s.
