So good we started off with the crab cakes and we got the mango stuffed chicken which is my all time favorite. Definitely will be back

My new favorite place to eat in Houston. Healthy meals, nice wine selection. Meals are huge and always have leftovers to take home for lunch the next day.

The restaurant was empty tonight other than the two tables who were finishing up when we sat down. So extremely quiet, LOVED IT. My husband and I had a very enjoyable night catching up with each other from today’s work over deliciously prepared meal.

Parking: Large parking lot. Restaurant is in a shopping center so there is a lot of parking spots here.
Time and Day: Came on a Saturday evening at 6:00 PM and it was about 20% full. However, by the time it was 8:00 PM, it was completely full.
Food: I ordered the Mixed Grill Platter ($ 26.00) and the Mango Stuffed Chicken ($ 23.00). For the Mix Grill Platter, it came with Shish Kabob, Shish Tawook & Kufta. All three skewers were delicious. As for the rice, carrots, zucchini, and squash, they didn’t have a strong taste. If you are getting this dish you must be going for the skewers and nothing else on the plate. So this dish gets a ³⁄₅. However, the Mango Stuffed Chicken was amazing. As the name suggests, it is literally chicken stuffed in a mango. The mango is used for the sauce and I am impress because I was skeptical at how mango can be used with chicken. Well this restaurant surprised me. If you are here for the first time, just get the Mango Stuffed Chicken as it gets a solid ⁵⁄₅.
Service: Service was above average here. Was promptly greeted at the door, we told them we reserved a table, and were quickly escorted to it. Waitress checked up on us, refilled water, and was friendly. Service overall gets a ⁴⁄₅.
Price: Little bit pricy here. The Mixed Grill Platter was not worth the $ 26 but the Mango Stuffed Chicken was. When in doubt, go for the Mango Stuffed Chicken as it is worth your money.
Overall: Just come here for the Mango Stuffed Chicken because I can’t stop thinking about it. It was both delicious and unique. Overall, this place gets a ⁵⁄₅.

Ordered the ahi tuna. Was told by the server that if I like rare or medium rare Ahi, I would like this. It’s not as good at medium well or well. No problem, I like it rare, so I ordered it rare and a side of the scalloped potatoes.
The food itself took 45 – 50 minutes to come out. Server apologized and told us it was due to a backup in the kitchen. Odd, everyone around us who came in after us was served before us.
Food finally came. Vegetables were great. Scalloped potatoes were great. The shrimps that came with my tuna were pretty good. The tuna, unfortunately was cooked to at least medium well or well, so way overcooked for what I ordered. Additionally it was covered, covered, covered in sauce. It wasn’t a good or a bad sauce, but there was so much of it covering my overcooked fish.

Entrée’s start at about $ 20, the atmosphere is relaxed but efficient. The food was really well flavored to the point you almost wanted to eat slower just to savor it. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Wrap and I would definitely order it again. The fruit that you had the option to order with it was so fresh and made even more delicious by the combo of which fruit they chose.

On the way out of town — wanted to catch a good place nearby — the reviews looked solid enough. So in we came!
Nice open feel to the restaurant. Good color scheme, nice lines. Maybe a couple of things to break up the space a little would be good. But they are on the right track.
The gratis appetizer — a kind of seasoned pita chip with an oil/“Zata” dipping thing going on — those were so tasty and I really could have just made a meal out of that.
The Unilocal!Reviewers were saying a lot of good things about the Mango Chicken so I followed the crowd — and I am SO glad. What a wonderful meal it was! The chicken breast was tender but had this golden brown crust that was cooked just right. Terrific flavor. The inside was filled with a vegetable based stuffing and the whole thing was drizzled with bits of mango and a mango sauce that added just the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were so well balanced all the way throughout. Just wonderfully done!
Accompanying the chicken were some scalloped potatoes and roasted veggies — carrots and zucchini — which were perfectly cooked and judiciously seasoned.
The portion sizes for me and my friends — all of them were very generous so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth here!

Yikes this place is GOOD. The last time I ate here I kept looking in the kitchen to see what the hell was going on in there. And for the $$, wow, just seriously wow.
I’ve eaten here twice and can’t wait to go back. Everything I’ve had, the tabooli salad, the mixed grill skewers, everything was so damn good and tasty I kept asking myself why they didn’t have a line out the door.
Mixed grill skewer– ordered medium rare. tabooli salad was fresh, crisp, super flavorful… the mixed grill came exactly as ordered and it was delicious. This might be one of my favorite places in Houston.

This place was outstanding! We went here for date night and were highly impressed with the food and atmosphere. It’s really nice and classy with lighted candles on the tables. I had the Spicy Italian Sausage and Shrimp Pasta. The cream was so delicious and tasty!!! The sun-​dried tomatoes added a nice kick to the taste. You can also taste the freshness of the shrimp. Hubby had the Spicy Lamb and Rice. The plate tasted very authentic with high-​quality ingredients. The service was also up to part. I would recommend this place for a date night or special occasion.

I came for dinner and was excited to try since the chicken dishes look so good in the pictures. the appetizer was delicious, and my friends and I couldn’t stop eating. I am not sure what it’s call but it’s tasty.
I ordered the chicken kabob plate, and I asked to try the lemon butter sauce so the waitress got a small portion for me as well. I thought the chicken kabobs were very sweet even with the garlic sauce. I’m not a fan of sweet chicken, but the kabos were moist. However, it goes very well with the lemon butter. I think they should definitely try lemon butter kabobs as it would be really good. The rice was ok, not anything too special.
As for the restaurant and service, it was a classy and nice restaurant. Our waitress did a good job.

