Memories Etc.

I’ll be honest — the main reason I chose to come here was because Unilocal said he was open on Sundays and I just wanted to finally check this off my to-​do list and nowhere else was open. I’m so glad I ended up there!
1. He’s extremely transparent — no hidden fees or worries about him selling you something at a jacked up price. He showed me the frames and mats I chose straight from the catalog so I knew that I was paying exactly what I should be.
2. He’s not pushy — he explained all the different option about regular glass vs clear, dry mount vs none, types of mats, etc. but understood when I chose the budget-​conscious options.
3. Gorgeous products — I went to him to get three pieces framed: one piece of art really important to me that I wanted specially framed with double matting and looking spiffy, and then two posters that I just wanted framed with no frills. They all look absolutely stunning. My walls looks beautiful now!
4. SO FAST — I was expecting two weeks at the earliest, but he said his turnaround would be only a week. He finished in three days! Without sacrificing any quality.
Only recommendation is to call before you go. The sign on his store says appointment only, so I got worried as soon as I drove up and hadn’t called. But he was there and saw me straight away, so I guess I was lucky.
Anyway. He’s a great guy, really helpful, efficient, and really good at what he does. Skip the crowded big stores and go here where he’ll pay attention to you and what you need.

If you need something framed, this is the place to go. Alejandro is great and his works speaks for itself. I got several diplomas framed and he did it in a week for hundreds cheaper than major retail framers. They look beautiful, and it only took a week. Definitely check him out.

Being in the arts, a good framer is a very handy thing to have within reach. Sadly, it is also a pretty expensive necessity. It can devastate a project and you wallet. Ouch.
So Memories etc. is a welcomed find for me. Alejandro Varela is the owner of this shop. He’s set up in a studio behind his home and does great, great work. He is also flexible and eager to make your artwork look the best that it can.
His prices are also designed not to bleed you. As an artist, I greatly appreciate that about Memories etc. and hope that you go see him with your framing needs, so that he has an even longer and even more prosperous career in framing. That way he can continue to be a savior to local artist’s in bad need of his services!
