We ate here after visiting the art museum downtown and it was the best sushi out of a food truck ever! It was busy and we still got great service. I would love to come back and find the truck again to eat more of this!

I’d say this is Korean cuisine with a twist! This food truck has decent food and service. I was excited to try the hot dog but I felt like there was too much bun and could use a little more flavor to mask all the bread. Also, I tried the hot cheetos sushi roll and that was definitely different. The chips were a bit stale for my taste but flavorful. Overall the food was decent and unique.

The Kim Chi Ramen and Hot Mama Fries are a must have if you visit or live in Houston, TX. Don’t shy away your wallet. These two items are priced just right for the flavor profile it carries. The owner and chef are super cool folks as well. Gourmet Ramen in a cup and Asian fusion food items all in a food truck.

The best! Once you have Miso Yummy, it’ll be the only truck you’ll ever need… All of the rolls are excellent, and the ramen is outstanding with thick chunks of chicken and awesome seasoned broth. You should follow on Unilocal, and twitter @MisoYummytruck to follow them around town like I do!

I tried their kimchi ramen. For about $ 8 it’s a pretty sizeable portion with lots of leftover broth to fill you up, perfect for a chilly«winter» night in Houston. The broth was great — flavorful, slightly spicy, with a little sour kick from the kimchi — but the fried pork cutlet was the best part — still crisp and tender and of a good amount. The rest of the bowl was pretty meh, though. The ramen noodles weren’t anything special and didn’t taste like anything really(maybe if they soaked longer in the broth?), they added spinach to it which I thought was odd, the egg is a normal hard boiled egg rather than marinated, and I didn’t have any seaweed in mine. A solid 3 stars and an affordable option for a more filling food truck meal that’s not doused in mayo or completely deep fried.

So tried the food truck park in East Downtown yesterday and had lunch at Miso Yummy. I got the fried pork potstickers and the J Dog. So the potstickers had a nice flavor to them although the standout was the spicy mayo that accompanied as a dipping sauce. Nice balance of creaminess and kick. The J-Dog, which was 100% beef hot dog served in a crusty banh-mi roll topped with sautéed onions and bacon bits and drizzled with some mayo. Little too much bread for my liking but the hot dog and toppings were quite tasty, even more so when I continued to use the spicy mayo as a dipping sauce. I like the fusion of the banh-mi style with the traditional hot dog. Definitely worth going back. Doubt I will get the ramen as they really didn’t call out to me. Couple of others on the mi-dog menu I do want to try and definitely getting more of those potstickers! The Food Truck Park also has a seating area with drinks, including beer and bottled water/sodas. Quite reasonably priced too; whole meal was $ 12

I found out about this place accidentally on fb and we were fans before we even tried it! lol As soon as we heard that they had fried sushi rolls, we knew Miso Yummy was going to be a winner. We headed to the Houston Food Park off of Chartres downtown on a Thursday afternoon and braved the Houston summer heat to see what it was all about. We ordered the egg rolls which were about $ 5 and we got a Seoul Hot roll(about $ 8 bucks) and shrimp tempura that had shrimp, hot Cheetos and melted cheese(also $ 8 bucks). Everything was delicious and especially spicy! Now, spicy food combined with summer heat isn’t a good idea but once we tasted all the flavor, we couldn’t stop, runny noses and all lol Miso Yummy is worth making a trip downtown and having a good lunch, if you’re in the area check it out.

Tried them at the Houston food truck park. Got the hot mama fries($ 7) which I believe have soft shell crab smothered in sriracha and spicy mayo. Also got the Seoul hot roll($ 9) which has shrimp tempura and is rolled in hot cheetoes. Both were really good! The hot cheetoes was definitely an interesting touch.

