Momentum West Collision Center

I would not recommend using this collision center. I got into a wreck a month after I moved to Houston and decided that I wanted to take my 3 series to a BMW dealer to have it fixed. BMW is usually really good with service and customer care, but I will have to say that this is one of the most poorly run BMW centers I’ve been to. I got into my accident on 7÷2÷2015 and I didn’t get my car back until 9÷16÷2015, nearly two and a half months without a car!
Cons:
1) They were horrible at keeping me updated about the status of my car. I had to call THEM to check the status each week.
2) They overlooked my car in sending it into the shop for work, which caused a ridiculously longer delay. I don’t even know how that happened and how they can overlook work.
3) The manager who runs the place, gave me a crappy excuse about why they didn’t meet the expected completion date. I drove out to the collision center to speak with him face to face because I was tired of dealing with their crap. He said it was because they were busy and that’s just how it is sometimes. Missing the expected completion date by a couple days is understandable, but missing it by 3 weeks is not!
4) My car broke down a couple days after I finally got it back because the coolant was leaking, and I had to take it to a dealer to get it fixed again. They lagged on fixing my car, and when they finally did, they didn’t even do it properly!
Pros:
1) They provided me with a rental car for a short period of time after they realized they made a mistake and overlooked my car. They were supposed to have started work on my car 7÷28÷2015, but they didn’t start it until 9÷2÷2015!
I would avoid this collision center like the black plague! BMW should be ashamed to call this place one of their collision centers, knowing how BMW usually keeps very high standards for service and support! I rather go to a Chrysler dealership next time, like my insurance agent suggested me to do in the first place!

After someone backed into my BMW, I took it to Momentum West Collision. I was told it would take a few days, but luckily for me, it was extended to a few weeks. I say luckily because I was able to drive the rental Kia Soul around for way longer than I could have ever hoped. If that wasn’t great enough, the fine folks at Momentum West stole my expensive watch that was in the car, never got back to me when I asked about it, and when I finally tracked them down, was told that I shouldn’t have left it in the car to begin with. Sweet customer service!

These guys do a solid job! My Range Rover received some minor damage from a storm that requires some dent repair and a new windshield. Took exactly a week to order the parts and complete the work, just as Joe told me when I dropped it off. When I picked up it looked good as new and Joe had worked with my insurance company to take care of everything on that end. An easy, pain free experience!

ZERO STARS… this place is run with COMPLETE AND UTTER INCOMPETENCE.
My car has been there 95 days today and I still don’t have it back.
It only took 3 months to build the darn car out of thin air in Germany and have it shipped here… so really?
They have promised and promised and promised and every single time there is some sort of delay. It has gotten to the point that when my insurance adjuster calls I know without a doubt that it is bad news and YET ANOTHER DELAY… so far I’ve been 100% accurate. My adjuster said he has been doing this for many years and this is in fact the worse case of inept repair in a timely manner he has seen too.
The wrecker driver at the scene said do NOT take it here, and I assumed he had some sort of kick back from another shop so I took that with a grain of salt. Dear God in Heaven I wish I had listened to him!!! I have since learned that there are specialty collision shops that deal with Audi and do spectacular and speedy jobs.
So…if you…
1) Want to see and drive your car again… DON’T COME HERE.
2) If you want competent technicians working on your car… DON’T COME HERE.
3) If you want transparent honesty and not lie and excuse after excuse… DON’T COME HERE.
4) If you want to be treated as if you matter as a customer… DON’T COME HERE.
5) If you’d like to keep your blood pressure even remotely normal… DON’T COME HERE.
They are full of crap and not even remotely apologetic and unwilling to make any concessions to make this horrible and unsatisfactory experience tolerable.
The song and dance they gave me about waiting for a nationwide part is crazy as other shops have said they could have done it in less than a month.
So be fairly warned… run away…

Do Not use Momentum Bodyshop! It’s been over a month & they still have not finished a minor dent on the passenger side of my door. Absolutely awful customer service. Jose Carbajal doesn’t even call to tell me what’s going on or let me know the status of my car. I’m definitely not happy. Take your car elsewhere for repairs, because they are ridiculously expensive & a waste of time.

I was rear ended in December. I took my Volvo to Momentum because the Volvo dealership recommended them. From the get go, it was clear to me that these folks do not run a very detail-​oriented operation. My appointment to drop off the car was somehow «not in the system», the onsite Enterprise desk had reserved my rental at another location, and there were multiple delays in the repairs to my car. They finally admitted to me that they had my car confused with another Volvo and that was causing a lot of misinformation. When I went to pick up my car, there was a piece popped out of the driver’s side-​mirror, hanging down by the wires. When I pointed it out, the guy tried to pop it back in, and when that wouldn’t work, he said it was that way when I brought my car in!!! It most certainly was not… I was rear ended, for goodness sake. He brought a piece of SCOTCH TAPE out to secure the damaged mirror (I am not making this up) and said I was good to go. Unbelievable! Bottom line… This is Houston, you can take your car anywhere. I wouldn’t advise taking it here! If I could give this place no stars, I would!

