This place is over priced and the staff is discriminatory, neglectful, and cold. Four cocktail waitresses ignored us while serving everyone around us. When we finally got someone’s attention she said she was no longer working. I left my coat and my half a drink beside my friend who was still seated at the table. 30 seconds later, a waitress took my drink and threw it out! By my calculations there was still $ 6 worth of overpriced drink left! If you don’t fit their bourgeoisie, flagrantly wealthy, skinny as a rail preferred customer profile, I would recommend you skip this one…

It’s an incredibly romantic bar. On a nice evening, sitting around the pool is spectacular!

Dim lighting, cozy couches, a beautiful outdoor patio(with cabanas, fire pit, lighted pool) that overlooks city center below, delicious cocktails. What more can you ask for in a trendy lounge type bar? This bar is part of hotel sorrelia, on the second floor. Came here around 6:30pm on a Saturday night for a drink. It had a fair amount of people but definitely not crowded yet which was nice. Perfect for an intimate date or girls night. I only tried one drink, the signature monnalisa cocktail. I think it had blackberry vodka or something in it. Tasted great Come on a nice day or night! The outdoor patio is definitely worth checking out!

The rooftop has a really nice patio by the pool. There is a live band as well and get pretty crowded on Saturday. The drinks are slightly pricey, but the Moscow Mule I had was very decent. Would be a great place to hang out once the weather cools down. Con: Can get pretty crowded

The scenery and aesthetics were beautiful. The illuminated pool with a multicolored backdrop is perfect to sit around and lounge or have discussions with someone close. However, it takes forever for the servers to actually come and attend to you even after they spot you with a drink menu in hand. As a general rule of service, the customer should never have to track down a waitress to be served. I would expect to be checked in on once sitting even if you don’t think I’m going to order anything.

Updating my review of this place because I find myself here every Saturday night just about. This is become our hangout spot. I’d advice you to go early; as in before 11pm. We try to get there at least around 10pm to catch the band playing. They take a break at about 11 or so and are back at 12am. There have been some awesome bands there so far. They are all from Austin, TX. I recommend this place and maybe you might run into me there. I’m single and ready to mingle and so is my sister hahahahaha. Swirling is encouraged. You can also go the their website and see what bands they have for the night.

I stopped in here and got my feelings hurt. That bartender must have been new as I ordered from the cocktail menu, but she didn’t know how to make my drink. The veteran bartender told her to follow the description, but I should have just ordered a glass of wine. She can’t measure by eye so I was ripped off. There was about an inch of pour space left in my martini glass. For $ 13 and 4 ounces, I was bit upset. The band performing was awesome. I also liked the seating areas and the pool lighting.

We just had wine and snacks there today. Maxine was super helpful and very nice. Wine was good, Brie was tasty, but the atmosphere is what you can’t beat! Very open, breezy, linen curtains and plush loungers surrounding the quaint pool and outdoor de k. Perfect little getaway for any Houstonian.

Love the ambiance here. I believe this is one of the few rooftop lounges in Houston. This lounge is wonderful at night. The pool is beautifully lit with different neon colors. The drink is on the pricier side but that’s okay because the atmosphere is great here. You’re basically paying to sit here more than to drink here. That’s the main reason why you come here right? For a lounge of this calibre, I expected them to have a full bar but they lack the ingredients to make my favorite drink, the grasshopper — a fairly popular drink with a lot of history. I don’t think they have that many(any?) crème drinks. Would be great if management can add more crème selections to the bar.

This place is pretty boring in my opinion. It had bands both nights I was there, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the music. I wish they would have played songs that everyone knew instead of their own. Seating is terrible. It is pretty much standing room only with a few chairs scattered around. It is attached to the hotel pool which is kinda cool. Of course the seating out there goes pretty fast. I don’t think that the waitresses are very attentive. If you want a drink, I would advise going to the bar and getting it yourself instead of waiting for one of the two waitresses to come by. The bar does not serve food at all. This is always something that I look for in a great bar. I like to snack while I drink. The beer that they serve is very standard but I’ve heard that they have a good wine list. The crowd itself is a little older. Maybe upper thirties? Definitely not a hotspot with the twenty something crowd. In general, I think it’s kinda a snooze.