We roll up on a Friday night relatively early, and grab the tonkotsu ramen and one of the hot dogs, the one with bacon and stuff. The hot dog is delicious. Cooked so that the dog is juicy and full of that meaty hot dog flavor, and the toppings are good, melding into a surpisingly mild creamy flavor, wrapped in a baguette with a nice crispy outside and a soft but pleasantly bready interior. The ramen was pretty disappointing though. We could tell the broth was too thin just by looking — it didn’t have that creamy, fatty, savory, coat-the-inside-of-your-mouth-with-richness, instead coming off as a slightly fortified shoyu broth. The wakame was also not quite right for this broth, and there was a lot of wakame. The noodles lacked any structure and honestly were close to the kind you find in instant cup ramen. The hot dog was a 4, and the ramen was a 1.5. The sushi didn’t really interest me because it was all crab, which might be some sort of health code thing.

Tried them for the first time at Houston Food Park. Got tonkatsu ramen, kimchi ramen, and hot mama fries to go as it was dark and there were no outside seating. The broth was way too salty for me although husband was OK with his. I think when you get stuff to go, they should put the fried chicken pieces in a separate container from the ramen broth so it doesn’t become all soggy when you eat it. Anyway, the noodles in my ramen didn’t have much bite to them and were too soft. Hot mama fries were soggy too, although that may be a takeout problem in general. Giving a 3 star rating to give some benefit of doubt, as some of the problems(sogginess, mushiness) are probably because we got the order to go, but I would say that my rating on the food experience is more like a 2 star. If you try this truck, I would definitely recommend eating everything as soon as you get the order.

Baby, turn around and let me see those hot mama fries go crunch crunch crunch. Spicy jalapeño cheese, why you teasing me? You gonna have stop pleasing me(stop teasing me, I want you) It’s fairly obvious that B2K’s one hit«Bump Bump Bump» was about miso yummy’s hot mama fries, but you know how hip hop prefers to sell sex — so they had to edit their original lyrics. Also tried their pork pot stickers with spicy mayo. So amazingly crunchy! Plus the spicy mayo is creamy alternative to soy sauce. They also do sushi. However it’s more like a mutated form of sushi with fried seafood(shrimp or snow crab), difference cheeses, and EVENCHEETOS. Didn’t get a chance to try it — and I regret that decision fully. That’s not all — they make ramen and hot dogs, which I heard were good too. That’s a solid lineup. But its very difficult to pass up… dem hot mama fries — crispy fries + sriracha + jalepeno cheese + snowcrab + spicy mayo = hot, messy fantasy.

This is by far my favorite food truck in Houston. The food is awesome and the crew is even better. I follow them all over Houston and generally catch up with them Saturday night at the Houston Food Park. My favorite by far is the seaweed crunch. It is suishi with flavors from all over asian masterfully fused into one mass of awesomeness. There are foods I’ve had that make me salivate whenever I think of them. This is one of those dishes. I have tried just about everything on their menu. Their fries are awesome. I love each of their Mi Dawgs. Their is a Mi Dawg for just about everyone’s taste. The ramen is great on those chilly nights. Lunch, dinner, late night, and all over Houston they are worth the trip.

I love this food truck. Food is awesome and the owner and his sidekick are the best. Always a pleasure to eat at their truck. Their Kim Chi Ramen is their signature ramen. That said, it’s unique and tasty. Can’t go wrong with getting that for your first try unless you just know you’re not a noodle/soup fan. If you’re looking for something on the creamy side, their tonkotsu ramen has a smooth, silky, and savory taste! Their Hot Mama Fries are the best in town. Way better than Oh My Gogi Fries crap. They also have these Mi Dawgs which is an American/Asian twist to Vietnamese sandwiches that everyone needs to try. 100% kosher beef inside French bread topped with pure magic! I can go on and on about everything on their menu, but I think it’s best for you to just go and try it and see what all the talk is about!

Miso Yummy was parked at Proof(above Reef) where my friends and I were having a night out, so we decided to give it a try. We must have been really hungry(and tipsy), but the Kimchi Ramen($ 8) we ordered was mouth-watering and delicious. The portion was enough to fill the both of us up, and the broth was yummy with a kick from the kimchi. I’d love to go back and try the ramen again with a clear mind just so I can make sure if I actually liked it or not ;) Until then, I’d recommend the ramen!