This place is freaking fantastic! Portions are HUGE! 2 people can easily share an entrée. First we started off with the almond crusted brie and then I ordered the mango stuffed chicken and my sister ordered the blackened shrimp pasta but substituted chicken apple sausage instead of the shrimp. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the mango stuffed chicken. The flavors are so unique and delicious! The service was great, our waiter was super patient and helpful. I would definitely go back again!

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to, bar none. The waitstaff is on top of things, always refilling drinks without asking, regularly checking without overdoing it, and the food is superior to most places. The chicken is juicy and tender and everything tastes fresh. Their signature dish is the mango stuffed chicken breast and it’s exquisite!
Even their complementary pita chips is a refreshing new twist. I love it here, it’s well worth the money spent.

Let me state from the outset that my overall impression of this restaurant is highly positive. This experience is certainly the exception … but it did occur, and management needs to address it.
On this visit, we were unfortunately seated a few feet from a boisterous, obnoxious and somewhat intoxicated party of about twenty … it certainly affected our enjoyment of the evening. Changing tables wouldn’t have helped, as the group was in the literal center of the dining room. There is private space available … that’s where these folks belonged. Management made no effort to ask them to be a bit more considerate, but since their tab was pretty substantial …
The food (a very eclectic menu) is nicely prepared, well-​seasoned and beautifully presented. Portions are more than ample, and vegetables are very fresh … grilled, too (nice touch). But …
For the first time in at least five years (and we dine out regularly), I had to send back an entrée. I ordered the pork chops, and could have nailed them to the bottoms of my shoes … they were that tough. I immediately knew there would be an issue when I had difficulty cutting one with a steak knife. To his credit, the server whisked the plate away, and my replacement dish (ahi tuna) came relatively quickly. I very much enjoyed it, although I should have been asked how I’d like it cooked. It came a bit more done than I prefer, but was tasty nonetheless. The accompanying shrimp were outstanding.
We’ll likely try Mezza Grille again, but not for a while … and we’ll be certain that there are no large parties dining there when we do. There are plenty of choices, so I’ll be sure to avoid the pork chops next time.

For a $$ place, it sure does taste pretty amazing while filling you up. I’d come back on future special occasions.

I was searching on Unilocal for a place for dinner for valentines day, and found this place with 4 and a half stars. So I thought I would make a reservation online (which was really convenient, by the way) and give it a try with my girlfriend.
Upon arriving, we were promptly and courteously greeted before asking if we had a reservation. We were then seated right away. The place itself is decorated a little better than casual. It’s a place you can come to in a shirt and jeans, but it would be better if you dressed up a bit.
The service was above average. I would have liked a little more attention, but it was also valentines day. For the most part, it was alright. The waiter offered suggestions as well, and gave us popular choices in the restaurant.
The food itself was AMAZING. It was pretty tasty, and the portions size was fairly large. I ordered the popular mango stuffed chicken, while my girlfriend ordered the spicy curry chicken pasta. Both dishes tasted amazing, even though I’m not one for curry or stuffed chicken. I highly recommend giving these a try, but I bet any other dish would both satisfy your taste buds and fill your stomach.
Overall, it’s a great place to visit and try at least once. It serves food nicer than the place looks, and you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Not sure if this place is American, Mediterranean or Italian… but I don’t care, it’s DELICIOUS! $ 17 Entre well worth it! Portions are BIG, food was very well seasoned, and the flavor a were unique.
I got the lemon butter chicken pasta. I was expecting more of a piccata, but it was spicier, tangier and way more satisfying. It came with a lovely fettuccini and grilled veggies. My husband had the chicken Apple sausage pasta topped with Carmelized onions, giving every bite a touch of sweetness. Both sauces were very creamy and sprinkled with spinach and basil.
Don’t let the random strip mall vibe fool you. This is a great date spot! Big bar and cocktail area. Dark ambiance with lots modernish décor. Seriously, I will be dreaming about my lemon butter chicken when I get home!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. It doesn’t matter if you’re going off of the happy hour menu or the large selection of regular dishes, everything is amazing.
The restaurant was renovated last year and their bar area is complete with leather chairs and a happy hour that goes til 7. Omar is the usual waiter — and for $ 6 you get a nice LARGE glass of wine. While the food is awesome, what’s so great about this place is the service. Last night Omar came by the table 5 mn before 7 to ask if we wanted another glass of wine for the happy hour price. I went ahead and he kept the glasses chilled for us until we finished our glasses. Don’t know where else that happens.

Cornish hen. That is all folks!
But seriously, it must be listed first on the menu for a reason. I haven’t tried anything else but that entrée alone deserves a 5 star rating! Definitely recommend this place you won’t regret it!

Overall it was evident that someone takes pride in their cooking and service.
BBQ Chicken Pizza: 5 of 5: Best execution for a pizza I’ve had at a non-​pizza place. Perfectly baked, hot and fresh from the oven using high quality ingredients. Its not fancy and its flavors are nothing new, but its texture, temperature, and consistency really demonstrate an excellent chef/​staff.
Hummus: 5 of 5: I eat a lot of pre-​packaged hummus from HEB, but you could tell this was home-​made. Fresh and delicious.
Service was amazing. Attentive and quick. They packed up our togo and got us our checks fast.

I came here with a friend on a Friday night and got seated quickly. The server was good and friendly.
They have chips with olive oil and herbs as complimentary… and it’s addicting.
Crab cake (⁵⁄₅) — two big pieces and it was flavorful with a small spicy kick to it. Just right:)
Stuffed mango chicken (⁵⁄₅) — this chicken was on point! It’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The stuffing was flavorful and that mango just take it to the next level.
I can’t wait to come back:)