Enjoyed the ambiance as well as the drinks! Very tasty! The live band was good when the tunes were upbeat. Im not a huge fan of country-esqe music so every song wasn’t my taste, but the outdoor deck/pool lounge was very sexy! It was cold the evening we went, but I can imagine how nice it is during the Spring/Summer! Can’t wait to return. Love the no cover and professional atmosphere… no drama and everyone is there to have a good time!

Nice quaint bar located inside of the Sorella but the size of a cracker jack box. Place was extremely packed on New Years eve. Nice view with gazebos and the pool reminiscent of a miami bar. A plus we recieved free drinks from the bartender that night.

Trendy bar with pricy drinks, what’s new? They have live music. Good place to sit & talk/catch up — that sorta deal, but not much else to do. I will say that the pool outside makes me anxious.

Great energy, live band was an awesome touch. Service was good and drinks were strong, can’t ask for more than that from a hotel bar/lounge!

I have been here a handful of times and I love it! It’s pricy but a gorgeous place and great service! Raul is THE best bar tender!!! Outside they have a pool and cabanas. Inside they have a full bar with private tables and a round table with a fire pit in the middle, so gorgeous! They also have a live band Thursday through Sunday.

My husband and I came here with my friend and her husband for drinks on a Saturday night. It’s located inside the hotel on the second(third?) floor. Unfortunately for us, it was pouring rain that night so the outdoor pool and patio area was closed. Overall I was not impressed. We arrived before my friend to find the place about 25% full at 10pm, but there were no seats available. The majority of the bar is standing room only, with some benches lining the wall closest to the patio and two«larger» tables with fireplaces. We snagged a cocktail table for our drinks, and my husband went to the bar to place our order. There were 4 cocktail waitresses working the room, but apparently a woman standing without a drink by herself at a table for 15 minutes doesn’t qualify for table service. Each time I tried to flag one down she was promptly look away and walk to the other side of the room. Getting drinks was painful– the bar was constantly packed, and with the willful ignorance of the waitresses mean we had to wait 15 – 20 minutes at the bar each time we wanted a drink. Completely ridiculous since the place was no where close to being full, and it was a «peak» drinking hour(10pm on a Saturday!). Drinks were overpriced for the wait and the quality. Once my friend arrived we were able to grab a seat on one of the benches. At this point my husband and I had ordered our first 2 rounds directly from the bar, and were running out of room to place our empty glasses. Once we were a group of 4, however, a waitress showed up and took their orders and finally took away our empty glasses to make room for our new drinks. Their namesake drink is the Monnalisa martini, and it’s alright. I believe they were $ 11 each, and were very sweet and tasted like blackberries. Not the best, but not the worst. Considering the bar is located in a swanky hotel in a swanky shopping center, I was annoyed that their live music choice for that evening was a country singer– woman lead with a small band. The music did not flow with the rest of the establishment– a jazz band would have been much nicer, and much less of an attack on my senses. Unless I’m going for someone I love’s event, I will not return. Being ignored for an hour by a waitress is insulting, the drinks are not worth the wait or price, and the live music choice was terrible. There are many better places to enjoy in the City Centre area, pick somewhere else to go.

Pros: The inside is beautifully decorated and there’s a massive fire place in the center(which is great cause it’s winter here). The outside has colorfully lit cabanas surrounding a pool(which I imagine is great fun in the summer). The mix of people was interesting – middle age people in ball gowns, senior citizens in suits, 30 something’s, and 20 somethings playing with their phones. Cons: Crowded, difficult to get a drink, and parking situation a complete nightmare. The band was too loud. They were musicians of some talent, but they played songs no one recognized. Songs with no hooks, that weren’t catchy; so they were just making noise. Most people in the bar seemed to agree with my assessment. The area around the stage would fill up when the band was on break; and would empty out when the band got back.
