Things have improved since we have moved in — but nothing overly exceptional here. Carpet is old and worn — fridge, washer and dry are old and worn too. Walls are thin and can hear neighbor walking and talking.

From the first time I talked to a leasing agent from this facility, I have had the most help I EVER got the whole entire time of searching for a place to move to. Our leasing agent who helped us when we went to view the property, Letty, was such a honest, caring, great help! She did anything and EVERYTHING she could that would benefit us. Even after we had applied, we decided to continue the search and Villas at Cypresswood was very understanding and still continued to help beyond expectations! After no luck of finding another place that compared to Villas, we made the decision to lease with them. I honestly can say that 100% of that decision was based on such the great customer service these ladies provided us. Even when Letty was unavailable to talk to me on the phone, Rosemary was always pleasant and provided information I needed. I Truly recommend this facility to anyone out there who is searching for a great lovely apartment that makes you feel like you’re in a home! Everything is upgraded, the pool is absolutely gorgeous! And the staff are just simply AWESOME!

I just moved in April 2013 and I love my new place with attached garage. I added the hardwood floors and my place is beautiful. It is quiet and very spacious with all the upgraded amentities you could ask for. The front office are very nice.

We rented an apartment at Villas at Cypresswood from July 2012 to May 2013 after moving to Houston from California. We knew from the beginning this was a temporary stop for us while we figured out our new city and where we wanted to put down roots. Our apartment was a two-bedroom/two-bath, upstairs on a corner, with no garage. This is a large complex with many units, all two story, surrounded on two sides by busy streets and the other two sides by green space. Overall the management and maintenance were great-responsive, timely, kept up with most things well. They also offered some flexible lease options(3,6,9,12 months). However, even when your lease goes to month to month(and you pay a big raise in rent for that), you still have to give 60 days notice, which worked out okay for us since we had a long escrow, but I thought was strange for a month to month lease. Some things about our experience I would like to highlight. 1. Noise: We were in the back of the complex, facing the green space, upstairs, and on a corner. We also had very nice, quiet neighbors, so our noise experience was minimal. However, the rare times I did hear a neighbor let me know the walls were reasonably thin, so with a noisy neighbor or facing the busy street, this could have been very different. Also, I can’t speak to how loud we were to our downstairs neighbor while walking around. There is also other environmental noise from the airport(this didn’t really bother me) and the train. Although the tracks really aren’t that close, the whistle sound carries and this did bother me sometimes(like at 3am). 2. Dogs: This is a dog-friendly apartment complex with no size restrictions, but does have breed restrictions. We had our two small terrier mixes with us and they require a somewhat hefty deposit of $ 500 per dog(2 dog limit). There are«poop bag» stands and grassy areas throughout the complex for walking and picking up after your pet. However, there was also a lot of poop all over the grassy areas in the complex… and maintenance really didn’t keep up with the careless owners who did not pick up after their pets. 3. Green space: I think I would have enjoyed this place a lot less if we weren’t next to the green space-our balcony looked out over it. Also, there was wild life there-we heard coyotes, saw deer, rabbits and armadillos, which I thought was fun. Just something to keep in mind if you are looking here re: the location of your apartment. 4. Move out: Our move out was very easy. We paid to have someone clean the apartment and had not put up any pictures, so it was in great condition when we left. They do require professional carpet cleaning and pet treatment, and we just let them do that themselves and charge us for it. Those were the only things charged and we got most of our deposit back. All in all, I would recommend these apartments but it is all about location, location, location.
