Montierra Appartment

Just moved here a little over a month ago. The staff is really nice and helpful (Vincent has been awesome), and the maintenance has been super responsive if we had any problems with our apartment. The place has a lot of good amenities, although I wish the gym had a barbell for bench/​squats/​deadlifts but it’s still a good apartment gym. The apartment is in a good area, close to the Galleria, shops in Uptown, restaurants, etc. and is only a block away from the Tanglewood jogging trail, so if you like short distance running (3 – 6 miles) then it’s a nice trail to have near your apartment. Judging over the last month or so, I can tell this place isn’t a super «young» crowd, so it’s perfect for people who don’t care about that too much. You won’t find pool parties like in Metro Midtown over here, that’s for sure. But if you’re looking for a nice apartment in Uptown, this place is really great for the price!

I lived here for 4 months. and my experience was just great… Other than great locations that are near Galleria mall, lots of grocery stores, wall greens, and everything you can think of… the staff are friendly, maintenance was fast. the apartment area were very clean and with the big gate that is always closed, I feel safe (but off course you always have to lock your apartment door!). The pool, fitness centre, lounge… everything was great. I wish I could just stay here for a longer time. I moved out to pittsburgh for a job placement.

This apartment started going down I think as the years went by for my 2.5 year stay here. At first I loved living here with the amenities and being pet friendly, and don’t get me wrong I was sad to leave. However, being a gated community I thought it would be a lot safer. They had lots of issues with the gate breaking down as such being open during the night. This caused, many times, tires to be stolen from cars and I was thankful mine was never the one targeted. The security was some times lacking as I never knew where the guard was and it’s very easy for people to follow one another in. Other than that the location is great and I will definitely miss the convenience of going to the Galleria so often.
