NOKturne

I went here for lunch today with a few co-​workers, and I was impressed! I really like the vibe at this restaurant. It was pretty empty while we were there, but the food was good and the service was excellent. I ordered the Chorizo Melt (Latin spiced soy chorizo, eggs, mozzarella and chipotle sauce on a hoagie roll), and some of my co-​workers ordered the Umami bomb soup and the curry fried rice.
Personally, I was impressed with the chorizo melt. It was filling, and the combination of flavors really worked for me. The others at the table also seemed to enjoy their food. A few people had a juice (lime juice or raspberry juice), which NOKturne is also well known for. The waitress was explaining to us that NOKturne is open until 3 am on week nights, and 5 am on weekends. She said all kinds of people come to hang out at night. You can BYOB or you can order some food or a juice.

Really love this place. So great that CL has a late night healthier option other than the greasy breakfast joints like Denny’s.
First I love the casual yet lounge atmosphere and of course it didn’t hurt that the music is what I listen to everyday. So that’s right up my ally.
We ordered two juices, the potatoes and veggie wrap. The food was excellent and the juices came straight from fruit to table. Only downside could be that the juices are a little pricey.

This place has a ton of great vegan options. Food and drinks were wonderful. Popcorn is a surprisingly underutilized snack.
It feels like you’re eating in a spa, and I don’t exactly know if that’s good or bad.
Prices for food were very reasonable in my opinion. Some things on the menu are at a very low price point while others are a bit higher.
Some of the seats are at very different heights which is kind of awkward.
The only thing I would complain about is that the service was kind of bad. But you should be fine, it wasn’t egregiously bad or anything.
Also, why no sign after all this time? If it’s intentional, it comes off as kind of contrived.
Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives to get 5 stars. Yeah, it feels like it’s trying a little too hard to be trendy. But considering this is Clear Lake, anything is better than the chain-​du-​jour that’s available.

Yay! I’m so glad this is here. The fresh juice would cost twice as much at a juice bar in Austin. The carwash is just what I need when I feel like I’m getting sick. Just put a sign above the restaurant y’all!

I took a friend out for lunch and we decided to come here due to the vegetarian options that they had. I ordered the veggie burrito and was surprised that it had so much flavor and kick for something that didn’t have any meat in it! Unfortunately my friend didn’t particularly enjoy her veggie roll due to its bland flavor and the sauce being way to sweet for her taste.
P. s. The cucumber water is really refreshing.

I ordered 3 items through the Eat24 service and was assured that my order had gone through. I show up 30 minutes after ordering and the guy at the cash register said that they were busy earlier and that he forgot to put the order in. He asked if we wanted to wait another 30 minutes for our food but we declined. I’ve eaten here before and the food has been good, but the service is very bad every visit.

Love their vietnamese iced coffee. It’s brewed to order, strong, and amazing. The owners are very kind and really care about their customers.

Let me tell you, our chicken zest sandwiches were the best .this was the first time we ordered delivery .what can say Awesome thanks. We will be calling back for sure.

Been here twice now. Tried the popcorn (free) Delish!
Then ordered the Gravloch. Heaven! Hubby had Mexican tuna salad. We fought over it!
There is a small stage, a room for relaxing, reading, playing Clue, Jenga, Chess, and other board games.
They show movies on the wall sometimes.
I am not interested in juice bars, but I am diabetic, and avoid fruits due to the high sugar content. Hated the water served with slice of cucumber. Not theirs, ANY cucumber water.
Prices are a little high, but you get ultra fresh and no preservatives.
Love the late night early morning hours!

First time there and loved it! A small hole in the wall type of place for late night hangouts. Food and drinks were good and some menu items are vegan friendly.

I took my wife and daughter here this evening to try something new (God knows Clear Lake needs some new and original restaurants!). The air conditioning wasn’t working and the seating was uncomfortable. Piped in music was all boring «spa» type music. The food was unremarkable at best. Probably wouldn’t be too bad for a light snack or lunch but not very satisfying for dinner.