I’m not sure where they normally are, but on Friday/Saturday nights, this truck sits upstairs inside Proof, the rooftop lounge above Reef in midtown. They have bright blue/yellow painting, making it impossible to miss. When I went to get food, the line wasn’t very long which was great! My friend and I ordered a Kimchi Ramen(8 $) and it was really, really good. In my opinion, it was better than a lot of the ramen shops in Houston. The kimchi ramen was a little on the spicy side, a bit tangy, and extremely flavorful. They place a lot of fried pork/chicken bites into the ramen also, and I was surprised by how crunchy it tasted for being soaked in soup for 20 minutes. Overall, great food, great staff, will be coming back the next time I’m at proof because I want to try their sushi.

I’m now a regular at My Food Park HTX(@MyfoodparkHTX) which works out well since it’s less than a mile from my house. Today I was fortunate enough to try out the Miso Yummy truck when it was there. I had the Kimchi Fried Chicken Ramen(to go) and it was FANTASTIC. You don’t have to be a Kimchi fanatic to love it — you definitely smell the Kimchi in the broth so it’s not your typical Ramen. However, the taste is Umami amazing with everything in nice balance. Spice level was just right — definitely spicy but not nearly like eating straight Kimchi. The highlight is the fried chicken strips which retain the breading and soak up the broth. The noodles are firm and slightly chewy — this ain’t your 33¢ grocery store Ramen packets. The broth looks like a lot in the large to-go styrofoam cup(About 2⁄3 the size of a Big Gulp cup,) but with the provided plastic ladle, I found I could not stop sampling the soup until it was gone! For a cold December afternoon in Houston, the Miso Yummy truck hit the spot for lunch. I look forward to trying the other Ramen flavor. BTW, to really appreciate Ramen, watch«Ramen Girl» starring the late Brittany Murphy.

They were at my car wash place and I decided to give them a try. We did the kim chee ramen and it was not good. The broth was like water with very little taste and the noodles were similar to a packed noodle. The one good part was the katsu! They should simply make a katsu dish with rice on the side. even better, make a katsu curry. if you’re going to fry up some katsu, you might as well have other dishes that could use it. Maybe if they change their menu, I’ll try them again, but I probably won’t seek them out.

Miso Yummy recently made their debut at the My Food Park HTX and I heard they were one of the few that serves ramen and Asian style hot dogs. Unfortunately I already bought my main course from another food truck so in order to support them, I only ordered their hot mama kimchi fries. The service for the fries is decently fast and the fries is definitely has a spicy kick to it but not too spicy. Over all the fries isn’t as delicious as certain other Asian flavored inspired fries out there, whether from food trucks or from restaurant establishments. The next time they are at My Food Park HTX, I will try their main course foods.

I had this late at night when the truck was parked on top of Proof… I just ate at Tiger Den today and in comparison… these guys in a truck blow the brick and mortar store out of the water. The ramen is great, could be a bag… I have no idea but was great! I believe these noodles were egg noodle and not actually ramen noodles, but the soup and fixins compensated. The additions like the crispy pork skin and the deep fried fresh tonkatsu were great additions. I will find the food truck soon!

I spotted them at Aqua Carwash a few weeks back. I had to do a double take when I saw the word«ramen» on the truck. What?! A ramen food truck in Houston? I finally got to try them today. Unfortunately, their ramen selection is minimal. Today they only had kimchi ramen. So how was it? It was a 3.5 star. The noodle had very similar texture to the packaged ramen from my college days. The broth was good but because it was kimchi, I felt like I was eating Korean casserole(jigae) just with noodles instead of rice. It came with chicken katsu and that was really good! However, I’m used to my ramen served with pork belly. Their rolls and spicy garlic edamame sounds interesting. I wouldn’t mind going back and trying those or whatever other ramen they come up with.
