I have had the worst experience of my life with this «company. «
I purchased a pre-​needs cremation plan for $ 2100.00. After my son looked through the paperwork, we discovered that I was being charged over $ 1200 for a $ 25.00 Urn, a small wooden box, 25 thank you notes and a booklet on how to prepare for final needs. I also discovered that I could have gone right down the street to their «When you die» Service center and purchased everything in the pre-​needs plan for less than $ 1600.00!!! I am old and on a fixed income, this was a lot of money for me. To take advantage of someone like me is the worst thing I think a company can do to the old, the sick, or anyone for that matter.
I also called around to price other plans. Neptune Society is exactly the same thing as National Cremation Service. They just act different so you think you shopped. Both are owned
by Service Corp International.
I cancelled my order, which by the way was yet another nightmare. Had to get a notary and the salesman back out and sign all these documents just to cancel.
I bought from Cremation One for less than ½!
Sad when old people are taken advantage of by a Cremation Company. Or any company that preys on the old.