As every one has already mentioned, the chicken zest is pretty amazing. That being said, the place itself is very cute and ideal to go to study during the day/​late afternoon. The waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. They give you free popcorn when you have given your order, and the cucumber water is always a plus. The only thing is it’s hard to see exactly where the location is since there is no big sign. Look for the empty brick wall next to some random taco place that’s on the corner of the strip. :)

It’s an interesting place, that’s for sure. It’s open LATE and there are some interesting characters in here. They really need to turn the AC on though, this is Texas… get with it. Okay to check out once, the juices they make are good but small. 3 stars because they are open late, otherwise it would be 2.

Finally, something new and interesting in Clear Lake.
The chorizo and Mexican tuna plates were outstanding.
This is a restaurant I would expect to find in Midtown. A refreshing surprise.

Great place to meet friends and hangout! Very relaxing environment. Recently the place is becoming more restaurant based rather than like a juice bar/​hangout spot but I can’t complain.
The juices and smoothies are great, healthy and vegan ingredients. My favorite is the Sweet Sunset. The food is delicious, all seems fresh and made to order. Prices are decent but have large portion sizes (pad Thai). Chicken zest is my go-​to meal here

Food is yum. Drinks are yum. Coffee is extra yum. This place is so unique and such a hidden jewel in clear lake. I love their hours, that they deliver, and they update and innovate their menu frequently.
They really should post their menus online.
My only negative is that every time I order delivery/​take out… the worker on the other end is either poorly trained, rude, or lacking customer service. It’s wild card on who answers on what night. I could go on about my experiences on that but don’t let it deter you from their awesome menu.

I should have done my homework before arriving, but I did not leave disappointed. My husband and child, however, did opt to eat somewhere else after perusing the menu.
Unlike others, I am not a vegetarian nor do I have a «healthy» diet. Therefore, perhaps my experience was a culture shock that thankfully did not leave me traumatized. Of my family, I am a bit more adventurous and decided to try this place anyway.
Perhaps most notable to mention is that the business name, NOKturne, is not on the illuminated business sign, but their logo (owl on a branch) is. It’s not particularly in a good location… It’s in the small plaza behind the Chevron off Gemini, across the street from the JSC Federal Credit Union.
While the menu was very small, I was able to order edamame as my appetizer, chicken pad thai, and an almond cake (name escapes me). I also ordered the Papaya Bliss smoothie. The food was delicious. I did, admittedly, knock off a lot of the salt from the edamame to have a lightly salted appetizer, but that was to suit my own tastes. The smoothie was rich and creamy. My plate was slightly chipped on one corner, but it had no bearing on the food’s flavor. The pad thai was slightly spicy. I am not a fan of cucumber, but it was a nice touch to the water I was given. The cake was very sweet, but had a nice, detectable almond flavor.
I also liked how the napkins and straws were well stocked and available at each table. The chairs were perhaps my least favorite aspect of the experience. They were quite low and not very supportive, but visually looked cool, in my opinion.
My server was nice, friendly, and attentive. He didn’t hover around and he also didn’t neglect me either. He made knowledgeable recommendations and cheerful banter.
I would probably visit again while I do late night work, but perhaps I will bring a back pillow or something with me.

Pros: Great tasting foods, nice atmosphere, healthy, decently priced, good service, love the popcorn
Cons: I wish they had more vegetarian options (for those of us strict veg heads who don’t eat seafood)
Overall: Go! There’s popcorn and hummus calling your name!

My favorite place after hours! Owners are super friendly and always help me with my diabetic-​friendly juice concoctions. Food is great, chicken zest & garlic mushrooms & steamed buns are my boyfriend and I’s go-​to choices there but there are still many other options that are good. I go and get the mushroom/​flu (can’t remember the name) tea whenever I am coming down with a cold and I’m well by the next day! Although it does take a little while to get your order it is SO worth the wait!

I really enjoy coming here for the healthy late night food alternative. The atmosphere is pretty cool, however I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for the food. I have talked to the workers/​owners and the all expect the wait time to improve as they refine the menu.
All that being said… This place was a lifesaver for me when I was prego. Not being able to sleep+always being hungry is not always a desirable situation…