Someone hit my VW Golf and their insurance (state farm) was paying. I called the collision center to figure out when to drop it off ect. Since the claim was state farm the «advisor» I ended up with was Joe. If you are an inner looper with a 7 – 5 downtown like me getting to this center is nearly impossible, they stop giving out rental cars at 5:30. Luckily I get off early on Fridays, but getting a Friday drop off was like pulling teeth. State Farm had no problem with it but the Collision Center has to be talked into it, during the discussion Joe actually told me «well you don’t have to take your car here». Anyways after much to-​do I ended up dropping my car off March 8^th. The damage was minimal a fender needed to be replaced and there were chunks taken out of my rim. I would have preferred the rim be replaced but Joe insisted insurance wouldn’t pay and that it was just to be re-​molded.
There is a rental car agency inside the collision center, they provided me with a Chrysler 200, which IMHO is not the best car. A crappy rental is one thing but the fact that I had to wait 40 minutes for them to drive it over from some other location and that it had ¼ tank of gas is annoying. Please explain to me how I am to return a car with exactly ¼ tank of gas? This is why it is customary to provide rentals with a full tank. He also charged state farm nearly $ 25/​day, I’m pretty sure the going rate in Houston is closer to $ 18 but I wasn’t paying.
Fast forward two weeks (10 working days at the shop) and my car was in. However there was still damage to the rim so I took it home and had to bring it back another day to get the last part fixed.

Your car will be fixed
Cons:
They care more about the insurance company than the customer
They don’t appreciate business
The service will take forever
The rental car affiliated with the service is inconvinient

my accident was in april 2011. i called audi west to talk to my service guy mike. mike said take it to momentum west (across the street). i will do what he says because he is the one taking care of my car for the past two years (even now).and if it is not done right, he knows he will never hear the end of it and will be made miserable until fixed. so i had the car towed there immediatley (from the accident site). and i got nothing but great service and communication from the collision center. thanks for being so great. i was so upset that my precious car was injured by someone else. the damage to my car seemed minimal, but there was alot of work neded to get my car back to perfection. i have included pics… thanks for the great service and i have had no problems with any of the work! just like new…

I was in a wreck 8 months ago, and my Audi dealership recommended I go here. The service was first rate and they took great care of me.
A few weeks ago a noise started from the same area that the accident occurred. They had me bring it in to see if it needed to be reexamined. It turned out that it was something unrelated to the accident, but they were able to fix it for free, even though it took about 15 – 30 minutes of their shops time. That is customer service! I will always come here for any body work I need. Mike Nguyen was the person I dealt with and he was great and very accommodating.

I was in a car accident in February and had my car towed to the collision center at the recommendation of my Audi dealership. Although I was very stressed upon my arrival, Hernan was very professional and patient with me when I first met him and throughout the month that my car was being worked on. He returned my calls right away and always had the answers to my questions. I will definitely take my car back to the collision center and request that it be under Hernan’s care if it is damaged in the future.

Horrible service! It literally took forever to get my truck back. They have a text message system that gives you updates on how long it will take to get your car back and basically every day got a reminder of how long repair was taking.
Should have never taken this long and I will never use them gain.

I took my car here thinking they were a first rate body shop since I purchased my Audi from their dealership. I was wrong. The car took a month to repair which I can understand but when the car was ready I had to take it back 3 more times because they could not do it right the first time. On top of that they had paint overspray all over the car and the manager Steve said it was due to air pollution.
Air pollution? My car is parked in a garage at home and covered parking at work and I wask and wax every week. People don’t think because they sell higher end cars that their body/​collision work is up to par. I would not take my car here ever again nor recommend them to anyone. I had to call their coporate office and file a complaint.

I swear, it was the pillar’s fault!
Teddy, my Audi, was recently injured by an ANGRY pillar in our parking garage. What’s a pretty lil’ southern belle supposed to do?
1)Call her husband
2)Search Unilocal for the answer
Number 2 is the answer 99% of the time. But in this case, our dealer’s recommended body shop was Momentum Collision Center, and Unilocal had no reviews. So I called my husband. His coworker recommended a little mom-​n-​pop shop. We checked both places out, but decided to go with Momentum because of their lifetime guarantee.
When we brought the car in, our service advisor carefully explained the work that needed to be done, and a breakdown of the cost for each service. Before any work was performed, we were provided with a written estimate. We compared it to the mom-​n-​pop shop, and it was pretty on par with their price.
Our damage wasn’t huge, just a couple of short scratches, but they were deep and cut through the paint. He explained the techniques Momentum uses versus most other body shops, so we felt comfortable leaving little Teddy in their caring hands. A few days later, we came back for our baby and he looked brand new! There was NO difference between the panel they fixed and the rest of the car.
I was so happy, I cried. No, seriously. I cried.
